I have some miraculous, AMAZING news to share!!! My family member was told a week and a half ago that he "definitely" had cancer by a specialist, and at least a couple other doctors agreed. This past Friday his pathology results came back completely CANCER FREE!!!!!! I am praisinf and thanking the Lord Jesus Christ for His abundant goodness, and mercy toward us!!! Praise the LORD!!!! Thank you to those who left such very sweet comments last week when we were told it was cancer, and to those who prayed!
when you said " this is the day the lord has made", i automatically said (aloud) "let us rejoice and be glad in it!" My dad used to recite that every morning before I went to school.
I always have to bring a blanket, my chapstick, my pillow, my essential oils and diffuser. My mom always goes to the gift shop and gets me a new cup for my drinks especially miralax (it just makes it more fun) oh and my own clothes and socks. Lotion is a must!! I always bring something to read too. and hair ties and headbands. Those are my hospital essentials. If someone is staying with me I will also bring my service dog.
I hope this gives people some ideas
The pillow is a good idea and Miralax is gross.
I don't know if you have tried this but I found that the miralax is okay if you dissolve it in cranberry or grapefruit juice... they are strong enough flavors to cover it
Taylor Morefield Thats nice
Alexandra Morgan also in tea or coffee, you can't taste it at all!
Oh my goodness the hospital fashion show was to funny!!
Have a good friend who has CF and just had a double lung transplant, 4 days ago. She's doing well and breathing on her own. Please pray for her. Her name is Liz.
Nancy Wiltshire I hope things continue going well for her. Praying for good health:)
The way that Mary said, "FREE HAIRS!" really got me.
My first son was born premature and was in NICU for 6 days. The hospital provided my husband and I with a queen bed for a few days. I agree, it can make things much more comforting. 💚
Mary, you are such an inspiration. I love how you make the best of whatever situation. I am fighting my own battle, and seeing your positivism has made me want to smile more. Thank you.
Lol Mary you make me laugh! "Eww that has diarrhea on it..." Made my day.Love Ollie Boy
Hope you feel better soon Mary. Sending lots of love, healing thoughts and prayers from a very sunny South Africa. And to Peter and Ollie. .. thanks for loving and taking care of Mary. You are all so loved ♥♥♥
So thankful to see you are feeling a little better, Mary. Love how committed you are to each other, also Bonzy.
What a treat to have a window and see beautiful
sunsets from your room at hospital.
Thank you for helping me set my priorities straight!!! I have been missing my Mom SOOOO much. When you say be grateful that reminds me of my Mom. She always reminded me to be grateful.
Good job Mary and Peter! Praying for you. Thank you for your constant reflection of our good and glorious God. You guys are such a blessing to me!
Prayers for quick and easy treatments so you can be home ASAP ! Hugs to you all.... Ollie included! ❤️
Mary, you are so right about the bigger hospital beds! My husband sometimes crawls in the tiny bed with me just to hold me for a little bit when I am sick - it makes me feel so much better!!! I would join the fight!
Many blessing Mary, Peter and Oliver. Praying for a speedy recovery.
You remind us all that having your health is the best gift. You are both do a great service of getting the message out and understanding of CF. . My husband had early onset parkinsons at 42 .. He fought a courages battle for 22 years. Many people did not know a lot about his disease but most happy to learn something about it. It's good to be a team in fighting anything. Hope hospital stay helps you Mary .
Many prayers for a quick recovery. I love your positive attitude. 💜😘
I love how you stay so positive! I always bring my pillow, blanket and bag full of artsy projects to keep me entertained
You guys are such a strong couple! I really look up to your little family. 💕
Good luck at the hospital! I hope you feel a little better after your treatment Mary 💗 Can't wait to see your little Christmas tree set up at the hospital.
Watching some old vlogs and this one brought back so many memories... I used to be admitted for a week every month for nearly 2 years and seeing you prepare, drive, check in, and make a "home" just reminded me of my version of that "routine". We too packed what seemed like the whole house, but you really do need certain things to made the stay a little easier. And seeing your reaction to the room, I was often like that too. Every room is different, and some are definitely better than others, but you make the best of it! Mary, I was feeling all the same emotions you were. Even the fact that you were heading in at night was just like me. It really made me stop and thank Jesus that that is no longer a routine for me. Thanks for vlogging every part of the journey, and always bringing joy to others. Praying for you and hoping your lungs will stay happy enough to avoid the hospital for a while longer! ❤️
I admire your optimism; it's so sweet. I especially love the way you can both spend nights together in the hospital, with Ollie, too. Super!! Wishing all the best for you, Mary. ❤
good luck Mary, wishing and praying for smooth sailing. you got this !!
praying for a quick and healing hospital stay!
So appreciative of your kind spirit, no matter what is happening.
I love your fox! Wishing you a quick and successful hospital stay! ❤❤❤
"Life with a needle in my chest"🎵🎶🎤
"When you wake up in the morning, sometimes you find you have life with a needle in your chest...."
Sending you well wishes and hope all of your treatments for the week go well. I know its never fun being in the hospital but so glad you have your hubby and dog with you to keep you going for the week.
I was in the small local hospital for extended treatment and as a treat after the first week they moved a double bed from the labor and delivery floor to our room so my husband could sleep with me instead of in a pull out chair. This lasted all of about 2 days (maybe why its usually only on L&D floors). It was awful for him as he was woken up every time they came in to do something for me (change IV's, give meds, take blood). In the chair he was off in a corner and if the nurses were quiet he was undisturbed. In the same bed it was impossible not to wake him up. It was also hard for the nurses who were trying to do what I needed around the sleeping body of a husband they did not want to disturb. So I first hand learned why these beds might be great in the maternity rooms where people are otherwise healthy and just enjoying time with a newborn but why they are not normally used in other areas. The bed was also big for the room and with other hospital equipment it seemed like people were always on the wrong side at the wrong time. After 2 days we thanked them profusely for thinking of us and went back to a regular hospital bed and a sleeper chair. It really was a very kind gesture but does not work out as well as one might think.
Oh that's a good point!
Pam Duncan the last time i was in labor and delivery the room had a small one person pull out couch. That might have been a more convenient style for something like this when your spouse stays at the hospital with you.
thank you so much for sharing positive vibes.. even when it's hard. in His presence, there is fullness of JOY. 🌻 love you people!
And oh my glory, the part with CF hospital fashion was hilarious.
Love ya Mary! Happy Birthday Bonesy! Lots of hugs and prayers from the Cook fam being sent your way! ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡
Best Wishes Mary , I hope you have a short stay in the hospital and that you will be all ready for Christmas with your family ! Hugs and kisses !

love you guys and how positive you ALWAYS are...you encourage us!, hoping all goes well with the hospital stay. we are staying tuned! 😄
I hope this stay will help you feel better Mary. You all are in my prayers.
lol fashionista. Thank you for the giggle before I go to bed. Y'all will be in my prayers. Sending lots of love from Florida.
Mary, you have a great outlook of being in the hospital. I agree with bringing your own bedding to the hospital because the hospital blankets are not WARM AT ALL. I hope that the ABx combo works quickly so you can get home soon. You, Peter and Ollie are in my prayers.
What I bring to the hospital are my clothes, iPod, blanket, Sudoku puzzles, coloring books. I'm glad you look at the bright side of things. Hope everything goes well.
I love who positive you guys are with whatever life throws your way. Thank you for giving me a laugh everyday.
You guys always make me smile :) hang in there Mary, you guys are so strong. i hope your stay goes smoothly
I agree, for people who are in the hospital for more than a few days, it would be great to have rooms set up with a full size bed and maybe more like a nice hotel room. I really think your surroundings add to the way you feel. Thinking of you and praying the meds don't make you feel too puny.
Good luck Mary! I always say that too when I go into surgery and my mom stays with me. We call it our sleep over. I'll be praying for you!
"This is the day that the Lord has made..." Wow, how amazing would every day be if we started out with that scripture every morning! Thank you for sharing your blessings and struggles. I hope that I can share my life and make a difference the beautiful way that you do!
Awe. Bless you Mary and Peter. Feel better soon
Sending prayers to you both! Hope you see some improvements soon! Your room looks smaller than your last but the tv looks good for some Christmas shows!
I will pray for you Mary! Go with the flow girl...
hopefully this stay gets you feeling a little bit better!!! i enjoyed the fashion show!
my go to items to bring to the hospital are my pillow case, a giant fluffy blanket, a fan, snacks, and lots of lotion because hospitals dry me out bad! my feet would always crack and bleed during long stays.
Thanks for your positivity. I needed it today as I got some kinda scary medical news...
Prayers for a speedy treatment stay. Hope the new cocktail if drugs drives out the fungal infection.
You guys make a great team!
I hope you feel better Mary you are so lucky to have such a supportive wonderful loving caring husband in Peter and Ollie is the best too I hope you feel better and that this hospital stay isn't very long... have Peter get you some adult coloring books those are nice to pass the time 😁
Hope and pray that your hospital visit goes by really fast, and MAY GOD BLESS you both over this holiday season, and MAY YOU HAVE A VERY BLESSED CHRISTMAS
Y'all keep me smiling even on days like today where leaving my bed is pretty much not an option because pain in my joints, muscles, and skin.
You're so blessed to have a hospital where peter can stay with you and support you !!! I wish I had a partner like that ! Mary, do you eat the hospital food at all or just cafeteria food ? Happy birthday beautiful Ollie ! Sending you three love !
CF patients get can either order from the room menu or get a voucher for the cafeteria, I have found that there are more options in the cafeteria that appeal to me, so I mostly just do the voucher :)
frey life I have been in the hospital slot in the last year and hard times but you guys make me smile and you guys help me stay positive .... Ollie is so cute😊
I loved at the beginning when you said 'this is the day the lord has made so rejoice and be glad in it' it reminded of my church and it made me start singing the song that the line is from. Best wishes from England uk to you and your family that you CF gets better and not worse
Sending prayers, hugs and lots of love your way. 💞 🙏 🐕
I know it's weird but I'm kind of happy that I can somehow be with you during your being at the hospital. If it's your life, I want to support you and just pray for you and see your progress day by day :) Thank you :)
Hi I'm new to ur channel and I so agree about better beds for spouses. My husband was in the hospital for a week after having two strokes. And when he was in icu I had to sleep in a big waiting room with 20 plus other ppl in a recliner and then when he was moved to a regular room another very uncomfortable recliner. Sending prayers ur way
The other day at my neurosurgeons appointment a lady walked in with a service dog and another family was in the waiting room who had two young children and obviously the kids were pretty interested. They asked their mum if they could go pat the dog (first off I think that's good to ask for ANY dog), and she explained in such an amazing way that they couldn't because at the moment that dog was working. Their curious minds started asking questions; what does the dog do? Does it help the lady see? Can any dog become a service dog? She answered their questions and when she was unsure on some she said that they would look them up when they got home! The whole time I was thinking of you and Ollie, and I was just glad that she handled it in away that her children now know that some dogs are working!
Man Peter your are such a good husband and really look after Mary! You can see the love in both your eyes when you look at each other! I pray God gives you both the strength to get through this visit and that Mary feels a lot better or God heals her.
God bless you both.
I am grateful to be able to come on this journey with you both - your amazing attitude to life and how you bring glory to God through it is truly so inspiring! I hope the meds aren't making you feel too miserable, Mary xx
personally, I always have to bring a cozy blanket, really comfy pyjamas, movies/books/colouring to do at the hospital. Snacks are usually a bit more tough to bring with diabetic admissions but if I can, I like to bring some carb-free snacks etc with me. :)
Good luck with the hospital stay. Hopefully everything goes well.
Good luck guys! Hope you feel better soon!
Hi Mary, Peter and Ollie
Happy Birthday Ollie 🎂 I really liked your birthday toys. They are so good to strengthen your jaw muscles. Even my Chihuahua loves his ball's as much as you do and he's nine. He loves chewing on his favorite tennis ball 🎾 Mary I still get a laugh from the Scotland hospital vlog about poop. Its just so funny seeing your face totally perplexed about what the nurse was asking. Still a good belly laugh. That's so sweet you got Peter a memory foam topper. They are awesome. That would be cool to have the double hospital bed. But at least Ollie can get up and give you snuggles. My thoughts and prayers. Hoping your reactions are few and treatment helps your body.
Hi Frey guys, hope you are all doing well and Mary, prayers foe a speedy visit . Bless you both and hugs to Ollie.
good luck at the hospital mary i wish you the best
Happy Birthday Ollie Boy we love you. Mary and Peter we love y'all too and are praying for you.
I have my port accessed today too and have for like a month so I am singing along! LIFE WITH A NEEDLE IN YOUR CHEST!
I am currently doing IV meropenem and cipro as well! For Chronic Neurological Lyme Disease...but I have to do it all at home by myself. No hospital admissions allowed. At least I have my family all here, but lyme treatment causes symptoms that are extremely torturous. I would never wish this disease on anyone. I am glad you are able to get help from the hospital.
Your fashion show was adorable! Praying all goes well.
The good lord have you this life, because you are strong enough to handle it, and you have definitely proven that! My poodle and I wish you the best of luck in the hospital!!!
Mind blown! I also have a UA-cam channel about my health and am in the hospital so often ever since I was a kid and I've never thought of memory foam for the bed. Genius!
Praying for you Mary!
I hope you have an easy hospital stay! Also, Mary, Your hair looks really beautiful in this vlog!
I am so proud of you!!!!
Thanks!
Happy Birthday Ollie!! From the McDonald's in Fountain Colorado. May you get plenty of rest, and the meds help you, and praying for no reactions. Do you ever do watercolor painting recently? if so I'd love to watch you paint. Well hugs and take care.
hope your hospital stay goes smoothly!
I watched this while in pretty bad pain and watching this or any video from you guys makes me feel a whole lot better from Chloe
I totally agree with you about the bed thing....they need to be bigger...and have you ever noticed that the parent/spouse beds are always beside the window? My mom used to wake up to ice crystals on her blankets because the window was so thin! Hope you feel better and the meds don't make you feel so lousy this time
I just placed an order for the ornaments can't wait to see you guys! I work for the post office. I have worked there for 30 years I'm a window clerk. I'm in California. I'm not ready to retire yet I have a few more years to go! Love you guys as always! Feel better Mary lots of hugs.📬🎄❤️
I just got out of the hospital about 2 weeks ago. I as well bring things to make the room smell nice, I go over everything with antibacterial wipes. And keeping up with hygiene is important. I always have staff compliment. I always "nest"
Love everything ypu did but, do hope you get home soon! Much love & prayers! 💕🐩💕
Yay for the positivity! Just so you know, I got some of the Walmart Christmas leggings. They are magical! Also, can you bring like a little Christmas tree to the hospital? It would make your room look more festive! 🎄 Anyways, love you guys! Thanks for the inspirational vlogs! 💚❤️
If floor space is an issue, maybe make one out of green tinsel on the wall? Or take a bunch of pictures and put them on the wall in a triangle/tree shape?
Natalie H They can always just get a fake one that comes with lights and plugs in! That way it'll be super pretty at night. 🙂
When my mother was hospitalized with ascities, all they gave us was an extra chair that kind of flattened out. My mother was near death and the hospital was not pleased with my brother, and I wanting to sleep in the same room as her (we were not at risk of being infectious or in the way.) we were pretty upset. I'm for better accommodations for families when a loved one is hospitalized
Mary, I hope your stay goes well!
you should do another room tour like last time once you're all set up and feeling ready to move around!! good luck ❤️
When I volunteered at the hospital one guy brought his xbox and a 32 inch tv. and unfortunately we had to move him to another room twince during his stay. We were three people walking back and forth multiple times because he had so much stuff and he was in isolation as well, so that made the whole thing even more complicated :D Haha it was really funny though, just seeing my colleagues' faces as I'm carrying a tv across the entire ward was totally worth it :D
Hopefully everything goes good for You while You're in the hospital praying for You
You inspire me to be more positive while in the hospital as well! The other day my friend and I sat in my hospital room and put together a giant Disney puzzle! Haha :) Thanks for always reminding us to laugh every day, praying for a good and beneficial stay for you Mary!
Ps: love your Mickey shirt today! :) I'm a bit of a Disney fanatic!
You are an amazing person Mary!
So I know you were in the hospital today but I just wanted to know, you were also in my kitchen keeping me company while I whipped up my own little thanksgiving 2.0! I love your vlogs and am so thankful I have them in my life! Thank you!
