I would treat that soap like a family heirloom. So much work just for soap. I bet that soap works better than anything on the market. Thank you for keeping the old traditions alive.
This is the side of China i love and respect. Rural life is the best life, even here in the US. Something about taking your time to do what you must. Making it a meditative experience. Taking joy in your work. Too many in our cities here take everything for granted. They love this too, but never actually go do it. I can't imagine why.
I like it that the video does not only cover how you make the products, but also your interactions with the nature and your dogs 🐕 from time to time. Your channel really has great potential, and I’d love to see more from you
That was one of the most beautiful videos I’ve ever watched on UA-cam. Absolutely mind blowing skills…honed to perfection. That soap 🧼 would be absolutely priceless if it was in the marketplace.
Such a beautiful video. It brought back childhood memories when my mother showed me how she too made soap out of lard. That stuff would clean like no other. Again thank you.
Good morning. I did vegetal soap for plenty years. I can pass you some information. Ashes burnt only have potassium, calcium, carbonate, sulphate and phosphate. All alkaloids are burnt. Must be white ash to improve the alkalinity if you do enough soap. Hydration of ashes delay overnight then is drop by drop best result. A leaching process can be done with a ceramic bottle with the bottom broken and inverted. At the end you can use rice fiber that you use for paper as fiber. This is in the tip of the bottle. You drop the ash and some water and then leave overnight. Then add more rain water. A densimeter is used to control the end of leaching process. When get lower water should be stopped. Next set will use the previous cup of water.
There are coconut oil soaps available, but I'm not sure if it is the replacement ingredient or an additional superfat in the soap. I don't make cold process soaps (as this is called) myself, but there are many youtubers who do. It might be worth checking them out for your answer.
I wonder if you could use mugwort (which has natural saponins in it) to do the same process, this is one of the very few videos I've seen where the ashes are not tree wood based. Might try and see if it works, just as a fun experiment! Loved the video, thank you so much for sharing!!
Potassium in wood ash is about 10 per cent so if for a kilogram of oil is used about 250 grams of potassium hydroxide is necessary at least 3 kilograms of ash. And if about 7 kilograms of wood produce 1 kilogram of ash are necessary burn about 25 kilograms of wood to have 3 kilograms of white ash for a kilogram of oil.
Quite a Chemistry lesson! ❤ We still make our own soap in a few places in Spain (see Eugenio Monesma's videos) but it does not look as exotic and cute and "green" as yours. 😂
Hydrated lime to produce potassium hydroxide is quite insoluble so is needed in excess and shake. Quantity depends on quality of leaching and wood used. Are wood (hard woods usually) that only have 3 per cent of potassium which gets trapped in phosphate and sulphates and will not be available. Lime can be burnt back. Dry of hydroxide solution must be dry up in a closed pot. Easily trap air CO2 and water.
Hello, I have been a fan since I saw your amazing works. I just want to ask if you have an Official Facebook Page because I have been seeing your videos there too. I just want to make sure that it is an official account or not. Thank you and bless you.
This guy does a lot of complicated things. The Russians have a great proverb about this: " The man who chases many rabbits goes hungry. The man who chases 1 has his dinner."
I would treat that soap like a family heirloom. So much work just for soap. I bet that soap works better than anything on the market. Thank you for keeping the old traditions alive.
The fact it took a whole month to make it plus the extra 40 days. I’d cherish forever. Great video
Thank you very much!

How interesting🤔 !! This soap you made for only your household? So nice. 🙏.
Question: could you also use could, such as putting it on a freezer, instead of the 40 days? Or would that ruin it?
Great video, i love it!
I really must say you have a very very beautiful house ❤

Me encanta :3

Simply amazing. Wondering if coconut oil could be used to replace the animal fat

Your videos are great, but I wish they were filmed horizontally. I'm guessing they are filmed the way they are for tik tok/shorts.
These videos are wonderful! I wish I could translate the subtitles
