@@MusicForTheSoulReactionson your own, you might want to find this song played live at Madison Square Gardens (1973), it’s like 35 minutes long. That version is even better, & features Page’s fantasy scene from the movie. This show here was on January 9,1970, Page’s 26th birthday the whole concert footage is amazing. You might want to checkout Bonham’s 15-20 minute solo from this concert, called Moby Dick. It stands alone they do the song on an album but it’s nothing like his live solo. It shows Bonham killing his drums, & why he’s the greatest drummer ever, he performed it over 200 times at some point during their 3 to 4 hour concerts. You are so funny, & I absolutely love you, I love watching your reactions. Thank you once again for your great reaction, I don’t even mind you pausing so much, because you are so funny.
Just catching up with this review. The video shows what a fantastic band Zep were. The guitar, bass and drums, along with Plan's vocals... aaaarrrrrrrrgghhhhh! 😊 Sublime. I like when you said you felt like an ice cream on a hot day, Steve lol You come out with some good lines 😅 Now back to the review...
Couldn't agree more, this was just a pure demonstration of each individuals skills brought together! Haha God knows where half of my random analogys come from!
@@MusicForTheSoulReactions your analogies though funny at times, show how intelligent you are. I don't mean that in a patronising way. You come out with words that I don't use in my vocabulary lol Oh, and your facial expressions which you mentioned, when your face was aching with the music lol Another reason in liking your reviews. You appreciate the music. The GENESIS ones make me laugh because they twist you up and down with where the music takes you. And of course the Zepathon 😊 Anyway, keep on trucking as an old 1970s song says.
Can you even imagine the ENERGY output these guys had to expend when they put on 3 hour concerts and were on a long tour? If I recall, this show was their triumphant return to England after having done three major tours of North America, where they found their fame. They left England in late December of 1968 an unknown band, and here, just over one year later, come home to the Royal Albert Hall. Talk about a meteoric rise to fame. Robert Plant talks about that time in interviews..,saying they were blown away by how fast the success came…..it did leave them a bit “dazed”.
@MusicForTheSoulReactions To give your fried grey matter a rest, I thought you would enjoy a group called the Greatful Dead. Now they had old gaurd roadies. A song called Estimated Prophet is a good start. They have their own genre. They would perform for 4 plus hrs with songs lasting 30 minutes. Saw the Dead twice, brilliant live.
I saw them 6th row center in Dallas 51 years ago. I was 15. I’ve seen Plsnt several times since, as well as Page. Always leave with a shit grin on my face that lasts for days! I need to add that back in the day, you could stand at the stage without being pushed or crowded. People respected others and had their own space. ☮️❤️🎼😎
Hey Steve, I'm finally back and have to catch up again! I so enjoyed watching this with you! As I've probably told you before, this is my favorite show! Hey Zephead! Long time no speak! Good to hear from you. Yeah this one blew my mind, what a performance. If they happen to cover any songs of album 2 then it would be good to check out this performance again of one of those songs once I've completed that 2nd album listen through?!
@@MusicForTheSoulReactions Yes, from Led Zep II, at this gig, there's Whole Lotta Love, Bring it on Home, and Moby Dick. I think those are the only ones, but I'm not positive, I'd have to check myself on it. ☮️❤️
