In this video, we look at group 1 - the alkali metals. First we look at how the group 1 metals react with oxygen and how group 1 metals get more reactive as we move down group 1. We then explore how the group 1 metals react with chlorine gas.

When you add Li+O2=Li2O you wrote like this
But when you add 2Li+CI2=2LICI
So why did you put the 2 in different places

Because the 2 only applies to the Oxygen in the first case, yet the 2 applies to both lithium and chlorine in the second case.
