Keep giving it to us strait Anna! This channel is for people who really want to know what is on trend for a classy look without having to do all the research ourselves. My wardrobe looks up to date now. Thank you!
Yes please 🙏🏻 I was thinking the same thing. Don’t worry about the few easily offended please. Honestly one of the main reasons we are here is for modern fashion advice.
I absolutely love flare leggings, it makes me look like less of a triangle and balance me out. I also love split leggings. And my pop of neon is sometimes a bright mani or pedi lol. Bright neon pink, coral or blue can be cute for a mani or pedi. And I dont like graphic tees unless doing housework lol
One tip on the paper bag shorts: Don't get rid of them! Take out the tie and use a belt instead. Instant upgrade. They're the only kind of shorts that fit my body type and I refuse to part with them.
I am happy on a Sunday morning having a tea and seeing this! Like talking Anna Fashion for a confidence and creative boost for my day! Thanks Anna! you look amazing as always.
Love your idea of goals. I’m setting a goal to wear something at least 2 times per week that I’ve not worn in a year or so. Maybe this will give me motivation to purge!
I never mastered the front tuck! I always looked like I made a mistake when zipping up my jeans. Full tuck and bloused out a little is the answer for me! Thanks Anna!!😅😅🎉🎉
I’ve been waiting for capris to come back. My calves are a bit too thin and the capris make them look in curvy. Plus, it’s a nice alternative to shorts and skirts.
I have NEVER liked the “half front” tuck with button up shirt (vertical half tuck) . It looks like you ran out of the bathroom in a hurry and didn’t check yourself before you walked out. 😂
Love the inspiration and especially last top tips...planning outfits next day and wearing you best clothes a whole week. Having health/disability doing these things make my days special and dress up even if only medical appts as mostly home. It makes a HUGE difference psychologically as does your fabulous fashion podcasts. I'm saving for a Songmont Luna bag found through you one day!!! Thanks for the info and your FAAAABULOUS energy.🙏💚🌈🎉❤
Love your idea about setting mini ‘styling’ goals. With our UK weather currently so dreary find myself wearing jeans on repeat and nothing else in my wardrobe gets a look in. Going to do skirt on Monday, dress on Tues etc…regardless of weather! Thanks 😊
As a short 5'1" lady, it is so difficult to find petites in tops. So, if I cannot tuck a top in, I will always do a half or front top using a belt to emphasize my waist. I used to wear capris when they were in style, but looking back in pics, because I have muscular calves, I see how ridiculous they looked on a short girl. I think the only women who can pull it off are those who are very tall and slender. Love your videos because you give us ideas without making someone feel bad about what they like even if it is not in style. Afterall, styles come and go.
Stand firm about capris, Anna. They take "women of a certain age" straight to Frump town. Exception, my petite sisters, who can make these look like cute ankle pants.
I don't usually do New Year's resolutions but this year I set a goal to make sure my clothes had no holes or pills and had an iron before wearing them out of the house. Each week I plan my outfits for the next week and make sure they are washed, repaired and ironed. I haven't added much to my wardrobe but it feels more exciting and renewed.
I still love my khaki green, slightly paper-bag style shorts, even though they’re too big for me now, as well as dated. I just haven’t found another pair of shorts I like as well in this color, which is an important one in my wardrobe.
I have some "bottom tie" tops that I still wear; I leave the ties untied and tuck them in or just completely cut them off that way the tops are still wearable.
Really clever!thank you!I have many of them and I love them. I think they are flattering,so I m going to wear them even if they are out, I just don't care. Plus, I don't have so much money as to change my whole wardrobe every season
How would you style a vest to look more up to date, but add something with sleeves? I love the look but need sleeves to meet my personal modesty goals.
Capris end up being proper cropped on my 5'3" frame🤣. Amazon is more "miss" than " hit" with fabrics and stylish clothes. Once I start seeing the saturation of an Amazon fashion trend with YTers , i avoid it
Anna, FYI homeglow is not a reliable service. I signed up after I watched your video. Worst experience ever!!!!! The cleaner they sent was extremely rude and unhappy with her job (unhappy with life in general). She didn’t want to clean I am not sure why she was there in the first place. I had to tell her to leave. After this experience, I tried to reach their customer service to report about my experience and provide a resolution or replacement. No response whatsoever. Obviously no phone number listed. Which should have been a red flag that I didn’t pay attention to.. It didn’t stop there they charged me $250 in the next month as I stupidly signed up initially on auto pay. If I were you I would stop plugging this company unless they get their act together.
I saw another UA-camr recently recommend paper bag shorts. 😂 I don’t gravitate toward them personally, but similarly, I cannot wear pleated shorts. I have slight S-curve scoliosis, so I have a nicely defined booty, but my stomach protrudes slightly more than normal. Pleated bottoms of any kind accentuate this in all the worst ways.
I think the socks on top of the yoga pants look is really cute. I styled them with many outfits during the winter and spring but they are getting too hot now.
Zella makes good flare leggings. I’m with you on the socks and leggings, it feels weird to me. I never did the slogan T-shirts. I still wear graphic T-shirts. No to polyester! I love linen, cotton, and rayon for summer. I like the goals ideas, this will give an opportunity to wear things you buy then forget about. Thanks Anna
I love when wear colorful or black socks, as part of style with heels, but athletic white socks I don’t like it. If it’s with some loafers, but that as far as I would go😳🤪 I dont worry about the trends. I am changing my closet, I am obsessed with Celine old archives, and I don’t know how Phoebe P does, but her collections, from 2010-2018 are as much in demand as her new line, if not more. And as a stylish…😜 Have a blessed day🙏❤️
Ive enjoyed capri pants in the past and if they are making a comeback im here for it! I do understand that based on build they may not be for everyone.
walmart still sells 'pre-tied' tops. i hate capris, my calves are too muscular for them, but im short, so buy a lot of capris for 'regular height' people, since they fall on my ankle and are a better fit length wise on me LOL
What a AMAZING idea!!! Then and NOW!!! (and you show pictures, I LOVE IT!) I agree with you about capri (100%!!!); SO difficult to wear fashionably and properly! No-show socks....still thinking like you !!! (tee-hee) but...but...if I may help, Ms Anna, one thing that " reconciles " me with the idea to wear socks over and well " en vue " is....lovely-cutie ones! You know? Ones with designs, flowers, cute faces, etc??? It is...whimsical and it helps...(and I still wear my no-show socks, needless to say. 🤭) (you know? I wear the graphic-tee that I love...as pj's! Voilà!)🤩 I am SO GRATEFUL for the GOAL you suggest at the end of your video! Charming idea that I will try to follow!!! Superb Ms Anna! I am leaving FAT & POOFY 😂with so many wonder-full ideas!!!! You are GRRREAT! helene :))
I love your videos and advice on fashion. But I just can’t do linen. I will not iron my clothes so they have to be ready to wear. And I’m in Florida too. So I just deal with the heat.
Front tuck gets sloppy after moving around. Not a fix for tunics with proportions that are not flattering. I've been trying to invest in shorter tops with better proportions with higher waisted pants or fabrics thin enough to fully tuck.
I live in Alaska, so a lot of your hot weather fashion isn't practical for me, but I still love your channel and your style! I wish I could wear tank tops and shorts, but I'd freeze!
I agree, I just turn those shorts into somewhat flowing pants and long sleeve tees. I find washable wool tees to be great. Can be hard to find, but worth the investment. If you sew you can make them.
I'm also not feeling the leggings and socks look, I feel like it makes me look shorter, so I just keep the socks inside the leggings so you see them but less, that works better for me 😅
The whole sock legging trend just makes me think of baseball players. No can do. I love a flared legging but it’s can get in the way when you work out. I am still on the no show sock train. Choo choo!
Flared leggings/yoga pants - imo they're for the gym, not for going out or even wear around the house because it gets you used to wearing casual/athleisure/comfort clothes too often and any stretchy material/elasticated waist encourages overeating. Wear fitted pants/jeans/skirts, etc. instead and look a little more put-together ladies!
That’s a great idea to make yourself wear something nicer one day a week. Specially, if your stay at home person. Ruffle your feathers had to come from a farmer who raise chickens.😂😂😂😂
I tuck in all my tops all-around, or wear waist-length ones (as many cropped tops are on petite me). Certainly nothing longer than the top of my hip bone. After feeling frumpy for years, I realized it was all those long, tunic tops of around Y2K that were dragging me down. Longer tops are coming back on trend, but I’ll pass on them, they just don’t give flattering proportions, whatever their style or cut. Also, I avoid those mature brands because every top is tunic-length and many have 3/4-sleeves, two of the old-lady things I hate, along with too-bright colors and novelty or loud prints. I don’t care how full a woman’s figure is, showing the waist is always more flattering. I’m a normal, slender weight (US size 6-8) but my tummy is definitely more rounded than in my youth, but I don’t let it stop me from tucking tops in, it makes a huge improvement. I don’t like any of those sloppy, partially tucked-in looks either. The very skinny figure with a flat tummy is a quite modern beauty standard; throughout the vast majority of history, a more rounded, fleshed-out figure was the feminine ideal.
You speak about the front tuck and the paper bag style shorts as if they were popular years ago, and they really were pretty recent. I never cared for either and am glad to see them go, but it wasn’t long ago and many influencers regarding fashion are still half tucking. 🤷♀️
I tried the visible socks and leggings thing once, and I was so much hotter (like temperature hot 😂) and felt like I looked like a straight fool. I will die on the hill of ankle socks and leggings! 😂 #teamletthemanklesbreathe
FYI- You talk in multiple videos about how capris are not a good look, but you keep showing pictures of pedal pushers. Love the style goal recommendation.
All the moms are showing the socks at drop off and pickup. It’s too trendy for me. Just not classy. I’m not going to protest it or anything but I definitely see it and think, wow, the teens aren’t even jumping on this trend. It must be bad lol

front tuck is better than that one side of a button up shirt tucked in
I love my paper bag shorts!

Same!
I still love them as well, and think they are often times more flattering with a cinched waist. That being said, I have and wear both styles.
Me too.

Hmm. I like the paper bag short if it's old money aesthetic like brown, khaki, or white

Yes! ❤️❤️❤️ Glad you liked that!
It's too hot here in the South to wear socks in the summer! I'll wait till November 😅
🤣🤣🤣
Most dry cleaners have alterations dept, and can totally change a look with new hems, buttons, sleeve length etc.

I am all in for Bold Color Wednesday! Thank you, love you as always.
I really like the idea of setting a style goal for myself. Thanks!

Another great video for us Florida living ladies 😁 A hard no on the capris for me too. And I love the idea of having like a weekly color goal ❤️
Anna try the Vimhue ponytail hat. Sooo cute.
Great ideas in this video and I like how you say them with your personality.

I have been waiting since the 90s for capris to come back!! Although I was 30 years younger and 20lbs lighter the last time around 😂

Messy bun became popular with Bridget Bardot. And again with Pamela Anderson, who was channeling Bridget Bardo.
Your sock conversation was hilarious 😂
I've tried the one tuck a lot but each time it's lasted no more than a few seconds 😅 I just can't see it as anything but messy on me.
Dear everyone: get your socks out of my face 😂 ok thanks bye! ✌️

I’m not feeling the sock trend. I wear biker shorts in the summer time and the last thing I want is a tan line from my socks on my outdoor walks.
Sunblock

Didn't we wear socks over leggings in the 80s?
Yes!!! Along with leg warmers… Flash Dance 💃🏼
Speedo makes a decent "flare legging" yoga pant. Not thin.
So does Amazon
I can’t buy into the high sock either. it’s not flattering.

Capris that I have hit just under my knee- haven’t worn them for a few summers- but, one of these days…
I don't tuck at all. I don't have a waistline.
