External appearance, i liked the Magnite. Interior was mediocre. Only stand out feature was the 360 cam.
Ride quality and interior features ( Especially the LCD quality n animation of speedometer )
I felt the Kiger was better. The Sports , Normal, Eco modes and the turn dials are a plus .
The CVT Turbo combination and Steering felt very good.

Finally someone who knows what they are doing among the self acclaimed automotive ‘journalists’ in Kerala.
It’s actually sad to see Nissan struggle like this. I have used many cars over the years in our family, used to own a 85 hp Nissan Terrano (I know that it’s basically a duster, but it was a duster which looked good) working in High-Range, have taken it over such bad roads in Idukki. It drove so good and the ride was a dream. Now after all these years, driving a latest gen Skoda Superb, I still miss and love that Terrano. I hope Nissan makes a come back.

The Terrano/Duster is such a workhorse. People who had them, loved theirs. The 85bhp state of tune was so much more tractable in the city and when going over bad roads.
I own a Terrano 2014 model. Droved 1,65,000 Km and 7 Years and still counting. Still the same ride quality, performance and fuel efficiency. The power delivery and ride quality is unmatched in may rivals.
I’m using Terrano.Done many long trips including Leh and Ladak.It’s an awesome machine ❤

Very true, it is a very good car to drive around short distances and city driving. Far better than using motorbikes for city commutes. My friends are now searching all around for good condition ones. My family had plans of buying its as second car back when it was on sale, didnt bought it because of the social cheapness it marketed.

I will be very honest, what really matters in a car is ride quality, stability at high speed, feeling of being connected to the road and Kiger is better in all these segment. Looks are subjective. I prefer magnite's front and kiger's rare. Kiger is not photogenic but more catchy in person. Having 360 view, hill assist and cruise is just additional features which is not needed by good drivers, such leisure feature limits you from improving your skills. Safety wish both are same. Kiger got 4 airbag which is a life saver and magnite has more breaking features which is good too. Overall Kiger is a better option (mid and top varient) on a long run for 4 people. What does cruise control have to do with being a "good driver"? It's about convenience, and in straight roads/highways, it's damn useful if you're on long trips. Even hill assist is super convenient. "Learn to be better drivers" is really an absurd way to be dismissive of convenience features (which is IMO absolutely a good thing).
I like Kiger overall, but it really does miss out on some good features, which would have been absolutely made this a great VFM buy.
I never used to watch youtube videos longer than 20 mins...nd now I'm thinking why is this video short...cant they make it to around 1 hr like usual...love your videos guys 👍🏾

The point regarding turbo engine being a good match to CVT transmission is something only very keen people notice. Truly it is a match made in heaven and must be welcomed more. The regular folk would just look at an amt as an automatic and prefer it more due to cost.
Honda amaze diesel CVT is another one such great engine gearbox combo.

Your reviews make a world of difference from any other automobile reviews around (which seems quite boring though). You guyz are clearly explaining about the ergonomics and practicality by mentioning about the control switches positions,gear box spec, seat recline angles, the steering feel etc etc . Where the other reviewers mention about size of the bottle holders and boot space and some unnecessary stuff (that a car enthusiast never concerns) as the practicality of a car.

I will go with Creta, haven’t driven one.. but driven Kia Seltos overseas.. petrol 4 cylinder with torque converter gear box.. does the job pretty well..not a fan of VW 1litre engine 😎

@@JJ-tn3zd Indian spec will always have a difference. Seltos scored 5 star in ANCAP and what happened when in GNCAP? It barely got a 3 star. As Vivekji said " Cars with rigid body and safety will also have good dynamics".

I feel a 360 deg camera in this segment is a huge feature. That was just alluded to very casually while reviewing magnite. surprised me. Does it have such a feature? The window lock pull pin has a hole in Kiger which lends it very susceptible for anyone to insert a wire and pull it from outside, basically defeating the door lock feature !

I purchased Kiger CVT variant, recently. Encountered one serious safety issue. While driving down a slope in reverse, with brake pedal partially pressed, car manifests severe and abnormal groaning sound. The car doesn't stop and moves farther even after pressing the brake pedal fully. Currently, the issue is under investigation by the dealer and Renault. Learn that it is a global problem with this variant. Seriously concerned. Request an assessment from the "Talking Cars" duo. Thank you, in advance. R K Nair

Please do a video on First Gen Figo. How under rated the car is. Jaydev owned it so he will know so much about that car. Is it a good car to modify and increase power? I have done stage 1 on my figo
Only mod one can do to it is a remap. It does not have an intercooler so the engine cant take anything more..

Nice touch that you added showing and explaining about the instrument cluster while driving that was one thing missing and i would also like to see the cluster while driving it would be helpful while explaining the power output and all but yes you will need an additional camera footage to pickup that but i think that won't disappoint adding those pov shots !

I have a question. I am planning on a Renault Kiger. I am a sedate driver but I drive a lot. I travel to the hills and forested landscapes very often, but this includes lots of highway runs too. I love the stepped CVT in Kiger, would you suggest that I go with a turbo manual or the turbo CVT? Currently I drive an AMT and it just works fine across highways and hills.
