- If I had to pick one favourite vegetable its a no-brainer for me, its Potatoes! What makes potatoes even yummier is having them coated in a spice mix, smashed, and double-cooked so they are super crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
INGREDIENTS
1.5 kgs small white potatoes
SPICE MIX
2 tsp smoked paprika
2 tsp ground cumin
2 garlic cloves grated or minced
5-6 tbsp extra virgin olive oil plus more to top up
Sea salt to taste
Chili flakes or powder (optional)

Made this for a holiday gathering once. They were a huge hit. Definite crowd pleaser
For how long do I keep them in the oven?

A little tip if the potato are a little big first boil them then cut in half & they taste really awesome with Ranch ❤

What’s the spices?? Paprika, black pepper or white pepper? With salt? Garlic and olive oil. I am missing the dried spices

These look delicious! We call these smashed potatoes, though most of the time I also add some herbs on mine. I served them up with Sunday breakfast last week instead of hash browns, they were a hit!
Maaaan, these are so good! I wasn't expecting them to be so good. I used oil and butter instead of just olive oil.

I love potatoes regardless, but there is just something nice about hearing a woman with an Australian accent give the recipe.
You really don’t have to make a marinade. You can just toss them in olive oil and use whatever spices you want right before cooking.
