- So a few weeks ago, I ordered a hot pink nintendo dsi on ebay... and there were some issues (check out the video link below). So we got things resolved, and the actual DSi came in the mail recently, and I unboxed it!

I have the exact same dsi lol, Flipnote was childhood. Really miss it. Basically it’s like a digital notepad that you can draw on and insert sound in. Young artists in the making

It's basically an animation program,people were so creative in that time.
Talk about a blast from the past! This is the exact DSi model I got for my 11th birthday back in 2010, along with New Super Mario Bros and Zhu Zhu Pets 2, and a Super Mario themed denim carrying case. The thing still runs perfectly fine and the console and case are in near-perfect condition 11 years later (though the touchscreen is a tad scratched, because I kept losing my styluses and just started using actual pens instead. I was 11, okay?) The charger definitely shows its age and it sure as hell feels flimsy compared to charging cables today, but it still works just fine.
Also, I straight up winced when you said you don't know what Flipnote Studio is. That thing was my life as a preteen! The death of Flipnote Hatena still pains me to this day.

I had old stickers and when i took them off the color under mine was so clean so i cleaned mine and now i cant record any sounds anymore bc its scratchy ;

Omg, you’re so lucky the one you received is pretty clean, despite being used. I ordered one not too long ago but it was gunky. I had to clean the outside, as well as the inside because the gunk got all the way into the trigger button contacts, which was preventing them from functioning correctly. 😩

If you want to have clean products (like a DSi), look at the condition. Mint condition is probably the best.

TariqIsRed Thankfully it was in very good condition, aside from being gunky. The screens barely had any scratches on them, if at all. The shell itself looked good as well. I’m not too mad since I paid $25 (which is an amazing deal), but it was still pretty gross before I started deep cleaning it. The gunk looked like earwax. 😂
I ordered a white DS Lite last year and it was functional, but the gunk got everywhere and it stuck between the plastic and the glass of the shell,making the brownish taint clearly visible and still haven't found a way to remove it from there without risking damages.
I like when people collect old things. These old things have value in them and are great for retro collector’s items.

I was lucky when ordering my new 3ds xl, cause even though it said that it was used, it only said that cause it was already opened, but other than that it was supposedly "never used". So when I got it, it was pretty much brand new. Not a scratch in sight.
Flipnote studio is an animation program for the DSI it kind of has its own version of a UA-cam where you can post your animations

the aux adapter im pretty sure is to do functions sorta similar like trading on the pokemon games, which some work using the wifi and some dont

adam pro yes! I absolutely love it. Came in great condition with couple scratches but nothing major. The key is to carefully look at the images on eBay and read the descriptions. Apparently they are selling fast , guess because we’re all quarantined and there’s nothing to do. Anyways I’ve tried multiple selling sites/apps and Ebay was the best choice. Though you’d go into a bidding war lol but if you don’t win the item there’s always others selling too. I’ve gone through couple listings where I didn’t win but I kept trying and finally won one and it’s definitely worth it. I had set a budget on how much I would pay so that’s good.

I bought a replacement DS Lite screen from ebay, because I screwed up the ribbon cable while trying to replace the shell, that I also got from ebay. The screen ACTUALLY came exactly 6 minutes ago. I was so surprised.

I think DSi XL would've been better. They're more expensive than the standard DSi, and the DSi it's good on its own, but the bigger screens on the DSi XL make it the definitive DS model.
Thing in the DSi XL is that, Nintendo made the screens only 50% bigger without actually changing the pixel bit rate, sharpness and resolution, so every DS game you play on it is gonna look blurry unlike in the DSi which has a sharp screen since it's not scaled, put the brightness to 50% on the DSi and try playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 on it and it will still look decent, while if we go and do that in the DSi XL it is gonna look okay but very blurry and badly scaled. That's why I mainly would go for Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DS Lite, but that's just my opinion you can get whatever console suits you better :)
And also I prefer smaller handheld systems because of how they can fit in my back pocket (the DSi is just about the size of my hand maybe a little bigger, and I have average hands so DSi is the way to go for me, but the Nintendo 3DS is basically the same as the DSi but with 3D capability, your choice bro.
@@groovemusic9126 the game looks crystal clear on my screen, i'm sensitive towards blur since i hate when old games look murky, but the portability is a valid point, even if the dsi xl isn't that big, it fits in my pocket

I had the exact same dsi when I was younger.. my first was a ds lite in black still have it, then i had a greyish blue dsi, then this pink dsi. I have no clue where my dsi’s are. to be fair, throughout my childhood me and my family moved house to house around every 2 years. They definitely got lost in between at somepoint sadly. Just surprised how I managed to keep my first one after all this time. Had it since 2009. I was only 4
