I just installed on a Ranger today. Instructions were not great, 3 different sets of instructions that I had to go back and forth with, and I may have missed it somewhere but I was installing with a drop in bedliner which caused me some problems. I did get it installed, and I left the bedliner in. In hindsight I should have taken it out but by the time I realized that I had 2 of the 4 special brackets installed already.
All that said, I do love the cover now that it's installed. Had a cheapo leather roll up one which looked and worked great, BUT wind was causing me problems and I was getting tired of pulling over every time it's windy (basically daily in Nebraska). This thing fits better then the X2 I had on my previous truck, easier to roll up, no felt underneath that falls off, is black on the bottom instead of the exposed aluminum, tie straps have better design, and has the T rails which I've only installed some tie down points so far for loads I may put on top the cover or for when I'm using a tarp for hauling leaves etc.
Everyone has a perfect cover solution for themselves, some may want no cover, some like the fold up kind or a topper of some kind. This solution is the perfect for me, rolls up quickly for 100% bed access and 90% length of bed above the rails due to the roll, also I can see 50% out my back window wish is better than 0% of folding.

Is the rack really secure just connected to the cover rail?

So how high would say that the bedcover is after it’s rolled up? Trying to see if I can add a Slim Line 2 rack that would go on the retrax bedcover.

Can you slide the rear truxedo rack towards the front?

Would you be willing to do a video showing compatibility of the X4TS with other rack systems like Yakima's Overhaul system? I have been waiting for the X4TS for a while but am not a fan of the elevate system so am curious about other options.

All these videos are from customers trucks, and most customers are not a big fan of the price of the yakima products. I always give prices on both and the customers peffer the truxedo racks. The Yakima racks are on average 40 percent higher than Truxedo racks. I sell both , but I have the truxedo racks on my personal truck and I think they are a better bang for your buck. Maybe one day I will get customer who wants spend the extra money and I will do a Yakima video.

I have the x4ts on a 22 Tundra crewmax and also have Yakima Overhaul hd. It will not work with the x4ts. The mount yakima uses overlaps the rubber molding on the cover. Yakima racks will only work with pace Edward’s and a couple of other covers. Not a fan of the elevate only 2 positions but only rack I found to work with x4ts.

@@jameskelly4494 The elevate has 3 settings 18 inches, 23 inches, and 28 inches, plus you can add more if needed. I found the elevate the best set up out all the companies . You can uses the Yakima but it requires a adaptor kit, which drives me crazy. That you have to keep spending more money on the Yakima products.

@@CHAutoAccessoriesMargate I am close to getting the Elevate , and I'm glad they have three positions now , but I'd like to have one with one shorter position like 10 or 12 inches. Maybe trim the legs . I know this would sacrifice inches from the max height , but who needs 28 inches ?
