Someone sent me a whatsapp thing saying I won something. With your profile pic just letting you know. I'm pretty positive it's fake. But Still wish it wasnt
@@brandonrogers3653 definitely fake. My comments are highlighted and have checkmark
Thank you for confirming that for me! But also thank you so much for the video's! They help out so much
and how much the difference in blooming between these two TVs is visible for me, this is important
Hai handsome 🥰😍
I just purchased the purchased the XR-85X90K and I love it. I had the A80J OLED for a little more than a year before and I don't notice any lack of clarity on this new LED set compared to the previous one. Maybe a slightly greyer black in certain scenes of certain movies with this one but overall it's just as clear and brighter. Those people that say LEDs are old and dead are sorely mistaken if you ask me. It really comes down to a matter of preference and what types of content you watch (streaming channels, gaming, blu-ray discs, cable channels, SDR vs. HDR, etc.) If you have the money and can afford an 85" OLED be my guest and get one. More power to you but there is nothing wrong at all with a high quality LED such as the XR85X90K.
Lol, your so right if you have the money then go for it but if you watch what you spend and do your research it'll be money well spent. Most everyone wants one of the best and who doesn't but this price for X95K is a little to steep for
Do you still have the A80J OLED? Would you say the X90K is comparable or is the A80J still noticeably/significantly ahead?
@@druid2538 I had both and went for the X90K. Certain things had better clarity and the tint was better on ice and animal fur, for a few examples. Brighter. No fear of burn in, can watch subtitles all day or news tickers with no fear of burn in. I returned the Oled.
Exactly and ur gonna feel like a clown spending 6-8k when they are half the price in a few years lol
@@Tucker1796 Yeah, definitely plus LED is more picture realistic. I think OLED and QLED look too cartoonish.
Thanks for your excellent video comparison between these two Sony TVs. I especially appreciate your evaluation of upscaling performance, image processing, and motion handling. These factors are often given too little emphasis in TV reviews, but they make a very significant difference in how well the TV produces a lifelike picture. (By the way, the commercial you created for Harry's was great - and I'm not fibbing when I say that it was one of the first times I was inspired to watch an ad on UA-cam all the way through from beginning to end. Harry's should hire you to appear in their TV spots.)
I pay for UA-cam Premium to avoid commercials, so any of them are unwelcome!
I'm a oled man but I have seen these tvs In person and they are amazing tvs incredible comparison Brian.
Glad you mentioned about watching "regular tv" (cable). There are those who buy TV just for this purpose and are not interested in watching 4K HDR demo movies on YT/ Netflix or only watching them occasionally. Most of the time using tv for cable signal. Almost any modern tv will display a good picture in 4k, but not everyone will display a decent picture in SD or HD resolution. Therefore such comparisons are important not only in 4K.
Sony and LG have the best upscaling processing of lower quality content followed by Samsung. The worst is Hisense
👍⭐✅That's exactly what I'm looking for in a review that includes a SD cable or antenna signal test because if it shows excellent quality in the rest of 4k and HDR it will always be better
Demo Videos? All new shows on netflix / Prime etc. are 4K HDR. Who watches still SD seriously lol
Exactly right.
Love this comment. After two weeks of watching and reading tv reviews I’m starting to think “videophiles” exclusively watch 4k demo vids on a loop lmao
I have a 65" X90K and am very happy with it. It's in my mancave and can easily adjust the light in the room so I guess I can benefit on that alone.
I have a x95K best tv I’ve owned hands down
Thank you, I had bought the K90K and I was left with the doubt regarding the quality of the K95K and I see that I did well, there is no difference in general and yes, in the price
My brother and I bought the Sony 65" X95K for our father. The reasons we decided for the X95K is that its one of the top of the line TVs for 2022 and getting him to upgrade things like TVS is not an easy task, its Mini-LED and not OLED, something my father might find a way to accidently burn in or disconnect the power while its on, something I hear is not a great thing to do with OLEDs. The Sony X95K is good for a bright room, and viewing angles are pretty good and, my father complains about dark scenes so this TV should do better than his old 50" Vizio M501d A2R(Tv we bought him around 2012), and perhaps one of the biggest reasons is that this TV is able to be put in Basic mode! This is a must for a non techy elderly parent who struggles with technology but still has to use technology. I wish someone would do a quick video clip of basic mode.
Just got the 75 - X90K for about a week now. I love it and totally satisfied with the picture quality.
How about black in dark room have clouding like lcd has
Thank you for this and all your videos! I decided on the 75” X90K because at this time it’s about $1400 cheaper than both the A80J ad the X95K. With the amount of TV viewing I do, the additional cost couldn’t be justified. But videos like yours have enabled people like me to make decisions like this with a level of knowledge we’d otherwise not have. Thanks!
How is it with glair?
hows the viewing angles
@@DonnDonn799 Very good. I haven't measured them but I can easily seen the screen at about 60+ degrees. I typically sit pretty much head on so viewing angles haven't been a concern for me.
@@brendonnorris6831 I haven't experienced a problem. I normally have my room at normal to slightly low illumination levels, and even with the adjacent sliding door I haven't had an issue.
I agree. Just got the 75 inch x90k. And no complains. Mini leds and oleds are expensive if getting a 75 or 85.
I just bought my x90k yesterday. 55" wall mounted. It's in a pretty naturally well lit area, and I haven't really had any issues with glare. To be honest, the blacks are amazing, I don't know what the hell people are talking about when they say LED TVs can't perform as well as OLED. I saw OLED side by side with my TV and it was almost exactly the same, I found OLED to over saturate the colours to the point where it was unnatural. Very happy with my purchase.
I prefer LED to OLED my lg cx is great but it's pretty hard on the eyes
Satisfied with my 75" x90ck too & i got the back-lit remote with a free 7 year warranty from costco...got it right in time for the extra 2 years of coverage for purchasing with the costco citi card which they have stopped doing now👍🏻
@@Rammer_Jammer thanks for the info that's awesome I'll def be picking this up for tekken 8 glad it's affordable too I usually have paid more for less
@@Rammer_Jammer fantastic deal! How much did you pay for it?
@@mushi_k $1450 that's with the tax included
The comparison of reflections should have also compared off axis picture quality because the X95k is likely to have a significant relative improvement. So why does that matter? It matters when sitting positions are off axis or close up.
I have the X95K in my living room, we have 2 large windows (36"x60") of the opposite wall from the TV and I have no problem with glare. The X95K can get really bright so I always looks great regardless if it's night or day. I was going for the X90K at first but decided to buy the X95K instead because of the anti-glare and also it looks more premium that the X90K. I'm super happy with my purchase and my family loves this TV. Also look at financing options.
What size? How was it compared to QN90B?
How does it handle Subtitles. I've seen a lot of reviews saying it has insane amounts of blooming for subs. So I'm interested on knowing if it's as bad as they say it is.
@@zTxETERNAL just don’t watch QuantumTV lol
@@zTxETERNAL idk if true, but is it really a problem??
@@mickeyneo4228 90% of the content i consume has subtitles so if indeed the tv has blooming it affects me big time.
You can actually raise the X90K as well. You just have to take the two stands apart and raise it. The two stands have screws you can remove and adjust the stands. I raised my X90K to make room for my soundbar. 👍🏻
how do you like the X90K?
@@michael-4k4000 I really like it man. I didn’t know at the time you have to change the resolution for the hdmi ports to get the 4K UHD but once i did that the detail is amazing man
@@tarpontime7562 oh, not sure why you would have to do that. What size didu get?
@@michael-4k4000 I got the 55. It’s my understanding that only 2 of the hdmi ports come preset for the 4K uhd and the other two come default at 1080 I believe. But it was easy to do in the settings menu.
As someone who has nevered owned less than a 75" GET THE 85" ITS The VERY BEST Money I Have EVER Spent. HOWEVER, I am a huge TV Watcher. Retired, spend too much time watching BUT I HAVE NEVER REGRETTED THE 75 and Sure as Heck not the 85!
Either TV is good enough for me because I have both Miniled and non Miniled FALD TV's. Miniled is a touch brighter but with the right settings you can boost the brightness up on the FALD TV's.
Wow, super helpful dude, great review as I've been debating on x90k over a mini led due to price point(expensive in Canada lol) and now I know for sure I'm making the right choice for a dark room with a ps5
Thanks man!👍👌
Furlong! I'm a Furlong too cool
its helpful, but I have no idea which one to get, they both seem great!
Fantastic comparison, thank you!
Nice comparison. Honestly the X90K is close to the X95K and for a fraction of the price I think it's a good buy.
Do you think X95K is between an X90K and Z9J?
Yep. UA-cam reviewers ALWAYS want to tell you the most expensive TV is way better. They might as well be Best Buy salesman. Or maybe they are.
I ended up getting the x90k 75”, the price of the x95k just doesn’t make sense.
@@BookClubDisaster They get paid to say that, and they want to continue getting that brand sent to them for the positive review.
@@BookClubDisaster i got the X95k at 85 inches. Expensive is better.
Man you just blew my mind running Virtual Japan's content as a demo lol 😲VJ going global now 🌏
I think you're right, Sony will keep updating firmware till they get it as perfect as it can be.
TCLs 65 825 mini led set had horrible local dimming in anything but high and about a year in to my ownership they dropped a major update that pretty much fixed it.
I ended up upgrading to the monster Z9K and I'm loving it. The best HDR performance I have ever seen, ridiculously bright, and fantastic black levels.
Mine got the latest vrr update before they pulled it and I just tried playing a old game through my Shield and Steam and it was super smooth at 4k resolution. Other owners are complaining about how bad games look but their newer sets didn't get the update.
The X95k is 80 percent of the picture quality of the Z9K for a lot less money so if you want Sonys best features without 8k and slightly less maximum brightness it's a excellent choice.
You do pay the Sony tax and for many it's just not worth it.
I do see some blooming in certain situations but it is minor and the overall quality of the picture makes up for it. It looks like 3d and you are there in person when it gets a high bitrate 1080p or higher video and HDR is just something to marvel at on it.
Excellent comparison...I'm looking at the 85" size for a large living room. I think Sony put too much of a premium on the X95K, it's hard to justify buying it at a DOUBLE the price of the 85" X90K. As of 11/11/22 the 90K is $1999 and the 95K is $3999.
This is my same thoughts. I really was going to go with X95k over the X90k but the price is what has me out on the limb. If it would come down to 2500.00 for the holidays I would definitely go with the X95K. I do have a dark room so I shouldn't have a glaring problem but you don't know for sure. Also if you have table lamps on and how much reflection will I get off them. I had a Sony before and had to shut off lights in the room couldn't stand the reflection.
@@joesoika2628 a 1,500 additional price drop is completely ridiculous. Saying the 95k is only worth $500 more than the 90k is completely laughable. It's at minimum twice the TV if you look at them side by side in person. The x90k literally looks like it has a grey screen filter when compared next to the. 85 X95k.
At very most it could do with a $500 price drop to bring it in line with the 90k. That being said the 85 x95k is easily twice the TV when viewed in person.
For that matter this review really doesn't apply to the 85 and the local dimming zone count is massively upgraded as well as it's a completely different panel all together.
Yeah not a big difference for your eyes but a big difference for your wallet lol.
@@airzoomhuarache yeah. It's only a big difference visually when you look at them. If you don't look at it you can hardly tell the difference
Thank you for the comparison and information. I’m in the 90k camp. I can’t justify the cost difference since my room is dark and I can control the light.
Thank you, Brandon, for another fantastic comparison video!
Your Reviews and Your TEST!!! Are MUCH Better Than UA-cams Highest Rated TV Reviewer Who Has Like 3 or 4 Million Subscribers! KEEP THIS UP!!!!!
2:30, the backlit, metal-topped remote comes with the CK series of TVs including the: X90CK, X95CK, A80CK, and A90CK.
The 'C' stands for 'Club' meaning places like Costco and Sam's Club.
Bought the 85 inch x90k full array. It has an awesome picture and the samsung sound bar and subwoofer sound outstanding with the 120hz arc
Thanks for the helpful video!
You can extend the height of the x90k. You just unscrew the brackets and move them up and then install it into tv.
Just bought the x90K. Haven't opened it yet. But x95 does cost a lot more. I'm happy with my purchase
Definitely prefer the anti reflection treatment on the X95K! Have a 65" X95K that I picked up for $2,000. I feel like it's a very fair price for how well this set performs. The color depth is amazing!
The 65 is $1799.99 at your local best buy
U8H has better color, darker blacks and a lot less blooming for $900
@@skolvikings5263 The X90K is $999 not too. Some good deals for potential buyers.
@@skolvikings5263 Sure said the TROLL. Too funny. Even the X90K all day any day wipes the U8H. The U8H may excel slightly in a few minor things, but nothing major and nothing that matters. The X95K is 2 leagues above your TV. LOL
@@skolvikings5263 I saw that the Hisense had problems with pretty grey looking letterbars on top and bottom. Also gaming issues.
A couple of things to note:
-X90K only has wide set legs, but it can either be low profile or soundbar height.
-Number buttons are still available using the "123" button on the remote
-According to Rtings, the X95K has different numbers of dimming zones depending on size.
Soundbar height option is what I was concerned about. Video stated it had only the lower option
@@croozer30ify it would be market suicide to build a large TV without the ability to accommodate a soundbar.
I know a ton of folks wish Sony had more center stand options.
X90K has Soundbar and Narrow Stand
@@danielvidovic9972 No sir, the two positions for the X90K are either soundbar height, or lower to the table. The X95K has those two options as well as a center option.
The only current Sony TVs with a center option are the X95K, the A80K, and the 83" A90J.
So the 75 inch 90k only has the wide stand position? No inner stand position?
I recently bought the 85” X90CK at Costco, free 2 day delivery, free 5 year Allstate warranty and a custom remote for $2500 ish including tax. I have no complaints, the picture is stunning. No way the mini-led is worth DOUBLE the price. But I’m sure it’s also an excellent tv if you have the money.
Get a price adjustment on the 85" x90ck at Costco. Will be $1999.99 starting October 31.
Great comparison 👍👍
I think the A90J also comes with the backlit remote and is compatible with the A80J as well, among others
I am looking at purchasing the X90K 75inch. I currently have a Sony 60 inch that’s 12 years old. Still works fine. Just an upgrade.
Amazes me how long Sony's last. Mine is 13 years old. Only a 32 inch Bravia XBR-9. Its never missed a beat.
Great review Mr Installer. I like both of these options. I actually have a 13 year old 32 inch Sony Bravia XBR9 that is about 13 years old. Hasn't missed a beat. Doesn't of course have all the bells and whistles of modern day but that classic Sony picture is there. I love it. I watch tv in my living room which has four windows and so it can get bright sometimes but,,,,,, I also have an invention thats many years old. Window shades and shutters :). I like watching in dark rooms :) They are of course instant glare killers and make tv life much easier. I will be watching the black Friday sales. I might get a 55 inch television. I will stick with Sony. Just not sure which model yet. Sports is the priority here. Along with Star Trek . Have an awesome Thanksgiving.
would really like to see you or fomo do a side by side with the x95k and the A80k. since they are similar size and price.
Thanks for your videos.. Recently, my wife got the sunny X 95/55.. it is so real that you can almost be 3-D.. I miss when Sonny used to have XBR models so you can easily follow them.. now with so many variety of models you get confused and so many TVs. But for the money and the quality, the X95 .. you go away, you pay for
Nice upload, can I ask your recommendation, I currently own a Samsung Q9FN, for 4 years now and I am thinking of changing should I wait or is there a worthwhile replacement for my current model thank you.
I have a 65X90K on order that is a Sony warranty replacement for my 65X90CH that I got for under $1000 2 years ago, so I can't complain.
Great comparison. It’s a shame that the mini-led technology itself doesn’t really bring much performance advantage over their FALD, except for getting brighter. Significantly improved blooming control would/should be expected for the price difference. And what ever happened to Sony’s “Backlight Master Drive” that was being hyped up? It’s been crickets since launch, probably because it’s not bring much to the table. It seems that the advantages of the x95K over the x90K are things that have nothing to do with the mini-led tech: anti reflective coating, better speakers, better build quality, and maybe a cleaner screen more often. At the very least, given the lack of performance boost for the price Sony should give the x95K a better warranty to highlight the build quality. They need to do something to justify the big price difference between these two TVs. Hopefully, as B mentioned, Sony will dial in mini-led advantages (i.e. less blooming) in upcoming models.
@DarkKnight 3940
Samsung has very good blooming control with their QLED's. Sony's still has backlight master drive...but only in their master series LED panels( Z9K)
No dolby vision support still!? Why IDK.
It's all big wording to get the uninformed to think it's the best, then you pay twice as much for no upgrade from last year.
What wasn't talked about was angles viewing. The 95K is said to be much better at minimizing angled image degradation.
Rtings talks about it. Not great for very wide viewing angles
Great review! Quick question what mode or settings did you have the x90k in when looking at the sdr UA-cam tv? Thanks
Got the x90k and I’m so happy with it. Blooming is there but it’s not very noticeable in the content I’m watching. The Sony OS is so much better than LGs version, very fast and smooth.
Um isn't "the Sony OS" just Google TV?
Great comparison dude. Which one do you think handled a bright object on a dark background better?
👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ That's exactly what I'm looking for in a review that includes a SD ,cable or antenna signal test because if it shows excellent quality in the rest of 4k and HDR it will always be better
✅ can you compare the Hisense U8H vs Sony x90k with the same tests please
Thanks for doing this head 2 head!
Thank you for this helpfull compare😊
Thanks for your help , what you do for us consumers . I have a Samsung QLED Q70T do you think either the X90k or the U8K would be a better TV or just keep what I have thank you . Also I'm not a UA-cam geek but can't have enough of watching your channel , learning about TV's even though I'm a bubbie
We have a X90K in our bright Great Room. It looks great! It’s only the 55 inch.
Can I go x90k or samsung Neo qled which one was better choice i have bit confusion ...
I have the X90J and I love it
My X95K has some white banding on left side of tv, but isn’t noticeable unless white snow or blue sky, DSE is hardly there so Sony did better this year but still would have liked a completely free screen
B,the X90K's remote looks better because you're not holding it!😁 Btw, you did a nice job with Harry's - I might give it a try again.
Exactly! B I want a raise!
They look similar to me, slight brightness on mini led x95k. I bought 5 months ago 85" qn85a because of my very bright living room full of windows and glass door without curtain,. That rainbow effect bothered me at night so I turn off the light when watching TV or angled the TV to avoid that reflection. Rting best TV for bright room recommended qn85a.
Debating on the G2 and the x95k. Bright room, controllable, but is something I'm keeping in mind.
It just depends if your okay with little blooming and bright tv and better pop out in details then the x95k is the perfect one but the g2 does also give very good blacks just not as bright as the x95k but its up to u what you prefer
The G2 has a very reflective glass screen. Recommend 95k for a bright room..
Top review mate.
I saw those TVs side by side and the X95 has more vibrant and crisper colours but in saying that the price of the X95 75 inch is $5295AUD and the X90 75 inch is $3295 AUD so I know I get maybe 10% brighter and better picture but it's almost double the the price, so bang for your buck I will choose the X90K as the better value for money
Since watching your video's, I have decided to purchase the Sony X95K (mini LED), even though it's $ 1,000.00 more than the X90K LED here in Canada. I will also go with the Sony HT-A5000 Sound Bar, SW3 Subwoofer, & finally the SARS3S wireless rear speakers, since I live in an apartment.
That is a great setup. I want a reply after 2 weeks of use.. 😄 enjoy.
Bought the X90ck 75" on sale at Costco. It came with the backlit remote.
January 2023 and I’m considering the X90K at 85” for $1999.99. But I’m also considering an ultra short throw laser projector tv. I currently have a 65” Sony A9G oled and it’s amazing, but I just want bigger.
imho the x95k is the most impressive tv i've seen this year.
XR75X95K was my buy...let's see it pay off...Gaming and Movies...Got it...B
I am going to get one of these two in the 85" model.
Hey B first thing I'm gonna share this video to my Instagram.. secondly everyone if your looking to go bigger than a 65" I believe the LG G2 oled is the best option 👌🏽.. but if your looking to stay 65" and your looking to go budget tv wise then you should really consider the new Hisense 65" tv! If money isn't a problem then at 65" nothing beats the QD-OLED from sony!! Okay that's all!!!
After my horrible experience with LG's QNED80 (note: never buy LG LED, they only make great OLED), I looked to the Sony line. It came down to these exact models. I ended up buying the 75" X90K. 1898.00 at Costco (Black Friday 100.00 off the current sale price). For double the price ($ 3998.00 for the X95K) I just couldn't justify the difference. Yes the viewing angle is better as well as the reflection handling. But my room generally has no light, the ambient light is out of the screen field and isn't a factor, and my seating area is narrow so the viewing angle effect is minimal at best.
All in all, very happy with it. If I was considering spending the amount of money the X95K commands, I might as well go full OLED and get the A80K.
My thoughts exactly. With what they're asking for in the X95K. You can easily go the OLED route. I'm leaning towards the X90K in the same size you got. Funny thing is I was considering the LG QNED85 as well lol.
@@capnsnaxxэто не факт что OLED( перенасыщения цветов и выгорание ) лучше чем Mini LED , следующие поколение Micro LED возможно может похоронить OLED 😅
Hi, Great video as always, your thoughts on x90k vs x95j if both are the same price. ?
X95J wins, the X90K doesn't even win vs X90J, but the X95J is not same price as X90K, X95J still more expensive.
The back light remote is also available with X90CK from Costco.
The opening video is in Shibuya! Love that place.
Trying to decide between Sony 55” A80J OLED vs 65” X90K. Both are same price. Going in a bedroom. I really like the blacks on the OLED when they were side by side in the store, but wonder if I’ll really know the difference when they are not side by side.
Your recommendation would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Best Buy has the X90k 65" on sale for $999
Thank u for this video just what i needed to see, originally i want to buy x95k but the price is too much, thinking to buy the x90k, but when u first review u said is only 48 dimming zones? make me think twice to buy it, now u said is 60 ? the way u compare this two tv almost identical in picture quality. but the x95k has a backlight master drive? thank u more power to your channel.
So do you have any videos in the works for the list of best tv of the year for gaming?
The backlit remote is reserved for their Master Series like A90K, A95K, etc.
I like the thinner bezels on the X95K
I've got a laser projector for my home theater, so I really don't need the extra bits of performance for my living room TV since it would only be used for watching cable and kids playing Nintendi Switch. So the 85" X90K is just perfect!
From what distance do you watch TV? Not too big?
@@user-or4cn9nh9n About 12~13ft from the TV, it wasn't too bad.
I need the x95k ,great TV
Spend the extra money. I figure I watch a a lot of tv and why not enjoy watching the best.
Although the measured contrast is lower on the x95k, the black looks much “blacker” or so to say. Perceived contrast is definitely better on the x95k
Went back to SONY after nearly 2 decades of Samsungs & LG’s. Now that they’re more mainstream priced, but I went with X90 since I’m upsizing to 75” ($1500) and X95 is exactly DOUBLE the price!!! That’s a total “no-brainer”! Not gonna pay the Sony sucker tax for very incremental (not groundbreaking) improvement.
At BestBuy I noticed that TVs can have a distorting mirror effect. (funhouse, carnival mirror effect where the image is squashed or extended only L to R rather than up vs down) As I walked by TVs, the rooms reflections would look great on the right of the TV but as you looked toward the left they warp hugely. This effect can be seen with the TVs on or off. In terms of models.... The LG oleds had it super bad. The Sony A95k has a little that I could live with. The Samsung s95b had none. There were other TVs that had it but since I don't follow them I don't remember their names.
I was purposely looking at picture only (Not name/technology/price) When I discovered that certain TVs were giving me a massive cheap feeling. This was the source of that feeling. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and if it's widespread? None of my or my family's TV have that effect
Ya I noticed on Sony tvs gaming kinda has fishbowl effect with objects in the background when panning around yet my QN85A doesn’t
I am just confusing here about this model table stand Best Buy website says" both got Multi-position stand offers both a standard low-profile setting or a raised setting to accommodate your soundbar" 🤔
I bought X95j 65” $1,091 so happy!
glad to see this comparison. these are the two i was debating between for 85". I went with the 90k due to cost, $2300 at Costco If the 95k was priced at 3500 or less, I would have tried it.
Getting the X90k because the picture is beautiful and the price. I work for a company where I'm lucky to get a djscount... and the 65" is a perfect set for me
Hey bro. Just a suggestion on your editing. I think it would make sense to keep each object you are reviewing to one side only; consistently throughout your video. It’s great that you label which TV is which down the bottom but they were switching sides throughout the video.
Thank you so much ... I was going to write to Sony about why they wont launch x95k at the 65 inch size in India... I should just dim the lights while investing in a better soundbar now
Wish they had of used this stand on the A95K to raise it.
It's all French to me... I'm currently running a Sony 65' Bravia x90e with the 120 hertz refresh rate. No issues running with my Xbox X. Blu-ray movies and games are great but recently noticed color dimming during streaming shows. I don't need a TV but would like a new one in the near future..
It's the X90 for me. Only a Sony because all my other equipment is Sony and I hate having more than 1 or 2 remotes.
You can manually change the height profile of the stand in x90k.
Im looking for a TV with VRR, i currently have a Sony Bravia OLED and am annoyed that I just missed the model with HDMI 2.1. Will there be a significant drop in quality going from OLED to Mini LED in your opinion? Or is this something only the trained eye would notice if side by side?
i am happy with my X90K 75 inch and gaming on PS5 is just superb.....for the price...i could not justify the mini led tv for slight marginal performance....so i went with X90K tv
Is it good or not for gaming
The 85’ x95K is absolutely incredible and has to be seen to believe as it has a better panel, contrast and dimming zones. You owe it to yourself to check it out for yourself. I actually have my suspicion it was purposely left out of the 2022 shoot out cause it may have trumped the A95K or at the very least come up even in overall tally marks.
Do you still own it?
To much blooming.
@@phillydavison you own the 85" version?
@@phillydavison I owm it. Most certainly not..
It's 4 grand dude, are you joking??
You did not mention the ATSC3 tuners, which is not offered in the Samsung full array non NEO QLED TVs
I went with the X90K in 85" because it is bright, beautiful and the 95K was basically twice as much which is ludicrous considering it's not twice as good.
I saw them side by side and I do think the 95K has a little better definition and blacks but it's honestly very close. Happy with my choice.
I feel the same way Brother 🙂
How is it in bright environments with lights?
It's pretty good. Some glare, but it holds its own.
@@danielcp1985 cool thank you very much!
How about off axis? Washed out or livable ?
Hi @B The Installer,
I just purchased the new one 85" X90k after watching your review. In your opinion, what do you think are the best picture settings for this TV I purchased? Can you provide the following items settings please? I Mainly watch TV using an Nvidia shield TV Pro.
Hi @ B The Installer,
I was not able to get in touch with you as I do not have a Twitter account. I only use UA-cam. At your earliest convenience, can you share what you consider to be the best picture settings for the Sony X90k please? Thanks in advance for your help!
I have a 75 inch x95k in my basement, that I like a lot, now I just want to say, I don’t really see the need or the interest in buying an oled, which can have issues after using one for a few months with the possibility of burn in, and other things like that.so for now I am perfectly fine with my current big tv, for a movie/video game room, I have in my basement.
I wish all TV/monitor reviews can using HDR format when uploading.
If you buy your Sony TV from Costco all the remotes are backlit in all models. Just FYI
I am not looking to get another LED TV. I think the Sony A90J 83 inch on a huge discount now. Do you think when you get the A90J in your house, will you notice the difference in brightness that a A95K or G2 has on the A90J. Room is bright during the day but mainly watch TV at night since working during the day and room has no lights on at night. Don’t play games on TV.
Which is best for watching movies in a darkish room? I'm coming from an oled that now has awful burn in and for someone who watches a variety of content I don't see it wise to buy another oled. Any advice?
I just bought the X90CK from Costco. It came with a metal Backlit remote for $999 with a 5year warranty. The TV remote fully controls my Roku Ultra box as well
I wondered what, if any differences there were for the Costco version. So the remote is the difference. I was there the last day of the sale and passed. I still want to get a 90k though since they are still on sale on sale in certain places. And for $1000 it's a way better deal than the 80k I was looking at for $800.
@@adamtoepfer131 The 5 year warranty is a big plus too. Thats a huge plus.
@@josephdubiel7129 That is a long time. I've had my current plasma almost exactly 10 years. So pretty much anything is an upgrade at this point. I've just been waiting for an LED that could match the blacks I get on my plasma. I don't really want to go OLED because my wife and 2 year old have a habit of pausing things that will burn the TV. I've accepted it at this point. But I don't want to spend $1000+ just to get a TV ruined in less than a year.
@@adamtoepfer131 From what I can see its the remote plus the extended warranty. you get 5 years during their sales. I noticed in this review he specifically mentions that the remote was not backlit but Costco's is backlit. had it for a week and so far its awesome. The sound from the TV speakers isn't great out of the box but I have a dolby surround sound bar with sub from Vizio so I never played with the TV sound settings to improve it. for $999 its a great deal in my opinion
@@00tich Well Costco had extended their sale and I picked one up on Monday. Seems their sale goes till tomorrow I think. But I'm super impressed with this tv. I haven't calibrated colors yet, but out of the box it's fantastic.
Hey,great video.Well,Sony is calling the new TV's Google TV instead of Android TV.And the operating system is still Android ? If yes what Android systen have 90K and 95 K ?
