Dear Amazing Domestic Geek Family, I hope this message finds you all well and thriving. I wanted to take a moment to share some important news with you all. Over the past year, I've faced some significant challenges on the home front. Balancing the demands of raising two small children while managing chronic migraines has proven to be more challenging than I anticipated. Unfortunately, the toll on my health has led me to experience tremendous burnout, and after much reflection, I've had to make the difficult decision to pause my video production for the time being. I want to express my deepest gratitude for the incredible support you've shown me throughout this journey. Your kind words, encouragement, and enthusiasm for The Domestic Geek have been a constant source of inspiration for me. It truly warms my heart to know that my videos have brought joy and value to your lives. Please know that this decision was not made lightly, and I am navigating these challenges with the well-being of my family as my top priority. I am taking this time to focus on my health and to be fully present for my little ones during these important years. While I may be stepping back from creating content for now, I want you to know that I am not saying goodbye. I hope to return to making videos when the time is right, and I am able to give you the quality content you deserve. In the meantime, I encourage you to explore the abundance of recipes available in The Domestic Geek archives here on UA-cam and at thedomesticgeek.com. Hopefully, you'll find tons of great ideas to keep you inspired and entertained while I'm on this hiatus. Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for being the most incredible community. Your understanding and support mean the world to me, and I am truly blessed to have you as part of The Domestic Geek family. Wishing you all the best, and I hope to be back with you soon. Love always, Sara Lynn
Oh, goodness. I am so sorry to hear this. Chronic migraines, from my experience, tend to be hereditary. I suffered from them, as well, as my mom. We took Midrin to relieve the pain back in the 80's. I understand what you're going through and I'm happy that you're taking time away to heal and be with your family. Take all the time you need. We will be here when you get back.❤
Whenever we have chicken, my husband always prefers for me to make potato wedges. This recipe is by far the best one I’ve tried and the seasoning combination is perfect. Thank you for making easy to follow food recipes! I’m a huge fan of yours and have watched many videos of yours and created many delicious meals from them. Thank you! 🙏❤️
Ok I made these two days in a row the best best wedges I ever made. I’ve been eating them so much I did not comment till now. Air fried ten min at 360 then 10 at 390. Perfect creamy texture inside nice crust outside. Ty ty ty
My Auntie has waited for like the perfect recipe a potato wedges. I made these and a she fell in love. It was exactly what she needed to feel like she got something home cooked and delicious thank you for your help
Made a very similar batch last night. Still used Russet potatoes. But instead of wedges (the sharp edges tend to scorch before the rest of the potato is done) I cut them into fairly thick slabs - just under 1 cm (they shrink in the oven). Before baking, I put them in boiling water for 7 minutes or so to make them fluffy on the inside. Be careful as they'll be fragile. Let them cool and dry them off. Then coat them in EVOO, salt, pepper, and seasonings. Then put them in a 430 degree oven for about 40 minutes or so, flipping once. Perfect.
Thank you so much. I spend time searching for recipes that are healthier than fast food as my husband is on a low-sodium diet because of his heart. These are so amazing!!
I’m just amazed with the fact that you calculated the amount of potatoes so perfectly! They fit beautifully in the tray! I’m making this recipe today, thank you!
a great tip for extra crispy wedges is to parboil them ahead of time, for just about 2 or 3 minutes, and then spread them on a rack and allow them to cool thoroughly. The hot parboiled potatoes will steam out a great deal more of their moisture. You also end up with a nice, fluffier interior.
Tip: (learned this from doing brussel sprouts this way) place everything in a ziplock type bag and massage/mix it that way. You can shake it up, massage the bag exterior and keep hands clean😊
Before it was called glamping, my dad brought the satellite dish and turkey fryer to the church canoe trip. So many fries were made, we were giving some out to other campers. This just reminded of that.
Potato Wedges are our most favourite "we want something yummy but are way too lazy to cook"-recipe... But I never bothered drying them, which I now totally will! Thanks for the tip!
Tbh it's more work than regular fried potatoes. So definitely not a lazy recipe. This recipe takes same effort as making some dumplings/chebureki. My most lazy recipe is probably "penne" or any type pasta with "taco meat", cheese, champignons and tomato sauce, 10mins and ready.
A good trick to season your wedges without getting your hands dirty is to put the wedges in a plastic bag with the oil and the seasoning. Close the bag. Then shake the bag and make it so that the oil and the seasoning are nicely distributed on the potatoes.
This is perfect!!! I was upset when KFC stopped serving potato wedges (LOL), now I can make my own. They look delicious 😋 THANK YOU for sharing this recipe 🙏
I made these after I was also randomly craving potato wedges 😅 WOW!!!🤩 🔥These were exactly what I was craving and more!! Excited to try these with some cheddar cheese and bacon bits! Thank you so much for this recipe! ❤❤
I made them with the potatoes sold at Aldi ("Premium Gold by Alsum Farms). DELICIOUS! Had to make myself stop eating them and store the rest for another day! 🥔😊
Many thanks lady for sharing easy to make instant potato wedges. I prefer to make home my daily food or snacks and this recipe will be on priority list to make it at home. God bless you.
I made to girl !! When they stopped serving the potato weggies. and the Cole slaw. I have white potatos I'm gonna make these tomorrow with fish sticks and Cole slaw yum yummy 😋
This is one of my family favorite comfort foods. Definitely will try it especially the dipping sauce. I always find my myself with a couple of conundrums when come to bake French fries or potato wedges. Should olive oil be used since they are baked at high temperature? Salt should be added before or after baking. Some said if salt is added before baking, it will draw the moisture out and result in soggy wedges or fries. I would like to hear from you, Sara. Thank you for sharing.
this looks Amazing I have French frie seasoning so I don't have to add this to my potatoes and the seasoning my mom favorite seasoning was using Acc'ent to her fish.I like to use old Bay seasoning a kosher salt and pepper red pepper 🌶 flakes and parsley and baked 😀 it.
I'm too lazy; when I do potato wedges, I line a grill with parchment paper and turn on the top and bottom heat elements in my toaster oven (i.e. put it on the 'toast' setting) and they come out crispy on both sides without the need for flipping them half way through!
Im going to try ti make these tomorrow!! 🤗💕 Does anyone know if i can put them on a wire rack above the pan so i can skip flipping? 🤔 I winder if they would stick to it tho 😅 Tysm if anyone can answer!! These look PERFECT! Cant wait!! 🥰
I still haven't turned 13, but I tried this and it's wonderful. I really loved the crispness and just, everything! This was really good and next time I make wedges I'll make sure to use your video. Much love 💗
There are very young children who cook as well so being almost 13 is not too young to cook. You are more than capable to follow instructions and copy them with success.

Haha, same in my house!! Drying them definitely helps them get extra crispy!!

This is perfect!!! I was upset when KFC stopped serving potato wedges (LOL), now I can make my own. They look delicious 😋 THANK YOU for sharing this recipe 🙏
Omg nooo! I just went to KFC’s website to see if this is true. I love their wedges dipped in the gravy 😩 going to try making these tonight 🤞🏽
I asked for the wedges a while back and was told they had fries now. I was so depressed.
@Autismo Gamer Ahh, mommies little troll, thinking to bait someone. Feel better now? Enjoy mommies basement.
If you want to replicate KFC wedges, you’ll need to look up battered potato wedges. They are coated in a thin batter and deep fried.
@@gregorywallace7614 didn’t they always have fries? i’m confused. i don’t remember kfc having wedges. i’m in canada, if that makes a difference
I made these after I was also randomly craving potato wedges 😅 WOW!!!🤩 🔥These were exactly what I was craving and more!! Excited to try these with some cheddar cheese and bacon bits! Thank you so much for this recipe! ❤❤

In Jamaica farmers are now reaping irish potatoes. Thanks for the great delicious idea😋

I’m glad I find your Chanel. I straggle what to eat as a single man. Great recipes, subscribed.

Put the oil and spices in a gallon storage bag, mix well and add potatoes, seal and toss. No mess.
Just found this recipe ... going to give it a try ... hope to see more recipes from you soon.
Been doing the same thing for a while now. I use a Cajun spice blend for mine; but still a great way to make wedges.
My freind showed me this video after I tried her wedges and asked for the recipe oh my goodness I’m so exited to make them ❤

Been enjoying these for over 40 years from local country convenience stores, I'll have to try making some at home now. Thanks.
I like the idea of ketchup dipping sauce mixed with a spice. Any other suggestions besides paprika?
would adding baking powder or baking soda to the seasoning help with the crispier exterior?
They look fantastic will try very soon thanks from Belfast.
