had this song at my dads funeral, such a beautiful song, he use to play this when he was stoned with his best mate, just sitting there loving life, thankyou so much for your music, will have to come watch you live when covid goes away, thankyou
Sat here. A 41yr old EnglishMAN living in Spain remembering loving this band so much. I had such great taste even at 14. I am who I am because of songs and bands like this. What a time to be alive it was during the 90s and 80s..... I hope one day I get to pay respects
Excactly my thoughts, love OCS rock and more basic nostalgic sorta stuff as much as well, but this surely has worldwide hit potential. I bet even my mom would put volume up on car radio if she knew this. Yet few people have an ides it exists. Shocking! Another proof how music business ruins artistry and is marketing completely wrong tunes.
I love this song so much it's massively underrated..the singer's are both so talented and amazing ...just got to say the drummer is really epic!! Got to listen again.
Oh this song is a BEAUTIFUL thing..... I just melt and travel back in time everytime I listen to it. Ah the memories!!! Bittersweet for all the right reasons... 👏👏👏💋💋💋
left the uk for OZ in 95 and my brother sent me a copy of moseley shoals in early 96 with a note telling me to give this a crack! been hooked ever since ! brilliant band that i listen to daily
Saw these guys 15 years ago in Galway some old club that's been closed down since. Been listening to them for 20 years. Still love their music after all that time.
David Potkins I genuinely believe it’s due to the vast amount of decent music that was around at that time. It was more than just music. It was the clothes, the scene, the politics and oasis blazing a trail.
Crikey - the contrast between their two voices at the start... Goose bumps, followed by a lump in the fricking throat! Followed by clicking back to the start and hearing it again :) :) :)
Sonny went and flipped away And said he had to go How could you ever say He never stayed alone And how could I belong With anyone you know Come on every lines A line I’ll never know Oooh its a beautiful thing Oooh its a terrible thing Sometimes I can get along alone enough Backing everyone away and never have enough And how could I be playing every line for you Look at the things today that I can never choose Oooh its a beautiful thing Oooh its a terrible thing Sometimes I could never ever ever fade again Sometimes I could never ever ever fade again Sometimes I could never ever ever fade again And how could I be playing every line for you Look at the things today that I can never choose Oooh its a beautiful thing Oooh its a terrible thing
Grew up with OCS. One of my favourite bands ever. Ah, to be 14 again, playing acoustic and going to Berwick with my mates, getting pissed and stoned haha. Besides seaside's and free rides!
I love this band , I always did , and I always will .. .. They are a part of who I am .. .. I love you all for loving them .. .. What a fuckin' band !! What a ride , What a time !!!!!!
Round my way most of the lads were into Oasis, followed by Blur. I was the standout and was well into OCS. Utterly awesome. Loved seeing them live in Manchester with Martha and the Vandellas and was right at the front. Brilliant, brilliant show. Love it
The most underrated band. How the bloody hell was Oasis and Blur bigger than OCS? I will never understand that, NEVER!!!! ♥️🇬🇧♥️ I'm 62 and have loved music since I was 8yrs old when I bought my first record which was Free 'Alright Now'. I might be oldish (25yrs old in my Heart & Soul), but I've always had the best taste in music and know musical talent. ♥️🇬🇧♥️
Music is never about “bigness”. S club 7, spice girls, etc were huge at the time. Many amazing artists never get passed playing in pubs. But good music is good music regardless of fame.
I am 39 now going to see ocs since I was 14 the best bad ever still go to see them every time they play in Ireland there like the best friends I never got to meet and have a chat with. Simon last year looked rough really hope he's OK so we can still enjoy the magic of ocs live shows got me through a lot of shit times and still bang on the songs still today not forgetting Steve and Oscar
I first heard ocean colour scene at my mates house 🏠 around 1996 and I was mindblown, I admit I was stoned off my head at the time but I've listened to them ever since, probably one of the best bands I've ever heard.
Agree with the comments about under rated. They were always on the duke box in our local pub. Got played many times on a recovery Sunday afternoon back in the day.
I don't care what anybody thinks, this is the most underrate band of the 90's
"The most underrated (whatever)" makes it not possible to take comments seriously, kid.
Defo
For me it's Oasis, then OCS ✌🏻✌🏻 best bands of the 90s.
Although the 90s was just the best decade for bands and music in general.
They were never underrated. Always brilliant.
I so agree x
2023 and still absolutely outrageous and spine chilling. What a masterpiece
had this song at my dads funeral, such a beautiful song, he use to play this when he was stoned with his best mate, just sitting there loving life, thankyou so much for your music, will have to come watch you live when covid goes away, thankyou
RIP to your dad, he had taste x
RIP to you're old man I know he was the salt of the earth x
Your old man was cool ASF

I'm in Valencia thinking exactly the same
@@blip2012ToonI love your beautiful country ❤❤❤ and folk ❤❤❤
The most underrated band of all time. Could listen to Simons voice all day long. Genius
100 percent, love them and saw them live December 2022 in Bristol, Simon still delivers, he was awesome whole band was..pure talent..
This has got to be one of the most under-appreciated songs of all time!
Especially that verse starting from 0:52
I was just sitting thing the exact same my friend 🍻
Excactly my thoughts, love OCS rock and more basic nostalgic sorta stuff as much as well, but this surely has worldwide hit potential. I bet even my mom would put volume up on car radio if she knew this.

This ^^

One of the most underrated bands love them
No words to describe how much I love this duet ❤️ 2 of the finest voices together and so much emotion I could never get tired of it 🥰
Thank you Ocean colour scene for getting me through a pretty bad time. Your music has a way of doing that. Thank you
Absolutely my favourite band in history. Grew up in the mid 90’s and these were the pinnacle of my youth! To have 1 more week at that age!
There are no words to express how magnificent it is.
the song title....
but I get you, it's spectacular
Oh this song is a BEAUTIFUL thing..... I just melt and travel back in time everytime I listen to it. Ah the memories!!! Bittersweet for all the right reasons... 👏👏👏💋💋💋

Love this. My girlfriend had this playing when we first met in 98'. That same beautiful girl I am happily married to now
Until now I had never seen the video for this brilliant song. Today has been a very good day.
One of the best songs ever written. Fight me if you want but I'll never change my mind
Saw these guys 15 years ago in Galway some old club that's been closed down since. Been listening to them for 20 years. Still love their music after all that time.
Upstairs in Cuba
Fantastic song - thank you PP Arnold for giving this tune such a fabulous voice and depth
Still sounds brilliant in 2020 👍
Sounds perfect in 2020
This will never stop sounding perfect. It's real.
Always been perfection 🤘😎
Even better in 2021
Her voice... 🤤🤤😍
I'm just so amazed why this is not the one of the best band's of the '90s.
David Potkins
I genuinely believe it’s due to the vast amount of decent music that was around at that time.
It was more than just music. It was the clothes, the scene, the politics and oasis blazing a trail.
But they are? Mosley shoals sold masses and those first three songs are like 90s anthems, don't think it's fair to say that they're not up there.
Me too, very disappointed
They are of the best bands of the 90's....
they were......
The first minute of this song is absolutely beautiful
I agree thank you ocs you have touched my life more than you know. Thank you for your art
This is proper music even still to this day the lyrics resonate with life true geniuses and they didn’t even have to try it was just who they are👌🏻
Still love OCS and the hair of my neck are standing up when listening to her voice - thank you so much for this beautiful song!
Also one of the most under rated duets ever and unlikely but magical song!!⭐
One off the most underated bands off the past years it's a shame there latest albums are really good
Not underated my friend, just not main stream, seen them 4 times, awesome 👍
Most kids have shit music taste unfortunately
⭐️ I've loved everything by Them & seen them stacks of Times in Birmingham 🌙
Crikey - the contrast between their two voices at the start... Goose bumps, followed by a lump in the fricking throat! Followed by clicking back to the start and hearing it again :) :) :)
Michael Roberts I feel the same way!! Its just PERFECT, A BEAUTIFUL THING... 😍😍😍😍👏👏👏👏💋💋💋
This.....this is the answer to life, the universe, everything....this song is life: a beautiful and terrible thing...
Classic, one of the best of the 90's
Sonny went and flipped away
And said he had to go
How could you ever say
He never stayed alone
And how could I belong
With anyone you know
Come on every lines
A line I’ll never know
Oooh its a beautiful thing
Oooh its a terrible thing
Sometimes I can get along alone enough
Backing everyone away and never have enough
And how could I be playing every line for you
Look at the things today that I can never choose
Oooh its a beautiful thing
Oooh its a terrible thing
Sometimes I could never ever ever fade again
Sometimes I could never ever ever fade again
Sometimes I could never ever ever fade again
And how could I be playing every line for you
Look at the things today that I can never choose
Oooh its a beautiful thing
Oooh its a terrible thing
Thank you ❤
I hadn’t heard this for probably 20 years, I’d forgotten just how wonderful a record this was, and, still is. Cheers OCS!x
Absolutely gorgeous amazing song loved it first time I ever heard it. Just amazing every time you hear it! It’s an underrated classic.
Quite simply their finest song !!!!!

One of my favourite songs of all time. Brilliant song!!!

The best song from my childhood!

Only as I look back I realise how fortunate I was to be a teenager/early 20's through late 90's and early 2000's 👍😀🎧🎶
The most underrated band. How the bloody hell was Oasis and Blur bigger than OCS?
