Absolutely! It’s nice to hit those grails here and there, however in the brick n mortar business our bread and butter is in the $5-$10 records. Thanks for watching!
It is great that so many albums are going to find new homes. Sad that so many are damaged but at the same time there are many albums that no one is ever going to want and they need to be taken out of circulation.
Like this story.once while going to a junkyard to get a part for my car.i found 2 big garbage bags and f baseball cards.the owner thought I was stupid when I asked if I could have them.and I actually was a baseball card collector.lots of CArds not worth anything.but at least four or five I made serious jingle on.yeah nobody ever counts the labor.i used to say what ever you make at your day job you need to factor that in.
Aww, I loved the book Jonathan Livingston Seagull, by Richard Bach. 19:25 I had NO idea that books on vinyl were ever 'a thing', but I guess they were?
That is like a dream, I can't think if anything better than discovering a trailer of albums good or bad. I was at school fete about 8 years ago and someone donated a complete collection of stuff about 2000 cds, they sold a few during the day but at 3pm they had to close the stall. They didn't want to store the albums, so they said I could have the lot for $10...8 boxes full of cd's. My greatest day as alive. A fair amount of rubbish, but did have a lot if Frank Zappa, about 35 cd's.
Wow i love videos like these try to catch up on your videos i watch so much different stuff on here so its nice when i get a video on here im actually interested im all over the place so ig thats why haha. But anyway i just wanna say im glad you are salvaging as much stuff as possible bc even tho you might have too much of it and i know as a shop you gotta keep what makes sense for you but as a 23 yr old who listens to 50s-60s stuff mostly actually even dean martin haha you never know to each there own as they say.. 👍
Just found your channel - NICE! What do you use to clean all the vinyl. That's a daunting task LOL. Again, great content. Thanks for making these videos. Mark
So much vinyl. What to do with it all? Nice that you're trying to rescue most of it. I use to sell "Fuller Brush" Carpet Sweepers in the early 1980's. Hilarious find with that old Fuller Brush turntable encased in its own traveling briefcase. I never knew Fuller Brush had a product like that. I would donate it to a Historical Museum. It's amazing to me that Fuller Brush had a small part in the music entertainment field. I doubt there's many of those turntables out there.
That Fuller Brush Phonograph Player has a 35mm. Filmstrip Projector. This is a Salesman's Traveling Sales Case used to promote Fuller Brush products at shows. Could be worth something depending on condition and if it all works.
Hi, so how did Manila Machine turn out condition wise ? that was a fantastic find, when I saw your previous video I thought to myself, hope he is putting that in the I want pile. Glad someone mention it to you, well done man.
@@BacktotheMedia of course! Outside of people pointing stuff out to you, I've been following you for a few years and I appreciate the effort you put in into learning the nitty gritty of record values. I saw you post on Mack Steven's channel for example. Only hardcore record nerds watch him (I wish he posted more now). I can't express enough how much I love people trying to learn more. 60s Phil Spector girl group records are very expensive!
Thanks so much for the kind comment. Yes I do miss Mack’s videos I watched I believe every single episode he ever put up. Yes I’m always learning too and trying to learn a vast majority of great classics albums from the beginning up until stuff going out of print and hard to get in the last couple years. Running a record shop I learn something new every week! Thanks for watching!
At 22.23 , you hmm and ahhh about keeping the “Kensington” LP …..skip it , it’s a board game not an LP ….it was omnipresent in all the LP piles over here in the U.K. at one time
I had to stop viewing your video because you and your wife or girlfriend offended me. Since you guys are from the younger generation wouldn't know what good music if it hit you in the forehead. I've been collecting records long before you guys were considered to be born. You guys pass up on alot of good old music from my past. It's today's music I have a big problem with.
That rosemarys baby soundtrack is awesome. Creepy ass theme
Lots of decent $5 to $10 Dollar 💵 records & a well stocked budget bin for years. I'll stop in for sure 👍

Dig that rare and valuable Paul McCartney 45 "When you were young, and your heart was an open book...."

Happy for you guys

It feels so bad to see vinyl in that bad condition. Good that there was also some in good shape.

Don't be so quick to toss out Donna Summer or 12 inch singles. Dance music may not be your thing but there's a huge market for it.
Yo!
I'm accepting records donations,
shoot the ones you don't want, get at me and let me know.
Dean Martin "yuck"???
not bad, but you don't know is all
great or lot of trash 😀👍👏

We are retailers, we buy music that sells in today’s market 2024. We also collect music that we like and grew up with. It’s different for everyone.
