In this video, we look at the transition elements. First we look at the location of the transition elements on the periodic table. We then look at the properties of the transition elements compared with the group 1 metals. Finally, we explore the properties of transition element compounds.
This video is based on the AQA spec. If you are following a different exam board then you should check your specification. The Amazon link above is an affiliate link. Your videos helped me alot in my GCSE's, I watched each multiple times and used them to write revision cards. even until the last minute before my exams I was watching your videos.
I just got my results for chemsitry today, I was 5 marks away from a grade 8 But I'm still very happy because I would've thought to just get passes!!
WOW! Your vocal voice suites with teaching.
My chemistry teacher gave me this as revision today. Within this video i subscribed, its amazing
YES SIR 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks alot it really helped
do you need to know the colours they form for your exams
Are group 1 metals pure metals is that why they are soft because pure metals slide over each other easily and not a great force would need to be appalied to move them
The softness of group 1 metals is not because they're pure (although we are talking about pure metals). It's because the forces between the atoms are not as strong as for other metals.
Can transition metals also form negative ions? Like scandium has 3 electrons on its outer shell. Transition metals have always confused me because the outer shell of electrons varies a lot
Doesn’t iron have the electronic structure of 2,8,8,8? Why is it not unreactive? Why did you say it can form a +2 or +3 ion?
Do you need to know the colours of the compounds shown?
Shaun, how can I get all 9s in my GCSEs without trying too hard?
impossible my bro
Im not shaun but its simple Simple...! You can't, you have to try hard for a 9
ITS possible to just watch his videos and get 9s , people have done it before where they benched watch the playlists before the exam and have got a 9
