My son had terrible eczema as a toddler- to the point where he'd wake up bleeding, from scratching in his sleep. We tried all the Rx ointments & even prednisone- no help. So I just started using Eucerin oil-based body wash on him, & then slathering him in raw, unrefined coconut oil, right after his bath, while his skin was still kind of damp. It worked within less than a week! 🎉
Wow that is a true testament! I need to ask my husband if we’ve tried that combo if not I’ll give it a shot thank you!
@ANNAREID29 Sure thing- I hope it works out! 🤞 I know how frustrating it can be, when your little one is suffering & you feel like there's not much you can do for them... 😟 Good luck!
Coconut oil sounds great, because young boys should not regularly get in contact with lavender containig oils, because lavender influences the hormon production.
Have you checked if your baby is sensible to gluten? Because eczema ( atopic dermatitis) is a common symptom of that sensitivity. If by any chance you get a positive result from your immune system, follow you doctors instructions ( if you have one with open to really understand the problem. If not change the doctor because it will be your sons company all his life and its extremely important to protect the small intestine first and by default the rest of the digestion system and ALL the organs and systems of the body. Once you control the “ invasion” of gluten into the body ( some are even sensible to physical contact with gluten) the manifeststions of the immunological reaction will get better. The person sensible to gluten could also become sensitive to other things too, thats why controlling exacerbation keeps the immune system working but not becoming “ paranoic” I would say. In my case now I react to soy too which I don’t mind because I do not consider it healthy for me but I wasnt sensible to it before. And, I have been not responding to the dentists anesthetic for many years and I developed that problem instantaneously, from one visit to the dentist to the other. Teeth are one of the areas where sensitivity could create a disaster thanks to the malabsorption of calcium. And there I was, for 25 years trying to fix disaster without anesthesia. I even had to extract a molar without any desensitization. I recovered the possibility to use anestheic again just a year ago. I also developed cataracts in a blink of an eye without having any previous problem with the eyes except being near sighted. That is why the immune system is sooo important, because it could affect all your body from head to toe and in and out. - if baby is not sensible to gluten, better, fantastic, I pray for that! It could then be a temporay reaction to something more simple that could go away by itself at a given time soon. But checking to be sure is not a bad idea to see what is really happening and take the appropriate measure depending on the case.
Blessing to your baby and best wishes to all the family.❤
Love how balanced you are about reviewing these products, saying you feel like they have worked for you but there could be other factors and not just the product. You have such a great down to earth approach to fashion and beauty!
really enjoy your videos, so helpful, even for me a woman so very close to 70 years! i still like to look stylish and on trend. thanks Anna
Glad you liked this on, Karen! ❤️❤️❤️
Oh my gosh, I am so happy I stumbled upon your videos when I was home recuperating from surgery recently. I love how authentic you are. It's like listening to a friend talk about the same issues we all have.
Aw well first I hope you are recovering ok! ❤️ and 2nd thank you for those kind words! ❤️❤️
Before even getting into the video let me just say that white top with green accents is soooo good on you!! And i say this especially because you are pulling it off with such a minimal hair + makeup look.
No idea what your season is but this colour combo definitely is it ❤
Very often eczema can be a reaction to cows' milk dairy. I know with kids it's hard to get them to try other things, but it might help. It did help me. :) Thanks for your awesome videos!
I always enjoy your videos!!! Thanks for the tips! My favorite was the thing inside the pointy shoes ❤
ALL great stuff today! Especially loved the belt hole puncher as just YESTERDAY I was needing one. Love the de-piller second, I think, then the sunglasses holders. That's genius! Thanks so much.
This video was excellent! Thank you for your hard work. I really appreciate it!
The hand bag was my fav solution ~ that bag is pretty darn cute !!
Such great tips and problem solvers! Thank you!!
That sunglasses holder is pretty fabulous ..so many great tips and tricks…❤ 🕶️
I'm in love with that - buying one today.
Yes genius! Glad you like this one! ❤️❤️❤️
Love the thrive roll on eyeshadow. I have several.
Wonderful problem solving ideas, thanks so much for posting.😊❤
Great tips! I really like the tucking one. The bulky fabrics can be difficult to work with. Thanks
Anna, I'm terrible at styling hair too and my solution is also a 3 barrel waiver. It works great and my husband always says "I like it when you wear your natural hair." 😂
😂
Love this!! 🤣🤣❤️❤️❤️
Really enjoyed this video. I bought the sunglasses holder…it’s brilliant, I hang it inside a cupboard door on a hook and then roll and take. It does literally change your life !
Great ideas in this video! Thank you, Anna!!
Omg I have the same problems with hats too! Sunglasses and eyeglasses are a struggle as well. Thank you for the recommendations 😊
Anna, I have terrible insomnia. If I can get to sleep, I am up 3 to 4 hours later, up for a few hours then finally fall asleep again an hour before I have to get up. It’s so frustrating and some days I just want to cry or at least call in to work so I can sleep. It’s 6 am right now and it’s Sunday. I’ve been up an hour.
Anyway, I have found the music here on UA-cam by Phi Tribe helps so much in not only getting to sleep but staying asleep longer. It’s crazy but it works for me. I like the ones with the binaural beats. I usually just play it on my iPad next to me, click the full screen (because it goes to black screen) and relax. I have headphones but I like sleeping on my side so I don’t use them a lot. There’s other sleep music content creators but Phi Tribe is the best, for me anyway. I don’t know them, have no affiliation with them etc., I just genuinely feel their music helps a lot.
You are so funny! I am a new subscriber and am binge watching! Haha thanks for making the info so relatable!
Thank you Anna. Great tips! I also have a very small head and trouble with hats. I found that a ‘youth’ sized ball cap fits me MUCH better than adult sizes. True also for some other hats like winter toques - which you may not be so concerned about. LOL.
Walmart's baseball hats are usually smaller too. I think the Time and True brand specifically. I have also found out that vintage hats tend to be made smaller
Interesting! I’ll check Walmart out!
I agree because I have a big head and they don't work for me.
Try the kids section for smaller caps - I got one cap from Gucci kids and one from Fendi kids as I have a smaller head as well. They fit perfectly - and had a much better price point than the adult version 😉
Love this video, very imformative, TY for posting!
Glad you liked this one! ❤️❤️
Thank you Anna, I learn a lot from you ❤
Loved this video! Think you should make it into a series on your channel
Small head problems for sure! The hats that fit me best are from Gap kids! They sell them in different sizes😊 great tips, Anna!❤
Great tips! Thank you.
I live the sunglasses holder. So clever.
So useful! ❤️❤️
Great tips! Loved all of this.
Glad it was helpful!❤️❤️
Buying that sweater comb immediately!!!
It’s oddly satisfying 😃❤️
Great video as always. Your hair looks really nice !
Thank you, Emily! ❤️❤️❤️
Love all your videos❤
I have no patience, and my hair curling isn't easy for me, so I'm definitely going to get myself one of those curling irons you showed, which reminds me of the crimping iron from the 80s and 90s, but better!!
Thank you… great, helpful video!
Love the bag
Happy to see your vid today!!! Thank you..🌹💖🥰
Hope you enjoyed it!❤️❤️
THANK YOU for the elastic belt hack for dealing with sweaters that are too long. I was just about to sell a bunch of Sezane sweaters that are too long and too thick for me. (I'm petite AND short-waisted.) I bought one in every colour. They work!
I just want you to know that I really appreciate your videos. I just recently started watching you and I have watched many “influencers“ and I find quite a few of them that seem to come across as snobby and fake and very sales pitchy, if that’s really a word, lol! But you come across as very sincere And more like a friend, without doing all the exaggerated hand, motions, and using all the vernacular like every other wannabe Barbie doll.
Thank you! I’m glad you are here! ❤️❤️❤️
Great video, very informative. I am ordering 4 of the things you suggested.
Yay glad this was helpful!
Hi Anna. I’ve been a fan of yours for years! Love all your videos. Thank you. Can you share a link to the white pants you wear when you show how to tuck the sweater under with the elastic belt? Definitely buying the belts, but would love to find those white pants. They look amazing on you! 😊❤
I love your video Especially body oil. I have some scar in my body that need to be faded. So thank you. I will buy and try.
Such a genius video, thank you for sharing this 🙂
Another great video, Anna, with lots of useful information. I think your hair looks great! I will be looking into the magnesium cream. I can definitely vouch for the belt hole punch. I bought one with some hesitation, thinking it would require a lot of force to punch through leather, and I don't have a lot of grip strength. It was surprisingly easy though - almost as easy as using a paper hole punch!
Yes! 🙌 I know… it took me sooo long to buy one and now I don’t know why I was so hesitant 🤷♀️ 🤣
Vani Cream is my go-to for Eczema! Great video :)
Haha...loved your video!❤ have same problems...especially with a baseball hat 🧢 😅 thank you for suggestions!!! Will definitely give it a try! Scar oil as well ;)
I have that exact leather punch. It is very strudy and works great!
Such a useful tool! ❤️❤️❤️
Didn’t solve any of my particular issues, but you’re so sweet for creating this without being pushy or profiting!!!❤
Loved it! Lots of my problems soon to be solved!
🙌🙌🙌
I'd like to share A word of warning regarding those battery devices for removing the pills or little balls that develop on knitwear and why you should use them with caution if at all. Those battery operated devices have fast moving tiny blades that cut the pills and fluff as you move the device over your knitwear, and while they do have a protective mesh-like cover, it is flexible meaning a bit too much pressure or a snag could result in cutting and creating a hole in the knitwear. This has happened a few times to me personally and as someone who owns many cashmere sweaters and am somewhat of an expert on how to care for them, I did use the tool carefully. After a few costly professional repairs, I switched to a comb item much like the one you show, where the fluff is brushed off and I can use it without worry of damaging my knitwear. It's also travel friendly so you can tuck it into your bag and easily de-pill on the go. (I despise the pills that occur especially where your crossbody bag rubs or even on the sleeves) . I'd also like to share an excellent de-pilling gadget I discovered after reading that it was included in the goodie bag for the Oscars a few years ago, I decided to give it a try. It's called the Gleaner, and it works so well that I have given them as gifts. It's like one of those things you never knew you needed until you had one and they are always appreciated. It even comes with a few interchangeable heads/combs for different types of knits ranging from finer threads to more chunkier ones. I would rather use a device that 'pulls' the built up fluff away instead of a device that 'cuts' it to remove it.
Thank you!
Glad youre out of pain
I just got that wave thing. It’s so easy!
So much easier than the original way! 😃🙌
Hey Anna! Thanks for the awesome review! Could you tell me what jeans and striped shirt you were wearing at the end of the video (with the leather purse)? Cheers!
Loved the tips! I’m trying to find the elastic bands to put on your arms to scrunch blazers/sweaters
I just use hair ties!
Great video! Thanks!
You are so welcome! ❤️❤️
Thank you for your promo code on the bag! Amazing !
Love Songmont! ❤️
Try child size caps and hats. I have a really small head too. Regular sized hard fall down on my ears and eyebrows.
I use the hole punch thing to shorten purse straps. Cross body bags hit me too low because I am short.
You are so cute and so funny and have such terrifically useful /informational videos!
Thank you, Patricia! ❤️❤️❤️
Hey there! Where do you apply the magnesium cream to help you sleep?
Thanks for all the tips. I did purchase the pointed toe inserts after viewing a previous video when I purchased a pair of silver sling back pointed toe , kitten heel shoes. The inserts worked as promised. I enjoy your channel very much.
Yay glad you liked those! ❤️❤️❤️
Did you have to purchase shoes a half size larger since foot now not going more towards the front of shoe?
I am still watching, but i travel with work and wear different reading glasses depending on the outfit and how I read the room! Lol! Immediately ordered the glasses case!
You seem very relatable and friendly...greetings from germany :)
Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
I hate wearing ball caps too but you look good in them. I think the white one had a bigger brim then the black on did. So look for ball caps with smaller brims.
Your Fiddle-Leaf Fig tree is thriving! This is a good reminder to go water mine 😂
Thank you!! It lets me know when it’s need a more water… the leaves get so sad and droopy! 🤣🤣
Ms Anna!
How...did you come up with such...a FANTASTIC idea for a fashion 9-1-1 video like this one??? !!!
Oh la la...this is simply so helpful!
The sunglasses case...ohhhh....you may even hang it open (at home) for taking the sunglasses to go!
Extraordinary!!!
Well ...(laughter)...ask Dr. Mindy Pelz about sleep...hormones are the culprits! (I have no commission, don't worry,
ah ah ah) but I discovered her, and was life changing! That is why I share it with you as ...you are so wonderful sharing your discoveries with us!
Thank you so much; I am so grateful!
helene :)
Great video 😅😅
If you don't want to spend money, you could also use a belt to tuck in your sweater 😉 I've done that many times and I think it works well 😉 Love these videos ❤️
I need that belt hole maker! I usually make a new hole using an ice pick and a hammer 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have a small head too!! Hats rarely look good on me! My ears always poke out!
We need to start a club! There are a lot of us! 🙌😃
I have the opposite problem, finding a hat large enough to fit my size 7¼ head. Ball caps aren't usually a problem since they are adjustable in size and hide my TALL forehead. I've got a guy's sized head. 😂
Ana, please try Magnesium Glycinate (supports sleep, calmness, digestion and cardiovascular health). Love the idea of the magnesium cream for my daughter who doesn't like to take pills. I agree, ALO is perfect for those of us with small heads! My weight is always fluctuating, that hole punch will save me lots of time, money and frustration! Thanks for the great ideas!
Glad it was helpful! ❤️❤️❤️
Helpful video. More like this please.
It’s called a fabric (or leather) hole punch. Great tool.
What is the name of the house cleaning service you recommend?
Calm cream probably contains lavender essential oil, it relaxes and helps sleeping
Baseball cap rec: many NFL/MLB, etc carry "ladies fit" caps, (smaller bill, smaller fit than reg) and can work well. Maybe give it a whirl if you have a fave team?
I bought the band and I’ve worn it every single day
I prefer a battery operated sweater shaver. Less chance of cutting your sweater with no pulling on the fabric.
How did you know I needed a multiple sunglass holder! Perfect. I was hoping for a way to hide crotch details in leggings as well. Any ideas on that would be welcome. Great video, Thank You!
Those stretchy elastic belts are fantastic, tuck stays exactly where you want it all day. Also if you pop one around the top of leggings, jeans etc, you won’t have to do that very undignified grab and tug to get migrating pants back into place😳!
I have a small head too. It's annoying. I can't wear most hats. I bought a cute cloche - no dice. I do look good in b-ball caps and newsboy caps though. No idea why! Maybe do an episode on hats!
Thank you for the hat recommendation
I have a tiny head too
Beattie juice
Hi Anna My hair is about the same length as yours. To reduce damage I don’t wear a band I just push my hair through the opening at the back. It holds the hair off my neck to stay cool and when I take my hat off I don’t have a band mark on my hair (which means less straightening for me)
That’s a great idea! ❤️❤️
⚡️Omg! It’s a “Rolly-Kit” for sunglasses! 😎 😅😉
Yes!! 🤣🤣🙌🙌🙌
Such a great video, Anna! Nice to know I’m not alone with some of these struggles. Definitely going to look at the eyeglass holder and more.👍🙏🏼🤎
Glad you liked this one! ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Anna... Great hacks. I usually fold my sweater over because I dont think a heavier sweater looks good tucked in either. I will have to get that belt thing. You and your husband looked so nice in that pic. That is interesting about the magnesium cream. I take the magnesium glycinate vitamin pillsto sleep..others without the glycinate dont help. I am so glad you found something for your little one's excema. I have not worn heels for years...might have to try your hack. People tell me I look good in caps but I have the opposite problem..a big head😮😮😂. Adidis and a few brands fit me or a man's. You look cute in the one that fit. You were talking about castor oil. I bought the Jamaiican black oil. Even an eye doctor could not tell me why my eyes were getting gunked up at night so bad that I had a hard time opening my eyes the last three months. I used it faithfully and in three weeks it stopped and my eyelashes are thicker. I tinted my eyelashes and eyebrows, because it not help grow my brows back to my full ones of the past or make them darker. Now with the tint and thicker tinted lashes I look better in the mornings or nights I dont have mascara on. Great seeing you Anna❤❤❤ Have a great weekend
I am about to try the castor oil on my lashes I’m looking forward to some results! 3 weeks sounds amazing!
My head is small too. I have trouble with hats. My sister used to call me pea-head. 😂
Lol. I also have a small head. I get it!!
Get a beach waver curling iron, it'll curl for you.
You look cute in both hats. 😄🥰
I use a hole puncher
Based on the idea that the best way to create routines is to reduce friction/ reduce obstacles between you and the habit you want to achieve, I feel like the sunglasses holder would be problematic. The holder is neat to look at, however you would have to unsnap it to open it up and spread it out each time you need to retrieve your sunglasses. The minor extra step would be enough for me to just use whatever glasses were already out. I keep my sunglasses on a tray. The tray provides the glasses a home plus I can view and access the glasses with ease / no barriers, no friction.
I use a magnesium lotion I got on Amazon for RLS. If I put it on my leg and wear compression sleeves, it goes away.
Have you tried fixing the eczema with food elimination? Dairy? Gluten? That fixed it for my son immediately.
We rarely eat dairy but I didn’t think about gluten! Thank you!
I have the opposite head size problem .. my head is too big for most hats!! I have to order custom size baseball hats
My daughter had a rod in her leg and after 1 year the surgeons removed it. Do they not do that in the U.S.?
My daughter had eczema when she was little. All the OTC stuff never worked. I used Neem Tree Oil and it cleared right up. Thank heaven for natural products.
Right?! Im always for the natural route before chemicals 🙌❤️❤️
Anna, watch your video. The other baseball caps have visors that are too wide for your face. The one you like has a much narrower visor. You can reshape the visor on any baseball cap. Guys do it all the time. Try it on the ones you have that don’t flatter your more narrow face shape.
PS. I use castor oil on my face without a carrier oil. I pat it on well before bedtime…….it sinks in after a while 😉 and won’t feel sticky at all. It also sinks in better immediately after a hot shower when your pores are open.
Is your bag the small, medium or large? Does it have any interior pockets? Thanks
It’s the medium and it has one little pocket ❤️
