Excellent video! I wish I had thought about picking up a camera back when my go-to overland vehicle was a 5-speed Chevy Cobalt. I love spending a couple hours on a dirt road these days finding an epic campsite, only to have a prius pull up next to me a little while later 😂

Damn I’d love to see a rigged out Cobalt 😅 and yep…We always find ourselves going down trails in the cruiser and saying “we probably could’ve done this in the Prius” hahaha. Thanks Ben!

Love this video. I also drive a 2012 prius which I've taken on so many adventures than most "Overlanders". I totally agree as camping is not for everyone and you should start small before you get into it. The prius is probably the best adventure car because it just gets you out. I love not having to think about gas when I'm going on my next trip. Just like you.. I also have a Lexus GX470 which I take on back country roads. Although I love the GX.. I tend to pick the prius most of the time just because has been so pricy lately. Looking forward to more content.

Well done video with great advice. Thanks for the tips. We just did our first overland dispersed overnight in the national forest and it was awesome. Keep up the good work.

Nice to see another local 100 series owner. Hope to see you guys out on the trail someday, based on your spoils, our paths may cross!

For how many 100s I’ve seen cruising around Portland, we oddly haven’t come across one on the trail. But I’m sure we’ll see each other at some point 🤙🏼

There’s a few built local 100 series guy here that actively trail. Definitely outnumbered by all the 4Runners though. Came across a few but there are a lot of trails out here as you know.

Great video and message. I think people get intimidated by the amount of $$$ popular UA-cam channels tout and need to know that getting out there is attainable for everyone. And if your 'overland' rig is older like mine, you can't overstate the importance of maintenance :)

The limitations of the Prius you described can be overcome with another hybrid Toyota eg highlander RAV4 or Venza.

For sure! I’ve seen some cool rav4’s out there.

Is this Land Cruiser also a daily driver?
