@Black Coffee Now um why are you here commenting on this if that’s what you think 😂 Moseley shoals is without a doubt one of the best albums of the nineties and OCS are still my favourite band to this day 😎
Favourite song of theirs! Top top band of the 90s, right up there with Oasis, Manics, The Verve, Blur, Cast. Why can't we have Brit Pop again, music is not the same nowadays.
I must thank to MTV Brazil to let me know this amazing band. Once I've heard the riverboat song, around my 15 years, it caught me lightspeed. I had to import moseley shoals, as no local seal brought this album to Brazil in those days.
My favourite band of the 90's and the original version of the day we caught the train on the album mosley sholes was my favourite song. He had a tremendous voice and they had many great songs. Oasis and the Verve were class too, but there was something about his voice that I loved, plus everyone else was Oasis supporters and I was pretty rebellious and although I loved Oasis too, I stand by Ocean Colour Scene as my favourite. We some magnificent bands in the 90's and we were extremely lucky to witness them. The stone roses were amazing and class but they were out a little earlier, and Primal Scream were class as well, we were spoiled for choice of great music in the late 80's and 90's
Steve has always got better on guitar, vocally too, he puts in a great shift no matter what. Can't say the same for Jim Davidso...I mean Simon Fowler, his voice is awful here imo, it's understandable that huskiness will come with age, but man there was a lot of flat notes and he really struggled with power.
@@chrishammond8634 ya not wrong. I was just abit confused and musically naive at the time wondering why it sounded different 😆😆. Ended up buying the single cd as well
This is my favourite. This song reminds me of driving around the kent and East Sussex coast of England in the summer of 96 with my beautiful, then girlfriend Katie L❤💚💙❤✌
What a summer that was mate. Euro 96 and a hot British summer. So much positivity and hope in the air. The rave scene as well as the amazing British music scene in general. God I wish we could go back.
@@tonymorph3672 loved 96, I saw ocean colour scene support oasis at Maine road in what was a legendary gig. Euro 96 bought the country together, every night 😊seemed balmy, Manchester (where I’m from) was buzzing still and there was a sense of hope in the air. Oh how, as a country,we could do with a bit of that now.
Some people ridiculed that performance They are legends imagine a life without ocean colour scene if they never produced day we caught the train would have been a void in music folklore
Love OCS and seen them live several times but this was never one of my favourites. Robin Hood and better day take me straight back to being a teenager in the 90s. They haven’t got a bad song though to be fair.
What a voice. my fav band of the 90s....so underrated. god i miss the 90s
I’ve heard they could be doing a comeback soon
@@dave8484able they did a few shows last month and this month, but did not play down south where i am
@@mattclark7634 I went to a gig in Coventry last night with Andrew Bennett, Bev Bevan from ELO and Jasper Carrot. It was fantastic.
@@dave8484able I love Jasper Carrot! A very funny and very nice guy. i would of loved to have been there
@@dave8484able oh please no.. 😭
Oh 1996 how I miss you!
Please come back. I promise I can change 💙
One of the very best Albums of the 90s, and there was a lot of competition.
@Black Coffee Now It was. Next.
@Black Coffee Now Stand out tracks galore. Great album. Music is subjective - so I can't have beige taste.
@Black Coffee Now Thanks buddy. I'll go listen to Moseley Shoals 😏
@Black Coffee Now If we all had the same tastes the world would be a very boring place

Absolute legend great singer great songwriter
One of the few bands from the 90s who were talented.
Still doing it in the original key as well. What a voice.
We need bands like these 1000%
absolutely we do, dont know whats happened to music in the past 10 years
@@NathanDarbyshire-d7icheck out the Tannens, they got some great tunes like Remington Steele and Innsmouth look.

Can never get enough of these guys been a massive fan and follower for years
Superb live, as always.
Wow what a voice
Love his voice ❤❤
How 4ckin great is this. For me it’s 28 years later from the first time.
I did not appreciate the 1990s enough. What a decade
Steve is amazing now on the guitar. Every note is the best it can be. Simon sounds good - huskier but the best singer I've seen live easily.

What a great great tune we are the mods
One of my favorite songs as a youth. Gutted when the record guy sold me the album with this as acoustic.
Freerides is an absolute beast of an album though.

British sound of the 90s 😎.
❤ when i was a teen i played this song so much my neighbours complained
I lost my virginity playing this album, on this song

Top banderas of the 90's Cradock best guitar ever
Seen them twice unreal band don't preform like these guys anymore nowadays
When did Mike Brewer become the singer of OCS?
UGHH! I didn't need the reminder that Chris Evans exists at the end there
I knew those high notes were really hard to get. Still got it though 🤘🏼
Pure emotion boys fucking belter
How come Elton’s singing lead? What have they done with Simon??
😂😂😂😂
coming to kings lynn festival in july 🎉😊 completely free

100%
what a song. if the beatles wrote this no one would be surprised
I really wish i hadn't seen the link😢
When did Jim Davidson join the band?
"I never saw it as the start". I did. I saw it as the start of the end of this guys voice 🤣
Man his voice is a shadow of what it once was😔
He's 56 now. I looked and was like.... woah! 🤣
I wouldn't say so. Even back then the high parts of this song were hard on him. I think he sounds pretty amazing.
Still sounds great
Looks like booze has taken its toll
I take it the train he caught was the gravy train?
Looks a bit rough does the lead singer looks like he over done the booze
True
And the pies.
Tell the camera man to show all in closeup
Superb 🫡

Lol but harsh
Sorry to say, they are slightly murdering that....!
