Will definatly be posting a dive review but it will be a few weeks (and likely be inland due to my schedule). I've already got some thoughts based on playing with the dive mode tho.
Congrats for this video! I'm studing suunto ocean and shearwater tern tx. The compass is activated in dive mode? Based on the information displayed in dive mode, do you believe it is necessary to press buttons during the dive to check important information or the main screen includes all necessary information for a safe diving?
While i've not gotten to dive it yet (I will post a dive specific review, right now i'm evaluating it as a watch and will post a watch specific review in 2 weeks or so) I believe that the compass is not available in dive mode. I am not sure if this is an oversight or intentional choice from suunto. I will also say it doesn't matter to me; having used multiple dive computers with digital compasses aside from merely being able to check a box saying i've got a compass they are not nearly as useful as you would imagine (they are all really hard to use). If i'm going to be doing something that needs navigation i'm going to use an analog compass. regarding information displayed in dive mode: yes it has the important things displayed all the time: depth, NDL, total time. a selectable display portion can cycle (via button press: you can lock this with a long button press) Tank pressure, consumption cuft/min, gas time remaining, safety stop, type of active gas, ppo2, temp, max depth, clock, and battery. I've already picked up on a few things i think that could be improved upon in the dive mode: you'll see this during my actual dive review.
Compass does not work when in scuba mode. In freediving it does work. Suunto support couldn't tell if there is going to be an update. The buttons work well even with dry gloves and you do need to use the buttons to toggle between different info in the bottom. Going to my next dive with it right now.
Thanks!. I bought the watch with the POD. I've never used one before; so found your video on how to correctly install it very useful.
Just make sure to check it's hand tight before every dive!
@@NARoutdoors Thank you. I will ensure that I seek expert help from the dive shop, the first time I use it.
good to know how to pair up with tank pod, thanks
do you have one that shows the compass display in the various dive mode
You’re diver interesting watch and review. Can you try it on the open sea?

Thanks! Waiting for the new video. If you have any other dive computer to compare, will be a plus.
