@@ffrnando4388 it depends on what you want. The N is more fun to drive , has a way better exhaust note, and comes with a 10 year 100,000 mile warranty, oh and did I mention the N is $7,000 cheaper.
Doug Maverick True in some sense, but the Type R offers best of both worlds, performance And handling. The exhaust in the N is definitely a good feature the Type R lacks. However in price point, the Type R definitely keeps it value. There's used type R's with 5-10k miles and still sell close to Msrp. Limited warranty isn't long compared to Hyundai's but you have to remember Honda builds last a long time, when talking about a stock type r.
Fernando J. The type r is a great car, I was actually considering one but couldn’t bring myself to pay the crazy markups the dealerships around me were doing. The N is still a fun car especially for the price, the interior definitely isn’t as nice as the type r but I personally came from cars that didn’t necessarily have good interiors with that being said I’m satisfied with the N’s interior, it has a nice big screen, apple/android auto pretty good speakers, nice backup camera and you can’t beat those customizable settings you get on the N.
@@chrizzz619 plus Chriz with the N you don't have to put up with the crazy boy racer/ricer looks of the Type R. I think the exterior of the N looks much better than the R.
2020 Turbo Owner here with N Wing. I like the over all look of the Performance wing but I don't like the extra height over the Standard N Wing. Wonder of the N Wing "end caps" are removable and if I can have new ones made....
Very good tutorial, the only thing that would have made it outstanding is if you had either used a tripod to set the camera/phone down enabling you to use both hands, or had someone film you while you removed and replaced the wing. Other than that, this was a very good vid and thanks for showing us all just how easy it is to do👍🏾

@@chrizzz619 Hi can totally understand that. I only got my VN “2021 DCT” just before Christmas. I immediately made a list of all the N Performance parts to upgrade to carbon fibre. The prices definitely widened my eyes and had me feeling that I should just keep the car stock. Seeing your vid has inspired me, the parts are still way too expensive but I definitely need to find a way to source carbon fibre parts, even if it’s a good aftermarket set. Great job on the wing and keep up the good work. Sub’d👍🏾
@@desire68frogman98 I’d recommend checking out scgarageworks.com they have a lot of carbon fiber parts or if you want something made they can probably work with you :) cool owner and prices aren’t as crazy high as the oem but the quality is really good!
You mentioned some 3M tape holding the spoiler, but you didn't go into any other detail. Looking at the video just as you removed the wing, I paused the video and it looks like there was some type of tape/seal around the hole where the wiring harness is routed. It looks to me that this would be very important to reseal, otherwise you might get a water leak past that hole and into the interior panel that you removed to access the bolts and wiring harness. Was that the 3m tape you alluded to? Was there any other tape anywhere?
Yes, the stock wing is held by 3m tape. The N performance OEM wing comes with 3m tape too, as for the rubber seal that the harness is routed through the N Performance wings comes with one too. If you pause at 0:16 you’ll see the seal that’s included. Basically the wing is plug and play, no extra material needed or no modifications if you buy new. I’ve had the wing for almost a year and haven’t had any leaks anywhere :) let me know if you have any other questions, thanks!
@@chrizzz619 I'm actually not getting a new wing, but I do plan on removing it so that the window tint folks can get a good template copy of the window which they do from the outside. It's a bit tough for them to do this while the wing is mounted, so I was planning on removing the wing and then reinstalling it. Any info you can provide with regards to material I should have ready i.e. type of 3M tape, where it's applied, wiring harness donut seal, etc would be of great help.

I didn’t have to buy any tape for my wing install because the wing was pretty much plug and play, the 3m tape was already attached to wing, what I would do if I were you is take off your oem wing, mark where you see the 3m tape and then just reapply the new 3m tape, I’ll put some links to some good 3m tape I’ve used for my window visors, amzn.to/3sOVBlH amzn.to/39EIk7H I linked some 3m tape and I’d highly recommend adhesive promoter as well, I linked it also. I’ve installed many aftermarket wings for friends on their vehicles and the adhesive promoter really really helps it stick to wherever you’re sticking it to, also make sure you prep good too, (clean it very good and everything) as for the donut seal I’m sure you’ll be able to reuse the oem one, if not maybe you can get one from a Hyundai dealership :)
Are there any gaps that water can leak in through?. My 2015 after market spoiler has a gap that I had to seal myself. From socal carbon fiber creations.

SOLID117 If it’s worth the price it’ll be honestly up to you. it’s real carbon fiber and the quality is definitely good! I love the way it looked ever since I saw it and to me I don’t regret getting the wing because it’s something you see everytime you look at the car. It’ll definitely be cheaper than getting it from Korea right now, the shipping is what’s making this even more expensive. Still expect to pay $1k+ when and if it makes it to the US. If you have the extra money and they’re in stock right now I would say get it. Or you can try waiting till all this that’s going on right now is over and we should see this and other N Performance parts in the US :)
nperformancemall.com has all the Korean Veloster N performance parts. The wing is about $1440 US. The ordering parts was in Korean and wouldn't translate so I'm not sure if it can be ordered directly to the US from the website.
Yea you’ll have to talk to someone that’s willing to get it for you from korea and have them ship it to you to the US. That website doesn’t ship to the US (from what I know). I got it from some guy on Instagram, he’s shipped lots of N Performance parts to people here in the US, if you have an Instagram you can message him there.
I didn’t replace the front emblems I had them plasti dipped, but I changed my whole front grill and saw the front H and N emblems are clipped in so you do have to remove the bumper and access them from the inside to remove them, the back N and Veloster emblems are just glued on so you can get a heat gun/hair dryer, some fishing wire or dental floss and remove it that way, I’m not so sure if the back H logo has holes when you remove them

No no gaps anywhere and it doesn’t leak either, it’s an oem wing from Hyundai so fitment is perfect
