This is perfect. I’m 16 and since I was 12 I’ve been so into survival for any situation. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. So calm and I really learn a thing or two. 😄
This is what I have been looking for! Real life survival. Instead of guys doing their survival stories the easy way!!! You’re fantastic!!! Nothing fancy, and everything earned!!! Thank you!
Man goes out for an exercise. Makes shelter, fire, tools, water facility, food processing station, domesticates fowl, brings smoked fish home for family and friends. All without a match or pocketknife. Toothbrush and glasses and an amazing disposition. Legend.
Wilson, the ultimate camping companion! He's got the skills to steal your fish and protect your food, all while staying out of the meal menu. Who needs merch when you've got a legendary buddy like him by your side?
Maaaan, this guy is just legit. Never have i watched a man eat a fish and had a huge smile on my face. He REALLY enjoyed that flounder lol. And the fact he befriended a bird and fed him too and the bird hung around his camp is just brilliant.
Man, i don't know what it is but although i'm living in Ankara a big capital with 6+million people and in a concrete forrest. You made me appreciate life more and find joy from small things. It really is soothing watching your videos. Thank you for all.
Respect. You definitely don't make it easy on yourself. I don't think anyone would begrudge you a pocket knife, which would be a game changer for you. I've done some long minimal-kit trips before and the work never stops. I couldn't help but smile watching you chew down on that flounder - hunger definitely is the best sauce. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoy your channel - thanks for taking us along for the adventure 👍
Cool video Clay. I love that shit! Thanks for the tip! I thought flounder were only around in the warmer months. I'm on the Coromandel peninsula so it's a bit warmer than where you are. I'm going to go have another look, but I'm going to try it your way with a fire torch. But instead of walking, I'm going to do it on a SUP, and my spear will be my paddle.
This is 'real' survival. No fancy tools . no flint .. No packed snacks. Didn't even see a knife!?.. Nada. Great stuff. The fire that was started with the lens of the glasses was neat-o. Well done -
Looks like Wilson was doing some ramraids on your food there 😂... Seriously though, these survival videos are an absolute treat to watch as I'm sitting here by the fireplace with my feet up. Keep them coming!
I actually learnt something from you today. Especially about flaming the fire part with your fingers, that’s brilliant. I like these vids, very educational. Keep it up, Koro 😉
As a recovering alcoholic, your videos give me so hope that I can be so much more than from whence I came. I truly do appreciate you as a human being for being true to whom you are. Much love my brother
The production quality, the knowledge, and the radiant personality. It’s amazing how you’re doing this at your age. The world really missed out on the younger version
For all that you have been through, mate you are a fit healthy bastard out there doing it! Just an awesome inspiration for all. Thanks for sharing yet another banger. Great info tips n tricks. N thats 1 lucky Wilson..

You are an inspiration bud, I know it wouldn’t be a party/ glamming but that is what makes it so interesting and challenging….life skills, humbling! Good job!
I give my Patrons on Patreon first hand lessons on bushcraft and hunting. You are right, though. It is downright uncomfortable and means living hard to do these challenges. The camera and editing cut out many of the logistical nightmares and the heath and safety issues that you invariably encounter.

Awesome video Clay, there's no substitute for experience as you know. I have to say though mate, Wilson was the star of the show, he was almost tame enough for a snuggle up with you in your nest by the time you left. Keep on doing what you're doing bud, it's inspirational for us fellow oldies, and 60 is the new 40 👍🏻
Hello I enjoyed your informative video and found it fascinating! I live in Vermont on a secluded mountain top. I’m 75 years young and unlikely that I’ll find myself actually practicing what you preach. Maybe in the next lifetime. Meantime, I’ll just tag along. Scottie
I remember making spears and fishing for flounder on Great barrier Island with my mates when I was in my early 20s. We didn't get back to camp till it was about 11pm. We were cold and hungry, and just couldnt wait till the morning for a cook up. So I totally get the way your savoured that fish. They are oily, buttery and delicious. We are lucky in Aotearoa.
