I feel like people who haven’t had to lose a significant amount of weight should just be quiet. Losing weight is extremely hard, especially when you have underlining health conditions like insulin resistance. I loss 63 lbs all on my own through intermittent fasting, exercise and calorie restriction. And then, I hit a plateau. Even though I make an effort to walk at least 8k steps or more a day, I still struggle with feeling hungry and cravings. If this medication will help me or other people reach their health goals, why should it matter to YOU?
Hear, hear!!!!!! Weight loss is not always as simple as watching what you eat and exercising. Many of us need that extra help, just as some choose gastric bypass/sleeve surgery.
I’ve just paid $550 for four shots 28 day supply that’s with the manufacturers coupon. I have Blue Cross and Blue Shield however my company will not support any weight loss medication.
@@anitabrianebert7813 I have Capital Blue cross and just got approved. BUT, I had to win an appeal with a 3rd party arbiter first. They would approve Wegovy though, which is more expensive and doesn't get the results and gave me very bad side effects though...
I was prescribed Zepbound and purchased it before doing any research. I've decided to lose weight through intermittent fasting. Unfortunately I cannot return it. Currently on Zepbound 7.5. No pain, but I’m gassy and sulphuric burps that have to smell like brimstone. Hellish. I’ve cleared a room a few weeks ago. I feel the zepbound 5 was more effective . On 7.5, the “food noise” is louder & my will power isn’t as a strong, but I’m trying. I make it a point to eat lunch and then maybe a few nuts or light popcorn later in the day. I drink a lot of water, but Cokes are my weakness. I will have a few sips from a 7oz can & that sates that desire. Besides Cokes, I’m more of a fan of savory/salty. If a piece of chocolate cake & a slice of pizza were offered to me, I’d choose the pizza every time. I’ve lost about 14 lbs since starting in late August. I have mobility issues and that keeps my exercising to a minimum, but I do what I can. Weight loss is glacially slow as a result, but I’ll take any form of progress. And since I have to pay for zepbound out of pocket, I literally can’t afford to get discouraged or say to hell with it all. Lastly, I had a horrific experience starting out on the 2.5 shot. I lived in a state of constant nausea, vomiting and being a font of diarrhea. Very often all at once. Having a bathtub next to the toilet came in handy. I’ve never been on chemo & God willing I won’t ever need to be-BUT--the initial dose had to be relatively close to the symptoms of chemotherapy as it gets. For three and a half weeks, I kept nothing down--I could keep nothing in and only lost two lbs for my trouble. Weight loss via the GLP-1 RA route ain’t the weak. I only wish it would permanently change one’s physiology regarding metabolism and “food noise”. At a grand a month, it should. Happy zepbounding all.
