I retired 3 years ago at age 52. Two weeks into retirement I quit smoking and started exercising. Quitting smoking was the best thing I ever did in my life.
I also quit smoking after a 42 year habit. Both the best AND the hardest thing I have ever done. That was 13 years ago, and I still reach for the shirt pocket every time I put the car in gear. 😂
I've been watching Paul for some time now and have never commented but,I'm going to now.Paul has helped many people with life struggles and information on immigration to the Philippines.Paul has helped me with a medical issue and he doesn't even know it.I too recently found out my Hemoglobin was high and when the doctor told me this i knew right away what he was talking about through Paul.I watched the videoo about him explaining it.I am now smoke free, just recently .Thank you Paul😊

@@tilapiadave3234 sorry to disappoint you, but quitting smoking is never worse than not. I smoked for way too many years and finally quit four decades ago, stopping bad habits has never been worse than continuing to practice them. Give the body a break and it might surprise you how well it can work to repair damage. Smoking cigarettes or any other substance is definitely harmful, speaking as an ex-smoker, I can say that stopping the hideously nasty, harmful habit is one of the best things a person can do.
Great seeing you Paul. Just to pass along I’m Aleta mouth breather and former smoker for 45 plus years. I quit nearly 10 years ago and honestly that’s when all my health issues started. COPD and constant coughing and phlegm still to this day. It’s like walking around with pneumonia and lung infections, upper respiratory infections and problems just seem to be a way of life now and this is 10 years since quitting. Coughing six feet above beats the alternative. Don’t vape as it’s even worse than smoking. Baby Mae did a great job informing us of your progress to your faithful subscribers and I appreciate that.
Charlesbronson5235 - I was a smoker for 26 years up to 3 packs a day at one point. I quit in 1987 and gained 50 pounds in 1 year of not smoking, food taste so good. I am now 78 years old and I do not take any perscription medications. I do however take one Ester-C for upper respiratory health and two Moringa Oliefera capsules (Pura Vida) brand I like the best. The moringa is to keep my Arthritis at bay.
Except difference is that you're still young and Paul ain't. Quitting smoking at younger age the body responds better than quitting at older age. The transition can be too stressful. And I think Paul's body has a hard time dealing with this.
Congratulations Paul! Well done! I'm pretty much the same with you. Full time smoker for about 50 years. I will be doing what you did. Quitting smoking. I'll let you know how it goes. As a long time subscription, I always value your straight up posts here!
Paul you may not notice yet but you look better than ever. Maybe losing a little weight coupled with quitting the smokes has something to do with it. The hardest days are behind you. Congratulations!
Thanks a lot you're ok. It might take a while for your recovery. We missed your vlog so, take it easy and health first before other unnecessary things you love to do before. Have a good one.
Hey Paul, good to see you up and about good to see you back on UA-cam I think you had a lot of people concerned about your health and your well-being. You may not think about that this way, but you mean a lot to a lot of us guys out here that are getting ready to come over there or even thinking about it, so it’s really good to see you back
I remember back in the 70s the smoking society smoking areas in restaurants in flights in buildings etc . I haven’t smoked for almost 40 years and still have that urge to smoke. Thank god your feeling better and quit smoking you gave me a scare at the beginning of the video for you and your health .
I remember those years as well. I just smoked for about 3 years or so in my early 20s, never even tried before. One day I decided it was time to quit. That must have been sometime in 1982. Never touched a cigarette since, at one point I even started to find the smell disgusting.
Hey Paul, I quit nicotine three years ago. I understand the struggle! The psychological attachment dissipates little by little. There absolutely will come a time when you do not think about cigarettes. Hopefully, this is encouraging ! Hang in there!

Thank you for sharing Paul and Mae, so pleased to see you’re back up and running. I to struggle with tobacco use, chewing tobacco. I can relate to the 3,3,3. Anyway thanks for sharing and God’s blessings to you both.😊😊

Thank you Paul for the update. Glad to see and hear you are ok. I must say you are wise on what it really means to quit smoking.
