A Japanese "Double-Imported" 3DS Unboxing

- These 3DSes are being sold in Taiwan (and according to my research, Hong Kong as well - though this is the Taiwanese version) as a way for residents to play their imported 3DS games from Japan.
The appeal to this is that it blocks you from using all online functionality (aside from system updates), possibly to justify its low price point, but I'm not sure of the actual reason.

I'm pretty sure the language is Taiwanese, not Chinese. They are very similar looking from a glance, so they're pretty easy to get mixed up if you don't know the languages. Nice video by the way! I didn't know about this exclusive!
I'm pretty sure Taiwan STILL uses chinese (Traditional Chinese which is, STILL considered chinese), albeit compared to Simplified Chinese (which is used in mainland china, aka excluding HK & Macau which use Traditional). Both variants are interchangable. "Taiwanese" may refer to hokkien, which is seldom used.
Yeah, I meant hokkien, after i posted this i realized it was so seldom used.
The iQue 3DS is dead, the mainland Chinese government dictated where it could be sold which led to poor sales.

Also, were you able to hack it with a primary exploit?
The original 3ds came with 2GB Blue Toshiba SD cards so it never changed. I got my original 3ds launch week and it has the Toshiba sd card

Yes I do, but I don't really want to sell mine. I can give you the "ctrtransfer" stuff if you want to use it on a regular Japanese system to turn it into one of these.
Did you ever dump the firmware?
Hey, yeah I did, but I'm not sure what to do with it. Since it was so long ago, and since I actually had a computer stolen from me in that time, I'm not sure what I still have accessible, but I know I have the "ctrtransfer" dump from GodMode9 I made of that unit, and the unit now has fully unlocked Japanese firmware (via said ctrtransfer).
If that means anything to you I can share it
