They had some success with Sway and were on their way in America, but record company troubles put paid to that. Everyone seems to forget they were going since 1989, and had a pretty decent album in 1990.
Well done for saying this - you’ve great taste✌️ - plenty bands never got airplay here never mind the US. Check out Mover: Tricolore, the bluetones : Slight return ✌️💚🤟
I'm proud to say that they're one of the best British bands of all time, way underrated in my humble opinion. Their album cover for Moseley Shoals was taken at the Jephsons Gardens in Royal Leamington Spa, that monument was a brilliant cover option. Me and my brother used to shout into that monument for echos and such when we were kids and I vividly remember OCS being there in the Jephsons, it was cordoned off for the photo shoot.. Me and my brother were well pissed off lol. But looking at what was being achieved I solemnly take it back.. Fucking awesome band
Most underated band ever. I Love you Ocean Colour Scene!. Your Talent is miles ahead of the drivel that we have been drip fed for a couple of decades. You know, World Peace can be accomplished if every human in the world was exposed to their music. I want to see a 2021 Explosion of Ocean Colour Scene upon the world. Come on Guy's. You's can do it. Time to power up and go big because your music is too important not to be heard. You are The Beatles of the 1990s/2010s and Onwards...... 💜
This always has been and always will be our go to happy song, thank you lads from the bottom of our hearts for all the beautiful music, concerts and memories and may it long continue for you ❤️🙏🏻
No one touches OCS at the barrowlands. Not even the stone roses or oasis or any other gig ive been to at the barrowlands, roll on december. Keep gigging
@@divanderson58 Very true bud, Ive been to hundreds of gigs and the barrowlands cant be touched, altho madison square gardens is pretty special too but as a glasgow boy the barrowlands is the best, just hope the ocs december gigs still happens but looks all gigs will be cancelled this yr, sad face
Kitchen linoleum floor + bottle of baby powder + my favorite outfit = I have to say, this remains my number 1 favorite song to dance to of ALL TIME. It just feels SOOOO good dancing to this song, the music overwhelms me and I become that guy in the red striped shirt...lol Pure magic.
I always think OCS has left a very important piece of memories in Britpop history, they might not be as popular as those britpop mega band like Oasis Blur Suede Radiohead, but OCS always gave me a impression of being full blown British, whether it’s sounds or looks
musically and technically I think they were actually the best of their era.....them or radiohead....I was an oasis nutjob in those years, and at the time, they were my favourite....until one day I seen OCS Live, blur are right up there, they probably have my favourite song from back then....there's no other way,..... I barely even noticed suede at the time, just didn't do anything for me
Top tune!!! I discovered all the mod scene in my earlies 20´s and its fantastic soul, jamaican rocksteady and jazz music around this movement cos them! for that I will always be grateful
A sign of a good band is releasing a single and the b-side tracks are better than most bands A-Sides. Loved OCS since stumbling into a Tower Records and hearing The Day We Caught the Train on their in-house playlist. Grabbed Moseley Shoals and never looked back(or they would have caught me in the parking lot...lol). Through thick and thin I stick by my lads. OCS.
We all were so lucky at that time. We had so many great bands around that time. Should hopefully happen again soon. No more of this bs from the pop rejects. Time for rock and indie bands from the uk to get their spark back.
I really do not understand the reason why this official ocs page and there tunes have so little views. I could go and buy a leopard print corsa 2moro and do an unsuccessful video how to change a tyre with kitchen utensils and it would get more views in a week. Mental
It gets said a lot amoungst OCS fans but they really are the most underrated band ever. They should of been so much bigger than they were. I think the people who know really love them though.
The view count is an absolute insult...one of the best 90's Indie Tracks and not far off the best ( The Charlatan's - Tellin' Stories BTW ). You can come at me on that but the lyric's to Tellin' Stories back it the fcuk up. Get this track playing in your car, crank it up and try not to smile/sing along...

Good old Northern Soul dancing with bowling shoes . Who said Mods are a thing of the 60s? This band was pure Mod'ism in the 90's
Fantastic song ,great band ,the northern soul tempo just makes it even better
one of the most underated bands of all time! true legends!
Love this band. They got absolutely zero play in the US during their heyday. Thank God for UA-cam!
They had airplay with "You've Got It Bad" and toured the US in 1996.
They had some success with Sway and were on their way in America, but record company troubles put paid to that.
Everyone seems to forget they were going since 1989, and had a pretty decent album in 1990.

British bands have very rare airplay in us.

Magnificent band, so under appreciated, with the equally wonderful PP Arnold on backing vocals.

What a tune! Fantastic band.
Such a beautiful song made by a legend
Just take me back to the barrowlands bouncing to my favourite tune. Ah the 90s were such fun
