I've had the Samsung Q60a for a day and overall it's a disappointment. Nice brightness but the horrible audio quality definitely needs a sound bar and meh viewing quality. I think I will exchange this for the Sony X85J.
I’m still having doubts deciding between these 2. My room is always dark, like pitch black dark I don’t like any sunlight in my room. So every time I watch tv is always a dark room. I watch mainly tv series / shows . Which one do you think its better ? Thank you I’ll advance , I loved your video.
The sony will have great colors. It will pop during day scenes and nature documentaries. But it will epically fail if you are watching night scenes. You will think the tv is horrendous if you watch a batman marathon.
@@TechSteve IMHO people should wait for 2022 when buying a new TV since they will have more options for tv's. More and more manufacuturers will make the transition and even tv's in the lower segments will be fitted with hdmi 2.1, 120 HZ panels, VRR, etc. I dont think though 8K will be manditory though. My pionions are from a gamers point of view. If tou want to have a tv just for watching movies, sports, streming, etc both tv's will be more than enough :)
@@FireMarshall75 I doubt they will dump all the tech that’s already available in their high end models into their mid- or lower- tier models next year. It’s like Apple with their iPhones. They just release a couple new features every time even though all the technology is there already. Next year, these mid-tier TVs will still have similar features. I bought the Samsung 75” and it’s great!
@@bw1955 Some TV Brands and models will get more and more features and that is because we are getting closer and closer to the end of 4K era. OFC the will not dupm all tecj on lower end tv's. IMHO if you want a TV to be feature proof (PS5/XboX gaming and more ) it is worth to invest in a better TV OR wait 2-3 more years and buy a tv with more features than :)
choose Sony x90J if you don't want an OLED TV. Sony has better features, it is a more advanced TV, so unless you want to have the OLED picture quality, for perfect contrast, and you are not afraid of the burn in issue I would choose the Sony x90J. If you just wanna have an OLED with basic features (60hz for example) then choose the A1. I hope this will help you. Also I don't know where you are going to buy it but in the USA and in Canada they dropped the prices on Sony x90j tv-s. So it is a good deal. P.S. Please let me know about your choice.
blacks are a bit overpowering in the sony .. the gaming test showed it clearly.. details are clear and dont hide behind the blacks in the samsung tv ...specially the horse riding scene during the gaming test . I believe this is very important if someone wants to watch hdr content with lots of dark scenes

Sorry man I don’t recommend TVs for people, you’ll have to take ownership of your decision

Hi Steve.
Could you please mention the backlight system any TV uses?
Have you watch any of my newer videos?
@@TechSteve probably.
I'm referring to edge lit etc.
Thx.
No problem, you miss details when you slim videos 😉
Where does the q70a fit in ?
Higher end
The Sony tv has alot of inputs. I love a TV has multiple inputs. Sony tv remotes are the best.
I agree
You know your stuff - thank you
Hello,
what is your choice between these three TVs?
Sony x81j. LCD-LED
sony xr-x90j LED
samsung Q80AAT. QLED
sony xr-x90j
Sony X 81 LCD-Led good reliable tv
samsung q60a,sony x80h or x80j which one is ?
best

@@TechSteve i need ur valuable opinion or suggestion . which one u like most in all aspects
I don’t suggest models, i make work with theses companies in the future. The video has examples of everything you need
So finally which tv is best to buy 43inch sony x80j or samsung q60a
The video is the answer, you decide
Awesome review!
Thanks
You did a fantastic job here, just made my decision a lot easier. Thank you!
What decision you made? I'm thinking about getting the Samsung.
@@westlyside Sony
This is the one I've been waiting for!!!
Also, anybody who has the X80J, can it handle Dolby Vision gaming on Series X ok? Is the input lag acceptable?
I haven't tried, but it would be interesting
@@TechSteve Can you test it?
not now, i have too much going on
@@TechSteve Oh alright thanks for the reply.
X81j is much better ... Also more durable... Due to the direct led
Thanks for the video
Great comparison video. However, you should put more people skin tone movie clips. Skin tone is most people will see life time of the TV..
Cool
So Samsung is best for gaming?
Was between this two. Samsung win for me...both nice to watch,
but Samsung design, thickness, remote, edging (Sony have real looks cheap wide plastic, moving with touch).
Price dropping this Black Friday a lot, soooo, Samsung. Got today.
Thanks for the mini review
Samsung Q60A QLED is the winner. There is always pros and cons.
Really? I'm an avid movie watcher and I'm trying to pick the best TV possible. Which would you choose for movies?
just bought 2 q70A 65 inch, waiting delivery, picture was just beautiful
im buying three of these for a racing sim. so im curious out of the two what one should i buy. its gonna be strictly for racing games
sound doesnt matter just the picture
or heck is there a better option for what im trying to do
Samsung TVs has better motion and a advance gaming mode
@@TechSteve thats what I was thinking
Hi man with all do respect how many admi's does it have
Lupe I have no idea of what you’re asking
@@TechSteve My bad I was asking how man hdmi's does the samsung tv have
I showed on the video
I have never seen 4k in my life i have only seen 1080p so not even 1440p but i have ordered the q60t and im hoping its good
You will update your services to 4k or use apps to get a good picture out of it
I'm little confused between Q60A and Q67A , are they the same or is there any differences. Sony looks like a great option also
You must live aboard, I haven't heard of that model
Essential point you forgot to mention.
During the dark scene Samsung has a ghost white shadow on the screen.!
I called Samsung and they know this issue with no explanations !
I returned this Tv twice with the same problem!
Visible during the night ( very dark room).
If you heard anything about this issue let me know ?! Thank for your video though
I don’t notice everything, but just remember these are considered budget TVs so it will never be perfect
The reason I went for Samsung was that Sony still in 2021 does not support BBC iPlayer or ITV Hub apps. That’s not acceptable.
I wouldn’t have a clue about those apps
That is not a very good reason to ditch Sony.
Я так и не понял какой телевизор лучше
Exactly
Samsung QN90A or QN94?
Please suggest me which one I should choose in below model, both are 50 inch
Sony New X75 (UHD)
Samsung 50Q60A (QLED)
Buy X80 instead of X75. X75 does not have dolby vision or triluminus colour. If X80 not possible then go for Q60A.
Your hoodie must be fresh out of box :D
Sony doesnt have the 70 inch?🤦🏽♂️ why?. My t.v stand can only hold up to 70. Not sure why it skips from 65inch to 75inch..
I am seeing black crush on the Sony
I wish you could of showed more video other than just some Ps5 stuff…
It’s just a Demo, you have to buy and try in your home to see the true performance. I have the PS5 hardwared in my studio as well.
@@TechSteve Ppl watch these videos specifically so they don’t have to buy and try tvs in their home Steve. I understand you have to be careful with copyright but a little more video/picture goes a long way. I’m not trying to criticize your channel but just trying to help you out from a viewers perspective.
Sorry I get what you’re saying now, I use too but UA-cam gives you a hard time with copyrights. There’s no way around it until I get more time to create more demos. I’ve reached out to some companies about using there 4K demos on my TV testing channel but they never reply
@@oilerguy5494 You put it quite well. If we were to do the stuff why would be rely on reviewers?
@peter this one is for you buddy ua-cam.com/video/KotE13sw6oo/v-deo.html 👍🏽
I just bought the Sony x85j and love it so far😍
It’s still on my wishlist, lol
Samsung au9000 or q60a?
QLED
@@TechSteve thank you Steve. Have found your videos recently and have found them really helpful. Now between q65a, q60a and q80a. Think the qn90a bit too expensive for me
Ah great think am gna go Samsung ty!
I've had the Samsung Q60a for a day and overall it's a disappointment. Nice brightness but the horrible audio quality definitely needs a sound bar and meh viewing quality. I think I will exchange this for the Sony X85J.
Can someone tell me in their opinion which is better for streaming 4k movies!?
IDC about gaming as I have a LG gaming monitor just want to watch movies on my TV with my samsung sound bar
I’m still having doubts deciding between these 2. My room is always dark, like pitch black dark I don’t like any sunlight in my room. So every time I watch tv is always a dark room. I watch mainly tv series / shows . Which one do you think its better ? Thank you I’ll advance , I loved your video.
The video is the answer
I found with the Sony the ghosting rectifies itself with a software update!
Cool
How?
@@danielelinguanti7612 I did update via help and then status & Diagnostic and then System software update
You should have used the 50 inch va panel for the sony 😅
I don’t own one
The sony will have great colors. It will pop during day scenes and nature documentaries. But it will epically fail if you are watching night scenes. You will think the tv is horrendous if you watch a batman marathon.
Perfect 👍
sony is best ...dark and realistic colour and sansung tv's are bright colours
No 2.1 HDMI on either TV. Imho if you want a tv for the next gen consoles these tv’s are not interesting 😕
they look great, some people can’t afford 120Hz TVs for games
Помоги пожалуйста выбрать ТВ!!!
Выбираю 65 диагональ
Выбор упал на 3 варианта
- Самсунг Q80A
- Сони X90J
- LG A1
Помогите с выбором пожалуйста !!!
choose Sony x90J if you don't want an OLED TV.
@@AramGevorgyan спасибо!!!!
Скажу обязательно :)
A1 Channel!
Thanks
Bought a 65 Inch sony X80J today for $699
Nice
I took it back, it's horrible!
Purchased a hisense 65 inch U7G for $799.
The Hisense blows this sony out of the water..
As long as you’re happy, that’s all that matters 👊🏽
blacks are a bit overpowering in the sony .. the gaming test showed it clearly.. details are clear and dont hide behind the blacks in the samsung tv ...specially the horse riding scene during the gaming test . I believe this is very important if someone wants to watch hdr content with lots of dark scenes
I have a Sony x80j 50 inches
I literally have both in hand and still don't know
the Q60A is the clear winner. Has a web browser, sleek design, and better picture performance. Sony's played out
I already bought Samsung so Samsung is winner 🏆
Ur compqring a 4ktv to a qled thats mismatch
It a series of vs video not just this one
Why is that a mismatch? Is the qled better?
@@Vortex_one yes its upgraded than the 4k and more way expesive than 4k
Honestly Steve I will never buy a Sony tv no matter how good it is. Their customer service is garbage and their QC needs ALOT of work. I will stick with LG and Samsung
So which TV do you like better 🙂
I gave my thoughts on the video
Sony is the king of all tv
I like them too, but I don't know about KING
@@TechSteve LG?
Sony pictures look more natural
The color in the Samsung is awful.
You need to go check your eyes because its obviously not Samsung.
Watch this video if you want to see more of the color performance ua-cam.com/video/KotE13sw6oo/v-deo.html
Quantum dot, sony no have😀
Only some models like Samsung, Hisense supports that
