I’m SO glad it is helpful! I hope it’s as successful for you as it was for me!! I was able to hit my goal weight and reach a BMI under 25, so I’m off of it now…but it was a MIRACLE for me and exactly what I needed to make long-term health adjustments.
I am SO glad that this was helpful! I hope your journey is going smoothly and working as well for you as it did me! I’m so sorry for the late response, as our area was hit very badly by Hurricane Helene and we didn’t have power / cell service / internet for several weeks.
@@hawkeyegrace Thanks so much for replying! I'm sorry I didn't catch your response until now. How terrible you were in the path of Helene. I hope things are a bit better now. I've been on Zepbound going on my 5th week. It's working really well. My dr upped the dosage from 2.5 to 5 just last week. I am having a lot of gastric side effects. It might be a little too much too soon. I think you said you didn't go up in dosage until much later. I'll wait a couple of days to see if I adjust. All that said, I've lost about 15 pounds in a month, so I'm very pleased with that!
@@davidl9781 Thank you so much David! Things are getting better for our area and we are grateful to have our basic services restored and stable. I'm glad to hear that Zepbound is going well for you, but I"m sorry to hear that you're having gastric side effects. I didn't experience that, but you could be right that it is because I took it slow. I didn't move up to 5mg until about 4 months in. I lost a total of 40 lbs at the highest. I have been off of it for over 3 months now. Life without Zepbound can be challenging since all of my old cravings and hunger came back pretty quickly. Thankfully I did establish some great habits, but I do find myself slipping more often than not with how hectic life has been. I've gained about 10 lbs back since I've been off of it, but have been holding steady for months...so overall VERY happy and I hope to make some more dietary changes and get back into that the hard way once life slows down a bit. I'm glad it's going well for you!
Hi! The protein bars that have been my favorite are the Pure Protein and Quest brand bars. In my opinion they have the best flavors without being too chalky tasting. For protein shakes, my clinician told me about MRE Light brand protein powder and I really liked that too! I use it to make shakes to drink and I could tolerate those flavors more than most protein powders.
Hello! I am working on a detailed blog post with ALL of the details, but to answer your questions: I am using Noom and Noom Med for my weight loss. With Noom Med (which is an add-on to the regular Noom program), you have access to clinicians to meet with them as frequently as possible to discuss your progress. They are the ones who prescribe the medication monthly based on your BMI. When started, my BMI put me in the “obese” category, so thankfully my insurance covered the medication 100%. I am very lucky, as it can be a quite expensive medication. Once your BMI gets under 25, then you start titrating down from the current dose of the medication to the lowest level to transition off of it. My BMI just finally got under 25, so I am now in the process of transitioning off the drug. Let me know if you have any other questions!
Thank you! I’m literally watching this as I’m taking the first injection.

This was incredibly helpful and comforting... I start the medication tomorrow. Thank you!

Thank you for this! Very interested in what protein drinks/bars you could tolerate! I am the same way!

thanked you !
My pleasure! I hope it helps!
Thank you
No problem! Happy to help!
You don’t just toss it. You have to put it in a special container you buy at the drug store and you send it back. You can’t throw it in the trash.
Yes thank you for clarifying! I should have mentioned the sharps container.
Well, you can do whatever you like…..
Thanks for sharing!
My pleasure! Thank you!
Do not recap rhe pen with the gray piece and please dispose of pen in a sharps container.
Thank you for that clarification!
Where do you get the medicine? You are very thin how are you getting the medicine?
