There is a very old railroad bridge between Louisville Ky and Indiana. It sat unused, rusting away, until they made a pedestrian walkway bridge out of it. Now it gets used.

My son and I took a nice road trip from NC to Toronto via Detroit in June 2023. We saw the spray from the falls from up in the CN Tower it was incredible! We stayed in Grimsby and when we realized how close we were we took QEW to Niagara Falls, about a 30 minute trip. The falls were beautiful, we walked the Rainbow Bridge to the US side, then we walked back, got in the car and bounced down across the Peace Bridge to the Buffalo Naval Park. I love that area, both sides of the border. No trouble crossing back and forth, and we were in a rental car at that…because the torque converter in my Silverado decided to grenade itself in Ohio on the way up!
Ontario is not what it used to be (I live there), but glad you enjoyed the scenery!
I did enjoy it. The Niagara Escarpment is fascinating to me. It’s a nice place to visit, but I’m sure if I lived there I’d tire of it (particularly the traffic around Toronto) rather quickly.

My neighbors Tesla was only 2 years old last winter the batteries froze the insurance company totaled it.
Froze? I thought that only an engine with a crankshaft could seize up? Better-off frozen then melted. Was it being charged outside in a place like Manitoba?

@@dingleberryxo7623 His Honesty and Analytical methods describing System Homeostasis i.e. your car fuel economy is dropping, but doesn't throw a diagnostic code..check the air pressure in the tires. Also, his ability to diagnose a problem through Experience without Preconceived notions and IMPORTANTLY his ability to discern when someone is selling you something! Medicine and science work toward PROVING THINGS WRONG! I will leave the rest to Scotty, RESPECT!

Newport, RI? HQ for our naval squadron back in the day. It’s a cold and lonely place if you are a sailor. Keep up the good work Scotty. Your videos have helped me out immensely. I bought a used Acura RDX 3 years ago. Not a single problem so far. They take off like bats out of hell, so must be careful when making a turn.

In 'circa 1969-70, I was stationed at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. My wife and I decided on a road trip to Niagara Falls and had a "disagreement" on routing and didn't get there. Such a waste of time, getting into that kind of situation and missing the adventure.

AGM batteries are conventional lead acid batteries with fiberglass mats between the metal plates. The mats provide physical support for the plates so the battery is more durable. There is no fluid level, the mats act like sponges, an AGM can be installed in any position you like... it's sealed. Your FVP battery was imported from somewhere unknown, so no telling what you got, but the AGM batteries made in the US by Penn Battery are excellent. Look for the factory name in the battery specs. Their house brand is DEKA, but they are sold as the top line battery at places like Napa, Autozone, Batteries Plus, even walmart under a variety of names. Often they have a seven year warranty but last far longer.
I see Honda uses AGM batteries on the 2020 Ridgeline black edition don't know about the other's. Absolutely Great batteries, Expensive yes, It has it's own cooling fan and box it's sitting in.

I live in the Buffalo metro area and frequently travel under all those bridges and can confirm that they are all still in use and used regularly and they are fully functional. Seeing them lift and rotate is really very interesting and I don’t know how many of their types and vintage are still used elsewhere on a completely regular basis, but it’s very cool to see them performing all their mechanical functions here in Buffalo. They built them to last and they built them to work!

I was at Niagara Falls in 1999 on the Ontario side. Beautiful but sad that they have stupid people in leadership.
My friend had a couple of hand power tools with the batteries. One day he sees his barn up on fire. The large barn burned to the ground. The FIRE MARSHAL determined the cause of the fire was from the BATTERY PACKS!!
I've had two dewalt 20 volt batteries catch on fire while on the charger.
That "old bridge" in Buffalo is actually still in use. It's the international railroad bridge to Canada. The part you drove under is the part over the canal. It moves for ships coming through the lock. The bridge crosses the Niagara River connecting Canada and the USA. Sometimes illegals hitch a freight train and some have died that way. It is very "old", first built in the 1800's I believe. So you were right about the "old" part. Great to see you come through your old stomping grounds here in WNY!

I just saw one the other day in a farming community in Ontario, Canada! Nice looking, but unfortunately it's electric.
My aunt and uncle used to live on the Canadian side of Ontario On The Lake. Got to see both the U.S. and the Canadian sides of Niagara Falls. Definitely worth the trip! Have a safe and enjoyable trip, Scotty!

I just installed a fuel pump on my Grand Marquis with the tank in the car, and it took me all day just to figure out how to disconnect the wiring harness. It was hidden way up above the tank, and it was a b*tch to get out.

I was on that SAME freeway towards Buffalo back in '85 coming back to Michigan from the Navy with Mom and Sis in the car. Sadly, I was promptly pulled over and ticketed for like 12 to 15 over. I was in a hurry to get home, but the cop wasn't buying my story.

was just in Niagara Falls a month and a half ago - park is great, hiking is great, we did notice a lot of abandoned places, kind of 'sad' went to some nice restaurants and bakeries, stood in exactly same spot as yourself, cool!

I just watched a video of Tesla trucks “not”. Not being able to get out of a not very deep creek with sloped sandy banks. Not get being able to get out of the sand at the beach. Not being able to get out of a muddy dirt road. I assume their much heavier weight makes them sink too much. Two normal trucks pulled two of them out. People recording the one that could get out of the water were still cheering the driver on when their clip ended. It could go back and forth in the creek, just couldn’t go forward or backward up the banks.
The cyber truck looks like something my Son drew when he was in the first grade.

My car broke down on Route 95 in Rhode Island the other week and I was there for 7 hours (left phone at home and police don't patrol 95). In any case, I counted 9 Tesla. Unfortunately, this resulted in a "police tow" which cost me $350.00 in total. Tow company was closed week ends and I couldn't redeem until Tuesday. For fun, look up the amounts of contributions to the Providence Mayor from the towing companies. How does a towing company that is closed on weekends even get on the police list? Welcome to Rhode Island, not so long ago it had stores that specialized in stolen goods. My father used to insist the state motto is "Everything falls of the truck in Rhode Island".

Went on a Toyota lot yesterday here in CA. Tons of hybrid. The new Corolla Cross has hybrid too. The all electric that competes with the Tesla which looks a lot like it was $55,000 I don’t remember the name. I feel they look like Legos. Just snap off a fender there and put on another there lol
