Your such an inspiration Mary. My sister was in an accident and can no longer feel from her knees down. She and I were watching your blogs while she was still in the hospital and she said that if you can do this she could try walking during pt. She took her first step the next day. Thank you for your inspiration.

Can I just say that as a nursing major, I really like being able to watch these videos and hear what is happening to you so I can apply what I am learning to an actual person that is going through it. Not that that is the main reason I enjoy the videos at all, but it is nice to have a human connection to things that I am learning in school.

Make sure you tell your Dr. everything or about all changes like the little lumps in your lips. They might be easily explained, but you don't need to find out later that you had something that could be treated or gets worse. Keeping you in my prayers.

Pain meds slow bowel motility, Iron can cause the stool to harden. Don't let it get out of control. Ask for stool softeners if you need them.

I just stumbled upon your channel several days ago and all I can say is that I'm completely hooked! I've been watching all of your older blogs and you guys are amazing and uplifting. Personally I have had 43 brain surgeries in the past 10 years due to Intracranial Hypertension. I have a shunt in my brain that likes to be difficult and fail. I've spent so much time in the hospital that I can totally relate to you; I've had meningitis at least 10 times and multiple brain bleeds. Ollie is adorable. I have 2 poodles and although they aren't service animals they are the closest thing I have to children. I'm praying that you continue to improve after your recent surgery and are able to get back home soon!

Glad to see you're doing better! One step at a time, one day at a time. It's great that Peter can stay there with you around the clock. You both are very fortunate that Peter's job as a minister allows him to spend everyday with you, Mary, except for running personal errands and doing the service on Sunday mornings! I recognize that Peter puts a lot into his ministry, but he seems to have a fairly liberal schedule. Most are not so lucky--in addition to providing exhausting care to their loved ones who are ill, spouses and care-givers have to also go out to a not-so-forgiving job everyday, many working shifts and weekends, or whatever it takes to provide. I'm happy that Peter is able to be available to you pretty well 24/7. Not many have that. And he does it well! Your chronic illness is a difficult challenge, but it's wonderful that you two are lucky enough to be able to tackle it together, and your teamwork is beautiful! God bless you both, and all those who's struggles are just as difficult, or even more so.

Oh my goodness the first minute of the vlog is literally me on a daily basis. Laying on my side, face exactly the same, and shaking my legs or rubbing them together (I call it cricket legs) or just rocking my entire body back and forth when the pain gets bad. I'm so happy your pain got a bit better through the day, I know those long nights are hard (I had one last night and pretty much every night this week 😣). Things will get better and I'm so thankful you've got the different pain management tools and your doctors are working with you on getting better 💖 sending you gentle hugs and spoons 🥄

Hi Mary. I was in the emergency room all night throwing up and severe diarrhea! I had a severe reaction to my antibiotic Amoxicillin. I felt queasy the first dose. The second had my in the bathroom both throwing up and pooping for 3 hours. I call 911 after severe cramping and feeling so weak and feint. I am in bad pain but feeling better. Mary, have Peter check to see if you all have Annie's Homegrown products in your area. I know Costco carries them but many organic stores also carry them. Everything is shaped like a bunny. They have Bunny Grahams in a bunch of flavors including cheese, chocolate, honey, and chocolate chip. They also have fruit snacks that don't get super tough to chew but rather stay fresh tasting like real fruit. I buy the big boxes at Costco so I can be stocked for the whole month. There are lots of other Annie's Homegrown products as well. All organic. Just thought I would give you the suggestion for future hospital stays or even at home.

When I am in pain and my stomach hurts, moving my legs like that gives me the only short relief that I can get! I don't know why it helps, or how I started to do that but it works. Keep going girl!! I've been sick this last week, and I have two kids under three to take care of. My husband has been amazing but it's been difficult, because they don't totally understand that mommy isn't well. So, to get to the point, I've been feeling really sorry for myself off and on but I stop and say "do what you think you can't do, cause you sure know Mary is giving it her all". I just want to say thank you! You are both such an inspiration to me and so many others. Im so grateful that people, such as yourselves, are spreading such a positive, strong message to the world through your vlogs and please know it's helping so many get through tough times. God bless

I became allergic to tegaderm after years and years, now if I use it I blister and itch so bad. I can only use IV3000 now. I'm so jealous of your button, so tiny and cute! Here they only use them on kids, adults get the long tube :( . Ollie is so sweet and so very smart, good idea on training him to avoid the tube! Hope your pain lessens more and more each day.

When Ollie backed up on command I actually said "Oh, good boy!" as though he could hear me! He is SO cute! Hope you all have a better night tonight. X

I love my emla cream! I have a super sensitive scar on my ankle and I have to wear boots to keep my ankle from rolling. Most times the boot rubs the scar causing pain. I was so happy to have found out about emla cream.

My niece has a feeding tube. She had to have it because she's six and a wild child so calories just do not stick to her. Her parents call it her "button" and it's helped her a TON (she also has CF).

The puzzle could be glued and it would make a nice trivet. I'd like to get some numbing cream for the septum on my pump which is like a port of sorts.
