When making picture frames or boxes it can be beneficial to add splines in the corners, this not only enhances the look but provides some needed strength in what can be a weak joint. There are a few ways you can make the cuts for the splines, you can use a router, the table saw or even cut them by hand. Here I’m building a very simple jig for the table saw to make the spline cuts.
