- Lure fishing a Lake District jetty for big perch and even a surprise pike! Just couldn't stop catching them on the micro jigs and the fish just kept getting bigger. Thanks to Harry from bangaveragetravel & fishing for taking me there, you can find his channel here: / bangaveragetravelfishing
I'm sure if you message him he will be happy to help get you on some perch
I honestly can't recommend the micro boi lure enough. It's from Lureboi and attached is a link. You can get 10% off with code AFUK10: lureboi.co.uk/collections/bai...
I was fishing using the rigged and ready fish rig 180 ultra lite semi telescopic travel rod, you can also get 10% off these with code AFUK10: riggedandready.net

Thanks mate! Just seen you've been subscribed to the channel for over a year. Thanks a lot for sticking around I really appreciate it! 🎣
Gorgeous fish. Gotta love some perch fishing. On ultra light equipment it's almost as fun as pike for me, more action!
Couldn’t agree more, I think I prefer it because of how action packed it can be on the right day!
Awesome sport, fast and furious!
Good combination, yourself and "Harry the worm", myself and Richard Cottle will be trying a few of your haunts this autumn! 😊
Haha Harry the worm might have to steal that one off you he does like his worms. You’ll have to let me know how you get on!
Love it mate becoming my favourite channels you and Harry
Thanks mate that means a lot! Really putting a lot of effort into it lately
Looks like a great spot. Need to try Windermere next time I’m up in the Lakes.

Well done buddy. Lurve them stripeys 🥰👍🏽🎣😀
Thanks mate, me too! Starting to really enjoy the perch fishing at the moment
Good video mate I keep saying I'm going to give Windermere ago 1 day. I"m going to get my self 1 of them rigged and ready rods I don't drive so there will be ideal for buses and trains.
Thanks man! Yeah you should definitely get a rigged and ready rod in that case. No better rod for travelling that’s for sure, if you do make sure you use AFUK10 on the website to get 10% off 👍
Great fishing mate!
Thanks mate!

Thanks mate! Congratulations on hitting the 2500 subscribers milestone too by the way 👍
@@adventurefishinguk hey Cheers George, just sent you a message too on IG lol 😃
Great video mate! Just got a caravan on the shores of Windermere with 3 big jetty’s! Defo gonna have a go for the perch there! Given me some great motivation
Thanks mate! Are those jetties part of the caravan site?
@@adventurefishinguk yeah they are
@@JoshLowe1995 bet there will be some good perch off there mate! Let me know how you get on in summer 👍
My best pike came from lake Windermere 26LB 40Z never forget it on a mini popper,Dellboy
Wow, bet that was a gorgeous fish. I’d love to get a 20 plus one day, thanks for the comment!
Great content ! I am off to bowness on windermere today. Im taking my light and medium setup. Any tips on any spots to try out. Im only there a couple of days. 👍
Thanks mate! All the jetties are good, it's not quite the time of year to have some good perch fishing on the big lakes but you should be able to find a few!
@@adventurefishinguk cheers mate , ill have ago for some pike too 👍
Hi mate can you tell me what are the best micro lures for Windermere please great videos Dave
Any tiny microjigs on small jig heads work really well 👍
Hello George I`ve become an avid watcher of your channel and I`m shortly visiting Ambleside, after stocking up on lures jigs and spinners i wondered if you give me a heads up on the best area around Lake Windermere to catch trout /perch within walkable distance from Ambleside as I don`t drive and do you think the Rothay there is worth a try , attempting to get back into fishing having not caught a trout for over 30 years due to kids , family and work . so I`m blaming you haha
Thanks Neil, i really appreciate you watching! You'll do well for perch along all the jetties near where you're visiting, particularly when its quieter in the evening. Trout are quite hard to come by on windermere these days, but the Rothay is definitely worth a go
How do you get to this spot because I want to try get big perch and love your videos and come to Carlisle one day and come in hammonds pond there is all sorts of species there is pike, perch,Rudd, roach, carp, bream, eels, tench.
Sorry mate it's not my spot to share! Was told about it by a friend and said i would keep it on the down low. Plenty of good perch spots on windemrere though theres loads of jetties all are good
Hi guys where is the pier you are fishing off? Am currently staying in ambulside and not having much luck with the fishing?
Use google maps mate thats the best way to find good spots around where you're staying!
Very good day lads 👍
Thanks mate!
Great video.. which side of the lake is that jetty on lads? I am up there this weekend with the dog camping.. .👍
Send me a message on instagram mate @georgelambfishing
Another cracking video mate 👍🏻🎣 is it free fishing on Windermere?
Thanks Michael! Yeah as long as you have your license you’re free to fish 👍
Will be visiting from Canada next year. How's the fishing mid-July?
Depends on the species. Fishing is good for everything apart from Pike around that time!
@@adventurefishinguk it's ok, wanting to catch species not locally available in Canada, so pike will be the last thing on my mind
Nice👍🏿
Thanks mate!
Great video as usual. What tickets, & how much are they, do you need to fish the lakes?
Thanks Colin! Windermere is free as long as you have a standard EA freshwater license 👍 the rules vary lake by lake
@@adventurefishinguk Thanks. Taking my rods with me next we go up to the lakes.
@@colingoode3702 good luck!
Great video! Very entertaining. Quick question, can you get away with driving to the mark? It's a fair trek from the car park. Reckon I'd have more luck with pike here this week?
Thanks mate! I wouldn't drive, the gates can be locked. Any luck?
Two days of blanks! 😭 It was exceptionally cold though. And a bit too windy for the fly rod. And that ferry makes standing on that jetty really interesting when the wake hits! 😂
Hi, been watching for a little while, loving the content. By any chance you could tell me where abouts this is on Windermere? I’ve been scouting Google maps trying to find a spot.
Thanks mate! Unfortunately this spot was told to me by a friend so I can’t say exactly where it is. On the west shoreline though there’s a hint 😂 stick at Google maps and get out exploring you’ll find plenty of good places on the lake. Getting out there fishing is your best bet for finding good marks! Hope this helps
@@adventurefishinguk it’s fine bud, I went today and found the spot (after paying twice for parking haha) had nothing, seemed pretty dead. Going to wait until the spring to head back down. Also on the way out from “the spot” I hit a pot hole and then spent half an hour trying to replace the tyre 😂. Today was not a good day
Are you going to try for a Windermere Char one day? I've heard they are a bit of a rarity...
They are, hopefully when I'm out on the boat I'll have a chance
What gram and size jighead u using with them 40mm soft plastics ?
2gram size 8 hooks from lure boi 👍
@@adventurefishinguk cheers mate
I caught a 7lb Pike on my light set up when I was reeling in a Perch! 2 for the price of 1! 😂
Did it attack the perch? I’ve never had that happen to me, hopefully one day!
@@adventurefishinguk yes it did. I don’t know if the Perch got away or it ate it! 😂
Is that someone's private jetty I've been told no fishing off public jettys
You can’t fish off public jetty’s that are in continuous use I don’t think but if there’s nothing going on you should be alright! The ones you aren’t allowed to fish off usually have signs saying so
Hello I am a am a new subscriber and I have been fishing on Windermere where you were but I haven’t had anything so please please can I have some tips for fishing and the best fishing lures. Where you were if you head to the car ferry where you were there is some good fishing spots near my caravan site my friend court a massive pike there and loads of other fish
Thank U
Have a look at Lure boi on instagram he does some great stuff for perch, specifically his micro jigs in white. This venue can be really tough going it's not unusual to blank. Sounds like that caravan site is a good a place as any! Thanks for subscribing I appreciate it 👍
Thank u very much I really appreciate it. Please can I do some more fishing on Windermere
@@claiffeonyoutube9653 I’ll be doing more this summer for sure
Can you keep fish in the lakes?
It depends where and when legally, but ethically in many cases I’d say no 👍 stocked lakes you can
Perch are probably one of my favourite fish but there is no perch fishing near me , great vid man !
??? There’s perch everywhere in Europe mush
@@UKFishingFinesse yeah true , there are a few places kinda close to me that I know of but no big perch and kinda slow fishing
@@ZachRussell.W go to any river mate, just not atall easy to find the old brutes
No canals near you? Glad you enjoyed the video!
@@UKFishingFinesse the nearest place to me that I can lure fish for perch Is about 25miles away
Hi there. I’m at Windermere at the moment. I’m at White Cross Holiday Park, I’ve tried to fish but all the jetties have locked gates and when I try cast out it’s all rocks. Any ideas on where I can try?
Hi Gareth, not sure what to suggest if the jetties are locked! It's a bit early in the year for perch fishing on the big deep lakes still. Rocky ground tends to be good for fish, maybe try some streams flowing in or out and maybe focus on the deeper waters
I’m early
Thanks for the comment mate!
