Small tip, but I would love to see them use some sort of filler wood that moves with the TV (like they do on the top of the TV) but at the bottom of the TV so that when the TV is in the up position, it would help keep things from falling down behind the fire place. Hope that makes sense. Loving these videos.
Congrats, you two! I feel like you're family since we started our 397 journey right after you did. Chad was always so helpful when I had questions! We used to say WWCD (What would Chad do?) Since the garage was our office too AND we had a bike (now two), I can really relate to the new improvements. I'm happily sitting here in my sticks n bricks, but full-time RV life and the people we met as a result will always have a special place in my heart. So glad I had that experience. Ride safe!
I really love that little dog and the steps the he carpeted just for the dog. I love it when the dog is family & people who really do things to make the pets life better. I don’t love the TV placement, but overall I do really love the new designs and floor plan that you guy’s came up with.:)) I absolutely love the lighter, brighter look too! My favorite colors to have around me are naturals, with greens or lavender accents, so I think that you did an amazing job accenting with the different lamps, the amber bottles, the green accents here and there. It really looks fantastic!! 👍

As an Aussie, I love that you called the toilet "The Loo" lol. Also, the personal touches really make this feel like a real home compared to all the other trailer tours I've been watching. This is easily my favourite. You've got excellent taste.

We have learned so much from Chad over the years with mechanics and technology. We love Grand Design. We are mainly week-end warriors (GD Imagine 2500rl) but you all help us in deciding possible destination spots and /or activities available to us when we travel. I had never considered a toy hauler before, but after seeing this model, I could be easily persuaded! Congratulations Chad and Tara - it is easy to see your pro experience of actually LIVING in a rig for an extended period of time resulted in so many beautiful ideas coming to fruition in the main build. I would be remiss, however, to not throw a bouquet to Tara for her exceptional design ideas. Not only do they each have specific purposes, i.e., the softer lighting to ease the eyes, the completed aesthetic is jaw dropping. Your instinct to add natural elements and colours was spot on. As they say in the Canadian military for a job exceptionally well done: BRAVO ZULU!!!
Chad & Tara; it's great you had input with the manufacture for layout of the RV to make it your home on wheels. I really like the light wall paint with the medium tone doors and trim. Of course the kitchen is a darker gray.
Love The bigger bathroom. Much better space especially for a married couple. One thing I really like how it changes the look and feel of the whole space is the chaise lounge/sofa you have, much more residential looking and just makes the whole space look and feel more inviting. The bedroom is a great space too. Love the very accessible washer and dryer units. The under storage is great too along with the back up camera which I think is a must and the taut slide cover's as well. I wouldn't want the outside TV or audio system so I guess I'd gain a little storage but not much. I really like your new garage space and 1/2 bathroom. Very smart and much more like a extension of your living space. If I were the guest in there it would feel like I wad in My private room instead of just a bed inside a garage, much more welcoming space. Love that you are carpetless except the steps for your little fur family member, and you have washable throw rugs, I have now 5 small dog's and 4 cats so having a place more suited to them is very important to me and you did a wonderful job.
Chad & Tara, my husband and I love y’all and the RV is fabulous! We started with a 2022 Forest River Vibe-34BH and having that reinforced what we already knew. We love RV life. You both have taught us so much and shared great ideas. We just traded in for a 2023 Sierra Luxury 38FKOK. WOW, I get the 5th wheel difference. ❤❤❤❤❤❤. Now where the TV came up, the ledge on the right sure looked like grease.. not sure I (who cooks a lot on our rig) would want the TV there. Love the new home. From one of your recent videos Chad mentioned remotes for the boobie lights, we bought a couple and they are great and so easy to install. One of the ones we got has 2 remotes, one is a peel and stick and the other is a key chain. That one is great for the ceiling light that is right at the door. We can turn it on from outside as we are walking up to the RV. Thanks for the tip and good luck with your new home!
OK Chad, I figured out to become a upgraded support to you and Tara and my special friend Daisy, on this You Tube thing yo all do! I really enjoy you and Tara and when your daughters come and meet up and you share your travels! I think this is so sweet for us older baby boomers that do not move like we did 60 years ago, that you share your version of life as you are now, because we were there before! Just paying it forward my friends!
I love Mpix! I used them with my former photography business and have those metal prints for some personal pics. The colors really pop on those prints!
Congrats to the two of you,it's beautiful for sure. Ive been traveling out west for almost a month now. Staying in some state and some private parks. Non of them would be able to accommodate that big of a rig. I think I would invest in a Simi tractor to pull that kind of weight. Happy travels and be safe!!!
Looks like you've made it your home. I love your special touches - it's very cozy and inviting. I agree with you, Tara, about that deep cabinet in the bathroom and actually emailed you with a solution early on in your building process. I suggested that in your bedroom, back near the corner, there should be a tall closet ( for more hanging space, shelves for clothes, brooms closet. etc.). That way the shelves in the bathroom won't be so deep, and that can be full length storage as well. Love your channel, and I learn a lot. I've already made some of your suggested upgrades to our new 391DL.
We considered that, but didn't want that whole wall to have the dark colors. But, I think they are considering a more natural wood color in place of the dark grey and that might be better for cabinet doors there.. 👍🏼
Wonderful! We are not full time, but I have divided my clothes and shoes to travel and home. Added a blow dryer for rv. That way I don’t have to load and unload every time. We travel enough, that we can leave can goods in pantry. Only unloading refrigerator and food items that would draw critters or spoil.
Looks so nice. Glad you guys were able to help with the design. Love the patio. Can't wait for the volta system video. Not sure if you can discuss the price of that system but would be curious. Also how long it can run your systems including AC's. Laughed like crazy when Chad talked about the font. I feel your pain although I am a couple decades older I am still doing okay with most fonts. Love when I go to a restaurant and see someone else using the flashlight on their phone to read the menu. Funny how our bodies change over time. Why the heck to I have all these new places hair grows.😀
My husband and I will be hitting the road in about 7 years when I retire from 30 years of teaching. We ride too so a toy hauler is a must. We are keeping our house as a home base as we will be close to paying it off at that time. We will be shopping for this exact or similar model at that time. We are planning to buy one used. We love all the changes you made and how this seems designed for a couple without kids.
Jen and I are brand new full timers! We just got our new Momentum 410th r based on your videos- pulling with a Ford 450. Always look forward to your new videos! We used your website to buy a bunch of stuff I have to install now- ha!

This is totally awesome! I love it all except the tiny water closets, because y’all are a trimmer size than me and it would be a tighter fit getting in/out, but also I have very bad knees/hip and I need more space since I can’t bend my knees back to get my legs to slide back out of the way. Also would prefer what is known as an elevated toilet, it’s for seniors or disabled, but it’s for the same reasons I mentioned last sentence. But I really love this RV!

We are not full time, but I have divided my clothes and shoes to travel and home. Added a blow dryer for rv. That way I don’t have to load and unload every time.
We travel enough, that we can leave can goods in pantry.
Only unloading refrigerator and food items that would draw critters or spoil.

Also how long it can run your systems including AC's. Laughed like crazy when Chad talked about the font. I feel your pain although I am a couple decades older I am still doing okay with most fonts. Love when I go to a restaurant and see someone else using the flashlight on their phone to read the menu. Funny how our bodies change over time. Why the heck to I have all these new places hair grows.😀

My husband and I will be hitting the road in about 7 years when I retire from 30 years of teaching. We ride too so a toy hauler is a must. We are keeping our house as a home base as we will be close to paying it off at that time. We will be shopping for this exact or similar model at that time. We are planning to buy one used. We love all the changes you made and how this seems designed for a couple without kids.

Love this RV and set up. Especially the office. So I can work remotely. Due those desk collapse so there are seating/couches
This is totally awesome! I love it all except the tiny water closets, because y’all are a trimmer size than me and it would be a tighter fit getting in/out, but also I have very bad knees/hip and I need more space since I can’t bend my knees back to get my legs to slide back out of the way. Also would prefer what is known as an elevated toilet, it’s for seniors or disabled, but it’s for the same reasons I mentioned last sentence.
But I really love this RV!
