- Pomegranates are in season here and they are both delicious and very nutritious so I brought some to the hut to make a tasty fresh squeezed pomegranate juice the primitive way.

Weeeellll, this is my primitive life experiment. This is what life could be for those who design it this way. It's crazy how you make these incredible video's and still find the time to reply to almost everyone in the comments that asks you a question. not only that but you talk to people as equal, a lot of big youtubers think they are better then people or they don't even bother to respond to any of the people that are subbed to their channel. mad respect an props for that chad, I'll more then likely never stop watching your journey that you take us on. I'm going into rehab tmw for my addiction and you honestly have really helped me in a big way. Living so naturally. No crutches to lean on. Very cool, somehow I feel like I was there with you. I recognize the obsidian. You will find that if you get a hammer stone of granite you will have a more predictable break in the obsidian. When you were striking the obsidian with obsidian either stone could have fractured. Love your creativity my friend. I absolutely enjoy pomegranate. I have wondered weather I can get them to grow up here. I would like to incorporate them in my food forest. Take care brother.
Great, thanks for the tip. Using obsidian is a whole new experience for me... I doubt pomegranates will grow up there but I may be wrong. I haven't studied them thoroughly.

Cold Hardy Russian Red Pomegranate is one of my first plants going in on my property, when I can be there enough time to make sure they thrive.... I already drink pomegranate juice as a small addition staple in my diet. (water, fresh lemon juice, and 1 oz pom juice being my go to leave home hydration mix) Fresh is best though and that will take some time.

if you look from the top of a pomegranate, it has subtle ridges going down. always cut there for ease and to prevent fruit loss.

No, not really, Wild Pomegranate is usually smaller, but not substantially.
