Hey Frey Family...asking for prayers for my family. Especially my dad, as he starts chemo tomorrow. It's been a tough few weeks and I know it will get harder before it gets easier. I can't even begin to describe the sense of security I feel, knowing that I can reach out to all of you. The Frey Family is amazing.

Hi Mary! Just wondering how often you consult with your parents during the process. You both seem to advocate so well for yourselves, and I was just curious to know how involved they are in planning and decision-making! Do you call them often when you're in the hospital?

No tasting meds unless you did what I did. Burped immediately after taking meds when bending down and you spit up pure medicine.

what is 'blood count'? is it to do with sugar levels or something?
it measures the number of white blood cells, red blood cells and platelets in your blood as well as hemaglobin (a protein) and hematocrit (the ratio of plasma to red blood cells), and changes in the levels can tell you if something is going wrong :)
I think it's more about the blood itself, like how many red blood cells (which carry oxygen throughout the body), white blood cells (which fight infections) etc.
so glad Mary is EATING, even if it is via a tube! Also Peter, you are amazing, I like your advice. One moment at a time. Don't look too far ahead. Have some fun no matter where you are.

I had surgery on my head/temples/back of head and neck for migraines and after I had that air trapped too. It felt so weird.. still praying for you Mary! The Lord has his angels surrounding you!

Chronically Cassidy yeah honestly it only helps some types of my pain since I have muscle, bone, nerve, and joint pain it really only helps some of the muscle or nerve pain and only in conjunction with my 1-5 oral pain meds and heat and laying down lol
heat packs are the best for stomach pain! I have one on me right now 😁
I'm glad Mary helped me yawn because it equalized the pressure in my ears. :)

Hey Mary, don't worry, your gut is still confused from surgery, it's like " WHAT ARE THEY GIVING ME, AND WHAT IS THAT? ", so don't even worry. -it'll take roughly a few months to completely understand the new environment, and I'm pretty sure when it gets normalized, you'd be the one trying to catch up to it, so don't worry, everything will be fine. Well..... all the best and take care.
Sweet Mary!! 💞 praying your blood platelets stabilize. Also lidocaine patches or Lidoderm whichever patches are AMAZING!! I use them daily and cut them in strips like you do to help with pain so I don't have to take NSAIDs orally! HUGE HELP!! glad they worked for you! Now to get the FUEL started and pumping!!

You guys are ROCK STARS!!! I am curious...will you have to check for residual "fuel" before you start fueling up, to make sure everything is digesting and moving along? I'm just curious, as we had to do that when my daughter had a GJ tube....

It is really a matter of seconds, minutes, hours, and days at a time. Some days are better than others. Sometimes, if all you do is breathe or get out of bed, that's okay. You did something and you should be proud. Once you make it through one day, you can say you made it through one day and you can do it again! I hope Mary is feeling good today. Thank you for sharing your life(s) on UA-cam with us. You both are so inspirational!

Is it Ensure, Carnation Instant Breakfast, SlimFast going into the J Tube? Will Mary be able to eat at any time she wants also? This may be too personal but is the same physical intimacy possible. Ostomy & Feeding Tube have both been recommended.
Mary, you seem so much better today and your piercing looks so good! No bruising! 😃 I can't wait to see the pounds come on. I was so excited when you gained the three pounds while using the nasal tube that I cheered out loud! I have one of those 'CF questions', after a CF patient uses the gym at the hospital does it need to be cleaned? And if so, how thoroughly? Like anti-bac wipes or like a hospital room clean? Just one of my random thoughts while watching! 😅
I'm sitting here happy and sad. I'm so happy to see Mary's tube working but I see such a happy family and my fiancée is leaving me soon for being too much as someone with a chronic illness. At 26 i wonder if I'll ever find anyone and I'm so petrified of dying alone and losing my love, that I can't handle it easily and I have to take a Valium. I pray for a beautiful family like the Frey family. So much.

I'm 8 months post op tomorrow and I can barely see my incisions. They fade sooo much as the months go on. :)
I've had three laproscopic surgeries in my abdomen. The gas they puff you up with always seems to be the worst part to me. It seriously feels like you're going to pop. It's so dang uncomfortable. I always say I wish they could vacuum it back out before they stitch you up. I hope yours goes away quickly.
I'm praying for my marriage to be reconciled and that my husband and I have a love like you two do when God puts our marriage back together. You guys are amazing. I love you three so much. I pray for you often.

I'm so happy you are on the mend. I had to laugh when you said your left side was crunchy. For some reason bubble wrap popped in my head. I love popping bubble wrap. If my stomach was doing that, I'd be pushing on it all day! I know. I'm weird.

To cut down on adhesive irritation we do a light spray of Flonase and let it dry before application. Our adhesive is IV3000 infusion set/hand
