The two vehicles are similar but aren’t at the same time. I own a Jeep JK and will freely admit that the Bronco is probably the better daily driver. A big part of it is the independent suspension vs the solid axel. On off-road trails like rock crawling and the like, Jeep has a slight edge. The Bronco had an edge in more desert/dune, I think. I’m glad Bronco is giving some good competition to Jeep and hope it leads to some friendly competition and drive for both vehicles to improve.
As a Bronco owner I find it nice that I can agree with a Jeep guy. I love off-roading. And the Bronco is competitive in the dirt. But the Jeep is better in the difficult stuff. But no matter how much I go OffRoad at every opportunity more than 80% of my miles will be on pavement. Bronco wins on the highway. One other thing… interior of the Bronco is much roomier for a big guy like me.
I've had two Jeeps over the last couple of decades. Got a Bronco about two weeks ago. The Bronco is way better for a daily driver. She is right. There isn't even a comparison.
Start off by saying I’ve had four Jeeps in a row. But this week I traded in the ‘21 Rubicon for a Bronco so I have some experience with this. Both are very different off-roaders. But the Jeep ride hands down is way worse. Mostly from a comfort point of view. Jeep needs to rethink their seats for one. I’ve never had an issue with wandering so not sure what people talk about. But for now I like the more modern aspects of the Bronco. Jeep needs to catch up on this stuff tbh.
I haven’t driven a jeep Off-road, which is why I based this for everyday use. I think both are great vehicles, but I would agree the Bronco is much better for daily driving than the Jeep!
Awesome review. Up front honest and direct. I agree with you. I too like Jeeps but it seems that Jeep didn’t thoroughly check the outdated infotainment systems as well as comfort. I heard a podcast that gave a history lesson of the Bronco and how Ford researched and developed their own upgrades. . I.e: doors with mirrors not attached. Storage of the roofs: doors. Indeed Bronco will make Jeep better . Let’s hope Ford continues to evolve as well.
The infotainment system is where I was really surprised of it’s lack of luster. I think the “competition” of both is great for either side. It will only benefit the consumer!
My son has a 2 door 2017 JK Willys and I have the 4 door 2021 Bronco Badlands with the Sasquatch. We have extensively modified and tested the Jeep which has been both fun and satisfyingly. I am afraid to modify the Bronco too much and upset what quite possibly may be the most perfectly balanced machine. I can easily smoke the Jeep in the desert too. My son added the sport mode and now the Bronco is seriously quick. We carry extra fuel because the Jeep has a smaller gas tank. However, the JK can rock crawl moderately better. The Bronco's longer wheel base is begging for 37's and a quality lift to equal or exceed the Jeep's Billy goat capability. Ford has done an amazing job on the Bronco right out of the gate. For example (compared to the Jeep): mirror location, trail turn assist, the goat mode dial, aux switches, adding extra wires in key locations, on road manners, trail cam and now the new Ford off-road app. I give the nod to the Bronco- just don't tell my son. BTW: I really do enjoy watching your videos and think you do a very good job.
I'm a Ford employee and soon to be Bronco (WildTrak) owner, I agree with most of your review with just a small hiccup or two. The sound system you mentioned in the "stock" Bronco being subpar- I ordered my Bronco with the lux pkg. Included is a far superior premium b&o 10 speaker with subwoofer sound system. in addition that Jeep interior looks far outdated compared to the classy Bronco interior- that tiny screen is a joke. My Bronco is scheduled for production in a few weeks (week of (7/19) from now as of this writing (7/2). It's okay to be a proud Jeep fan, there's plenty of history involved- but there hasn't really been any serious competition for Jeeps Wrangler or Rubicon except for Toyotas long since discontinued FJ until recently with the Ford Bronco. I can't wait to get mine, so Bronco is visually more appealing, more user friendly inside and out, and more advanced in many ways both on and off-road. in addition, Jeep vehicles look good in the outside, but that's it. I've heard many horror stories regarding their quality and reliability. in the past I always wanted one (Wrangler), but the reliability issues always scared me away. More horsepower is not really a deal breaker for me, I've owned a couple Taurus SHO's in the past... with those came more speeding tickets. I'm not looking to repeat that. At the end when you mentioned the new Bronco will (hopefully for their sake) make Jeep a better brand- you hit the nail on the head. I was thinking the same thing. fantastic review though! smart kids! your husband is a lucky guy! 👍
I hope the quality of the B&O is better for you than I have in mine. I have a 2022 with Lux pkg and my subwoofer buzzes pretty bad if I try to put the volume up over 15. The sound all around isn't that well balanced but it's ok. I already had it in to have checked and they added more insulation, but nothing really changed. I'm leasing mine and will likely trade it at the end. Otherwise, it's an awesome vehicle and you'll enjoy it! The 2.7 engine is awesome!
@@CalgaryGuy71 thank you big time! I've heard similar stories about Bronco owners even changing various components of the b&o sound system because of various reasons similar to what you say. I love my music (mostly loud lol) and if I have to do a few upgrades to get the sound quality where I want it to be if the reviews are what they say, then so be it I guess. At least I'll be expecting it. I like your screen name, I'm a Dad with a cat too. Anyhoo, thanks again brother! 🤜🤛
Picitiny rail huh! Were you hiding the guns? I have had 4 jeeps since '89,and just bought the bronco. The bronco by far is a much better ride, the tech is a small upgrade from the jeep. My Hyundai pallisade by far has the best tech going. My wife likes the jeeps open air, but says the broncos ride is so smooth it dont leave her with black eyes. Another great video
I owned a 97 Jeep , it was ok at best , just seemed very unrefined. It was very small in the interior. It was a two door. It was just something to have a little off road fun but the steering drove me bonkers on the oversteer. It was just bad. It rode really bad , the insulation was horrible for road noise. Was it capable? Sure , but I was not off roading in it every day like the Jeep fan boys do. I was mainly working at the prison and driving it there. Off road maybe 6 times over a year and a half before I got rid of it. Now that I own a Bronco , I could off road in it daily , like a Jeep fanboy but if I chose not to do that. I could enjoy a fairly quiet cabin , and cruise on the highway in comfort. Its a solid performer , and for it having been so long for Ford to do anything to compete with Jeep. I do got to say , they really did a number on Jeep for the first iteration in a segment they will probably continue to top Jeep in , and I hope they do it for years to come. Jeeps had it monopoly long enough.
@Kricket _ yeah I know , I've heard the mall crawler thing over and over....lol so I figured I would add in the sarcasm .....almost all of them use a jeep the same way.
No matter which there is always comprises. My Bronco does everything I could ask for and more. Would I like cup holders and vents in the back? Sure but it’s not a deal breaker. I really would like some easy options for putting a winch on the front of a 2.7 L badlands Sasquatch but I haven’t found a big need for it although we did use my buddies about 25 times last trip 🤣
I own both a 24 Wrangler JLU and a 23 Badlands Sas and 1000% the bronco is better on the road. It handles better, steers better and the extra interior space is a huge plus. Now the wrangler feels a bit more nimble but again handling while cruising is not the same as being nimble around the back streets. The wrangler feels lighter and easier to park, but thats about it. Offroad it feels like it has a smaller more manageable foot print, but the bronco feels HUGE on the trail. They both even eachother out. But if you are a big person or have a family of 5, get the bronco for the extra room. You will need it. If you are not a family of 5 or more, or you are a smaller person(s), the jeep is great.
However, you didn't really compare performance or the engines. There is something to be said for a V8 hemi. Otherwise, I agree. The Bronco wins overall hands down. My wife drives our Bronco Badlands Sasquatch, Lux, etc. I wanted a Bronco, but I had a GMC AT4 that was less than a year old..... so I talked her into getting the Bronco. She absolutely loves it. You and Mitchell need to do more collabs. That was lots of fun. Best wishes.
I didn’t do engine, cuz obviously 392 is faster… one funny thing is this has 5k miles on it and Jim found a leak, so I tried to leave that part out of it for now.
I had a JKU and loved loved it. But I've had 5 full size Broncos in the past and since I'm in the market to get myself some new wheels...... I'm going Badlands. I KNOW the Jeep beats the Bronco in some regards but i want to give it a shot. I'm bummed about not getting a solid axle above any other concerns. The width of the Bronco is a concern but i don't think that one will bother me much
Great review. The only thing that bothered me was the size of the screen issue. Seriously how big of a screen do you need in a vehicle. People want 60" TV's jammed into their dashboards and no wonder nobody is paying attention to the road anymore. I traded my Ford F150 in for a 2023 Gladiator Mojave and the screen is perfect in my opinion. Shows me all the info I need. If you need a bigger screen move up to a 2024 model they have a 12" which wasn't enough of an upgrade to get me to buy the 2024 over the 2023 which I saved $13000 on.
Yup Bronco II owner loved that Ford. Drove army willies jeeps.. owned Cherokee sport liberty and GC Laredo F 150.. . drove army cut vee chev k10 diesel dodge 1500s Stance on Broncs good wheels steering set up on roads better.. sold jeeps had a pioneer as a demo.. the suv jeeps are set up for rural fine best for both is rough country dirt roads and snow
Great review. Hardcore "jeep" enthusiasts will not admit the Bronco is a better daily driver. Jeep guys would kill me. But Jeep needs an IFS version of their wrangler. You wouldn't see so many on the used car lot. many people love the idea of a jeep. But the road manners are horrendous. Most jeep owners who claim they "off road", go down to the beach, which could be accomplished in a jeep compass :D
I love my American cars but the new Toyota Land Cruiser is out and the Lexus that’s the equivalent to the land cruiser, and those things are pretty badass as far as the four-wheel-drive modes that come in those where I work we drive them off of the ship so I’ve gotten to drive one firsthand and they’re not that bad. Maybe you should do a little tester or comparison to those compare the bronco to each one of those.
@@BuckleUpButtercupTV clearly you’re very sensitive to any comment that is not praising the bronco, so I’m sure you need all the diaper rash cream you can have, so you can keep the link, for the sensitivity cos I’m sure more opinions from other folks will be coming your way
Literally nothing changed except for the screens, a 4xe XR, a full float rear axle for XR equipped models, and 33s on the Willys. Though I have to say, a 4xe Xtreme Recon is a big addition.
@The u mean a longer infotainment screen to run 2 windows for off road screens, powered yet water folding front seats, finally side airbags ( in the roll bar) bigger system to increase tow rating to 5000, safety features are now standard across the board ( phew) , more speakers, XR package in more models , built in winch ,select trim gets built in air compressor . What else did u expect from a mid cycle refresh ? It is already overbuilt for what it needs to do from factory / mopar
M glad you repeatedly pointed out that you are biased towards the vehicle and an all out bronco fan. Because otherwise this review makes no sense. On jeep, External doorless mirror a factory/mopar option with several cheap mods also available. While you didn't like that its an option, but didn't mention anything about your 3rd party bumper in bronco to accommodate a winch. Which is a simple add on from mopar in jeep. While you rightfully praised bronco dashboard features, there was no mention off sloppy and cheap plastic build quality unlike the jeep. 2/3 kids were happy with jeep backseat with valid points but you just declared that they clearly love Bronco as a vehicle. Also, Jeep 2024 has been announced and its all over the internet and the order page should be up anytime. It upgrades quiet few things that you mentioned here. So to release this review this late with no mention of upgrade list that everyone knows about seems odd. I agree that Bronco sales have really pushed the Jeep to improvise and release features that they were sleeping on
@@BuckleUpButtercupTV Save the cream for your axels , Buttercup ! No real logic to this review ... just brand bashing. Broncos are good but your video isn't.
Wait just a ding dong minut... THat there Jeep with its living axles is just teh best durn 4-wheeler out ther. It dont need no goat modes cuz it is the Goat. THat 800hp 392 will get it over some big time rocks faster than anythin. Dont need no fancy dash buckets for storing stuff cause they just gonna get bounced outta there anyway. That jiggly wiggle pitch and roll ride is like a free day at the fair and keeps me from fallin asleep if Ive drank too much. Go jeep.
I own both. 2021 Jeep rubicon xtreme recon and 2 door bronco badlands. Everytime I druve each I play this video / review thing out in my head. My wife and I have nitpicked everything about each. I don’t like the Jeep steering- never have - which is why we have a bronco. But my wife is a Jeep fan. She just loves it. For whatever unexplainable reason- which I get- it has a character about it that’s buggy like and fun. Like it shouldn’t be road legal but it. 100% agree bronco is better daily. Gets better gas mileage. Yada yada… but the Jeep is a Jeep. Idk always planned on picking one, but honestly I like having both still. Also, Jeep has an off-road + mode, not quite goat modes but, 4 lo and high it performs different functions. And the rear storage by roll bars, I love being able to stuff all types of stuff between window for storage. Lots of storage products on Amazon to add nooks and cranny’s. I really liked hearing someone else’s thoughts on both side by side though! Send it! lol!!
They are both so different and are much the same hahah I really do get what your saying. They are each their own, but both have flaws and have perks. I’m glad that you like both! I would rather like both than hating one or the other!
Jeep did it first. Goat modes don't teach you how to drive. They're a gimmick. I prefer the 4x4 shift lever. Analog is better. Doesn't require a relay that could go bad on a trail. I've owned a jeep and rock crawled with it. I needed a truck and sold it. (Regretted it) Bought the wife a Bronco. Perfect for her and how she is gonna drive it.
The Bronco is definitely a mom vehicle for all that Costco & Target running aroumd reasons you mentioned... thats what the Bronco is mainly for. 💯 Especially the 4 door... that thing is huge 😳 #Winning 😅
@BuckleUpButtercupTV Dont be mad about that mom SUV... You made the case with the kiddos and grocery getter examples... I just agreed with you... you convinced us 💯
LOL the Jeep won't be in the shop for months and months waiting for recalled parts. Look how many recalls the Bronco has!!! Ford should include free AAA for every Bronco purchase!
Great review all these keep people swear they off-road so much but, I see many are just daily drivers lol. Plus they are all over the place and don’t stand out like the bronco does. Hell, OJ made the police not hit him because he was in a bronco!!!! If he had a jeep they would have crashed him out 😂
All I'm hearing is that you just got a jeep with a Ford emblem and you are just trying to convince yourself that it not a poor man's jeep..and all the things you were complaining about have been updated with the new 24 model
Almost $100,000 for a jeep! Unbelievable. I used to love the old jeeps I had. Rugged and reliable. I would not be caught dead in one today. Lol. Glad you’re stuck with the Broncos Krista. Give chewi a scratch behind the ear for me.🐶
I was considering buying a bronco until it came out that it actually was built off the Ranger platform. which means they did not put their heart and soul into it. The original bronco was built from the ground up. Ford drop the ball. All I see on the hard trails are independent front suspension failing no matter how hard you try to strengthen it.
I agree the Jeep is better for rock crawling style off-roading. But let's be intellectually honest here people. Out of your all your miles driving what % is hardcore rock crawling and what % is on paved roads and forest service roads?
@@AnandSingh-mt1xq That's probably true not everyone lives in Moab. But to all those people like "mY jEeP cAn rOcK cRaWl bEtTeR" how often do they actually do it? I'd rather have a rig that can go nearly anyplace a Jeep can, but drive better at speed on forest roads, better handling, and be more comfortable doing it.
clearly you have no idea of offroading.. you should do makeup kit comparison. Just take it to the trail and you would know why Jeep is better.

I agree that Bronco sales have really pushed the Jeep to improvise and release features that they were sleeping on
Also, there are a lot more comparison points like ease of removing doors between the 2, gas mileage (since its a daily driver) etc etc.
I suggest looking into the cream I recommend in the description.
Go jeep.
☺️☺️
Rofl this comment is classic
I would rather like both than hating one or the other!
you truly are a Bronco Babe.
Always :)
(Regretted it)
Bought the wife a Bronco. Perfect for her and how she is gonna drive it.
Goat modes don’t teach you how to drive, but it Programs the tachometer to REV high in sport mode giving me boost faster 😄
the goat is not a gimmick.

I just agreed with you... you convinced us 💯
My favorite answer MUSTANG
Yes 👍🏼 🙌🏼
LOL the Jeep won't be in the shop for months and months waiting for recalled parts. Look how many recalls the Bronco has!!! Ford should include free AAA for every Bronco purchase!
You must have forgotten about the Jeep recalls for them catching fire, silly boy!
@@BuckleUpButtercupTV
Recall was for manual trans. Also check your lugnuts-Factory didn't torque them!
BTW, we just had to return the jeep to the dealership for the expansion bottle failing and leaking coolant… it had 5k miles. So there’s that too.
Great review all these keep people swear they off-road so much but, I see many are just daily drivers lol. Plus they are all over the place and don’t stand out like the bronco does. Hell, OJ made the police not hit him because he was in a bronco!!!! If he had a jeep they would have crashed him out 😂
😂😂😂😂

You’re silly Kyla!
All I'm hearing is that you just got a jeep with a Ford emblem and you are just trying to convince yourself that it not a poor man's jeep..and all the things you were complaining about have been updated with the new 24 model

Bronco did it best! I love my bronco!
Woo!!
😂
OMG girl learn about the Jeeps before you compare
and if you go off road with a bronco , your likely to snap a tie rod
You should really look into this: amzn.to/41Y8Hy1
Almost $100,000 for a jeep! Unbelievable. I used to love the old jeeps I had. Rugged and reliable. I would not be caught dead in one today. Lol. Glad you’re stuck with the Broncos Krista. Give chewi a scratch behind the ear for me.🐶
Chewi agrees with my decision:)
I was considering buying a bronco until it came out that it actually was built off the Ranger platform. which means they did not put their heart and soul into it. The original bronco was built from the ground up. Ford drop the ball. All I see on the hard trails are independent front suspension failing no matter how hard you try to strengthen it.
Jeep looks like a 1940 Ford Jeep
😂
I agree the Jeep is better for rock crawling style off-roading. But let's be intellectually honest here people. Out of your all your miles driving what % is hardcore rock crawling and what % is on paved roads and forest service roads?
With that logic, any awd small crossover should suffice. Being honest here
@@AnandSingh-mt1xq That's probably true not everyone lives in Moab.
But to all those people like "mY jEeP cAn rOcK cRaWl bEtTeR" how often do they actually do it? I'd rather have a rig that can go nearly anyplace a Jeep can, but drive better at speed on forest roads, better handling, and be more comfortable doing it.
