There’s one more to add to the list soon: Rybelsus (oral semaglutide), with new, higher doses (25 and 50mg), should be receiving FDA-approval for obesity later this year. First oral GLP-1 to receive that indication. 🌟
very informative i used topamax for migraines years back and i lost so much weight and as soon as i couldnt afford the co pay i just quit cold turkey ..now im prescriped contrave..ill let you know how it goes..
which one is the safest with the least side effects? i read where some of these create dangerous levels of lactic acid, specifically the meds for diabetes. thanks.
retired, 70s, bmi 43, united healthcare, this video doesnt even matter because none of these are covered, and I dont have 500-$1000 dollars a month to pay out of pocket. Ive suffered a lot of trauma, and eat to (medicate) the pain.
Contrave is $99/ month if you go through there website. Also, Phentermine low dose can be helpful for establishing good habits. Weight training is a must.
A lot of the meds in the vid actually do not cost anywhere near $500-1000/month. 🤷🏻 I get that you feel discouraged, but giving up seems like a very bad option, long-term health-wise.
@@margueritebaroan9042 it can be highly addictive, if you have any mental illnesses it can cause those symptoms to be worse, it can cause mood swings especially when the med wears off. It has it's pros and cons. Definitely one if your not use to stimulants ease into it and not take the full dose immediately. Dr might suggest to take half bc they are made to be broke in half in tablet form.
I was on ozempic, and after I stopped using it , I started binge eating. I couldn't stop ! I don't know if it was depression or in my gut. I feel like the ozempic made my depression worse. But I can't be certain. Have you heard about people binge earing after ozempic? I gained all my weight back
Dont understand why doc not giving me prescription with one of these..only giving me for only hypertension when im obese, prediabetes, heart prob and kidney stones..told me to exercise at home and doing it..but i realize im an emotional eater..weight going up since giving birth..food is my comforter whenever im sad while taking care of my special child
Phentermine works immediately weight loss of up to 10lbs the first week even with poor diet but once you stop taking it, you MUST be disciplined to keep it off because the appetite returns 10 times worse and the weight will return plus more.
@pmoore It reduces the calories you absorb from *fat,* IIRC. But the weight-loss is minimal, and the potential side effects are highly embarrassing and messy. 😢 Personally, if you were looking for something relatively cheap (aka a non-GLP-1), yet fairly effective, I’d talk with your doctor about Contrave or Qsymia. Assuming you don’t have any contraindications, that’d seem to be a good path to do some research on and see. 🤔 The newer GLP-1s will usually be better for weight-loss (for most, but not all ppl), but are very expensive and frequently in shortage. 🤬
I have been taking phentermine for 2 months with no problems. I am 26. All of a sudden I have chest pain and throat is so tight it hurts to breathe in. My heart is beating very fast.
Great vid. Your overviews are first-rate. 👍 But, as always, Wegovy is pronounced WEH-GOH-VEE, not ‘WEH-GUH-VEE’. Listen to Novo Nordisk execs or researchers during earnings calls or at conferences sometime... that’s how they say it. ☑️
Zepbound is also a GIP agonist, but it’s technically also the exact same drug as Mounjaro, just with a different FDA indication. There are other GIP agonists in the works, such as Retatrutide and VK2735, but they won’t officially hit the market for a couple of years yet.
I hate food. I don't understand how people enjoy chewing and swallowing food. I find it easy to keep slim. If I could eat grass I would. I find food repulsive.
Here's a funny thought, how about investing in teaching people how to eat properly. Wow, that's insane isn't it 🙄. To me, no doctor of any reputable standing would prescribe these.

Thank you for the info about Java burn. I had seriously considered buying it and am glad I watched your video review about it
I loved contrave. I haven't gained any of that weight back .

it’s not just a magic pill that’ll melt the pounds away, it helps you lose weight but you also have to do your part!
Sir
Please suggest the effective weights loss pill that thyroid patients can take ... rybelsus is not for thyroid patients
Try carnivore diet and fasting, worked for a friend of mine while on max dose of meds.

Orlistat effective if you have no fat in your diet?
I have the same question!
You don’t even wanna be on Orlistat regardless.
Worrying that you might crap your pants in public is kinda a deal-breaker. 😬

Stop taking that. You will get a heart valve murmur

How are you doing now? Did you stop taking phentermine?
So basically apart from Xenical and Contrave and the dangerous ones that makes your metabolism goes wild , everything else is about blood sugar.
