I totally agree as once the game gets released I reckon there will be consequences for lying in the game. Yet we aren’t given any other option but to lie in order to enter the hotel. That reminds me of Far Cry 5 where the game did something similar to what you mentioned. You could end the game within a few minutes of starting the game if you shoot the leader at the beginning.

So it doesn’t Instakill or change any dialogue no matter how many times you select “puppet”. Thanks again for watching!!
I’ve read that If you don’t select anything it will just go through the same dialogue as if you chose that you were a puppet. But I’ll have to test this and confirm it. Once I do I’ll let you know. Thanks Daniel!!

The video confirms what I originally mentioned which was that it just uses the same dialogue as if you selected puppet. Hope the video answers your question. I’m only around two-thirds through the first play through. But you make a really good point. I’ll definitely be trying that once I get to NG+. Hopefully something will happen.
