Attention is compassion. Attention is love. These can be cultivated. And it is about time this understanding is introduced to the world because these ideas have been around for a long time, especially in Eastern philosophy, so thank-you very much for putting this video up.
As soon as the video started, I thought, "I'll bet Sharon Salzberg and her team chose cartoons of dogs on purpose. And that purpose was that people do connect with dogs more easily than humans. And perhaps it's a cartoon to bring back some of the tenderness we might have had more naturally as children." As you can see, I think about these things LOTS! LOL!
Can't believe this, this is an idea that struck me just 2 days back - that compassion is not something that we're either born with or without and that it can constantly be worked upon. How did I come across this video today? I didn't even "google" it!
The animation and story narrative went good together. I like how you elaborate on paying attention to people you see everyday. Body language can easily be missed in this fast pace society. It is a science all on it’s own. The book ‘Social Intelligence’ by Coleman goes into these detail, good book on compassion. Peace
A Virtue of the truly human... O Thou the Compassionate God! Bestow upon me a heart, which like unto a glass, may be illumined with the light of Thy love, and confer upon me a thought which may change this world into a rose-garden through the spiritual bounty. - Baha'i Faith
Compassion is from God, for those of us in the Land of the living, we are still here because of his grace his Steadfast Faithful Love and compassion, why do people neglect Our Creator? Don't take his patience and mercy for granted..ever 🙏🏼
This is an amazing video. Mindfulness Summarized in a convenient way to help ease the tension people put on themselves. I will be trying to incorporate these thought into my meditation.
We are meant to be the benevolent, wise guides of the planet, of children and of the lower species of life. We are supposed to be caring, we are supposed to be compassionate upon those and that which we dominate, which we are temporarily the controllers or the dominators of.
Me encanta, muchas gracias por vuestro aporte. Me ha resultado muy nutritivo y práctico. Muchas gracias. I love it, thank you very much for your contribution. I found it very nourishing and practical. Thank you very much.
Good video. I call it being considerate vs. the term compassion. Compassion implies the other person is down in some way. Fact is, she may be better off than I am, all things considered.

You either born with it or you don't. If you want to know if a person is truly nice, observer her after an stressful or trying event. Some people when bad shit happen to them they let go, while the aholes will go the other way.
This video approaches compassion but fails to fully realize the fact that compassion is a choice. People who lack compassion choose to lack compassion. This video avoids this judgmental fact because the creator does not want to pass negative judgments on those who live their lives devoid of any concerns outside of themselves. We make excuses for those who approach the world with a default view of selfishness.
Your cashier is going to be someone who wants you out of their face so they can go home. Instead of REALLY paying attention to people, give them some attention and build it upwards if need-be. Compassion "A natural result that actually comes from paying attention"
I will use this philosophy and see the difference in my life and others.

Yes, it's funny.
Am I the only one who finds myself surprised at how well I relate to these animals compared to an actual person?

compassion is practical work rather than thinking! most of all self compassion should be first than others..
