Catching HUGE pike in the Lake District! (this was insane)

Winter can be a harsh time of year to be out on the bank! The days are short, the temperatures are cold and the motivation to get out on the bank is at an all time low! Despite this, fishing at the correct venues can result in some memorable sessions!
At the start of 2022, I visited three contrasting venues to get a bend in the rod and keep the action coming. It wasn't easy but it was all worth it in the end when my mate caught something which we weren't expecting!

I remember fishing once with a much younger fin' catching his first pike from another one of the big lakes up here . A 10lb plus and a smaller one if I recall and you even managed to avoid the teeth ! 👍
