    Holy Cow, I hope you guys don't move that often. There are many more improvements you could do to make that process MUCH easier! I'm glad you found a way to make it work for YOU. Bless your souls for all the work you do to make that space and then fold it-up again on every trip.

    I would not say that is “a lot” of work, but I do see why you would want to stay a week or more at at time and not bounce around every few days. Wonderful versatility for sure!

    I've been binge watching your episodes, learning so much along the way. On another note, I would love to see an episode of how you cook/eat while on the road that helped you lose weight. You look amazing and I always find travel the hardest time to eat healthy.

    Man, that's quite an office. One thing I noticed - the tie-downs on your camper floor. We had those in our last camper, a Raptor. They would not hold - several pulled out of the floor and allowed the bike to tip. Watch those very carefully and ensure they stay solid. Those Wheeldock units are OUTstanding. We have two and use them often - never had a failure and they really hold the bike well. I can heartily recommend those. You two are quite inventive. I love to view your videos.. Best wishes.

      On the Momentums, they add steel plates welded to the frame under the tie downs... We've had the D-ring bend over time but never come out. You can see how they're built here: ua-cam.com/video/1OEcfhBfIlI/v-deo.html

    I’ve watched many of your videos and really enjoy them, but this video is the one that hits the bullseye for me. I’m still in the planning/research stage. I’ll be an empty nester I about 18 months, but the issue of toys and working full time while RVing has been the biggest challenge for me to figure out. I think you just showed me how I should do so. Thank you so much for taking all of the time to put this video together!!!

    This is a very useful video. The things you have figured out to make the garage conversion and the office setup as seamless as possible are ingenious and extremely useful.
    The only problem I have with this video (like last week!) is you are really messing with our plans! Every time we get to the point that we think we know what RV we want, you come up with ideas that make us reevaluate what we’re thinking! 😜
    Also, Daisy’s bed is much bigger than her. She’s a princess and you need to learn your place. That is her RV and home and you are her servants and tenants, so move her bed yourselves! She’s got you trained. 😂

    What a cool vid guys. Appreciate the trouble y’all went through to show it all. Tara, just wanted you to know that I personally care about your comfort. Having said that I’d probably crank down the AC too! But I’d get you a nice cozy blanket, some furry slippers, and some hot cocoa. 😜 I’m glad Chad mentioned Lucille being a bit dirty. It gives me another chance to request a video on how Chad details her after riding. He’s so precise with everything I’d like to see how he does it and what he uses. Just an idea. Thanks for the great vid and again for all the trouble. Troy

    • @brucegruenbaum
      @brucegruenbaum 4 роки тому +1

      Agreed. I also really would like to see a video where Chad walks us through his thought process as he rides the bike in and out of the garage. There’s a point at which reaching the ground is difficult. What’s the approach going in? Where’s the “keep going” zone? How do you deal with that backing out? It took me a few videos to realize that the reason Chad starts the bike coming out is that by putting the bike in 1st and having the clutch in, he has a “pull it forward” backstop if he has a balance issue going backwards. If you have a 900+ lb bike, you know how important that is. My H-D Road Glide Ultra weighs 950lb and I have a fairly good idea of how difficult this is and how easy Chad makes it look! The detailed loading tips would be really useful.

    Thanks, it’s a good idea for a basic set up. For us, it’s a bit of a more complicated set up, because we both need separate office space for our jobs. In example, my hubby works in DevOps. He uses 4 monitors, plus has meetings throughout the day. I work in risk management, use 2 monitors and lots of phone calls throughout the day. So, we need something a bit more custom/specialized. The good thing is that we don’t have any toys nor are interested in any. So that would be a more permanent set up.

    Multi purpose room is the whole reason we ended up going with a toyhauler too. We use the cheap automotive style storage chests from Walmart. The wheels on them helped move them around a little bit. We also have two ikea metal cabinets that can be wall mounted but we have them stacked and bolted together for the floor. It sets against the front wall when we're stationary and moves to the side and straps down when we load the RZR.We also added pegboard behind the living area door and installed 2 wooden cabinets between the upper bunk and loft. It took a while to find those cabinets as they had to be a particular measurement.

    Yeah bed head...friends of ours call it Pillow Head before the shower happens. Love the Internet Command Center plan. It's amazing how much camera gear is needed. Moving and storing Gigabyte/Terabyte files is quite a task if you don't have 1/giga or 10/giga network cards/switches. You've got the garage modified to work out just right, nicely done. Cheers.

      @@ChangingLanes Here too. A few years ago I ran CAT6 under my home and routed home runs to each bedroom, living room, kitchen nook and the detached garage in back. I have a WiFi Gateway from Fios in the garage, point of entry, and routed two CAT6 lines to a Netgear WiFi Gateway in a clothes closet centrally located in the house. The second line is a back up. From there, hardwired the house, all gigabit. Works really good for WiFi and the hardwired obviously for items that don't move like TV's and desktop stations. Can't figure out why cell phones will not disconnect from one WiFi that is close by and then no longer is close to that one but is closer to the other WiFi. It takes a long time for that transition and both have been set up with different channels. That's the only tiny issue and I can share files from computers to computers just perfectly as one computer has the large hard drives while the others are set up with SSD/NvME storage. Terminated all of the home runs myself after learning the color code I wanted. Microsoft messed this up however as the new annual updates no longer allow computers to be seen when browsing the Network. I have to type in the computer names to get access, no more computers being populated by default. NetDisc is enabled too.

    We have the "pinless" system in our 351M and it works great. Now if they can come out with a way to raise and lower the top bed without having to raise and lower the lower couch/bed system, that would be yuuuuuge!

    • @ChangingLanes
      @ChangingLanes  4 роки тому

      That would be great... Would require a second chain and a thicker mount for it, but it sure seems doable.

      I wanted to ask you why you never had any videos on maintenance on tow vehicles. I constantly am checking my transmission temperature because they say the temperature should not go over 200°. I switched to Amsoil transmission because of its lubrication properties and that it can withstand higher temperatures compared to other fluids. Amsoil has some VERY good videos. Love to hear your comments on this.

      Not much to say in that arena.. We take it to Ford and do whatever they say... LOL I do have them use synthetic (Amsoil) whenever available...

      I guess I am more fussy about the maintenance and do much of it myself. I am constantly watching the Temps and all the tire pressures. The single lady that knows you in the Park said you did a video on a plug in device that monitors many other things like turbo temperature etc. Could not find the video. Anyway if you're ever in Jupiter FL call me I'll take you fishing.

    You can use the 10tb external drive for the NAS also, remove it from the case, it is a whitelable WD Red Drive, much cheaper than buying the red ones!

    Great video...more pre-buy research now though. Was locked on a GD 390 RK bit after this video we will be consider the toy hauler and flipped it to an office. If I can figure out sage fulltime internet, might move our plans up by years.
