This video earned you my sub. Great flow, great information, not bloated with mouth breathing or sensational nonsense. Please keep working as you are doing now. Looking forward to your other videos. ❤
good video. and I like the final result, the metallic look is preserved and the rust is displayed. and most importantly, I can repeat this if I need rust on the figures
Looks great, will give this a go. I have been using the AK pencils, dip them in water a use a brush to apply. They leave a gritty texture when they dry and can build the intensity gradually letting the previous dry.
Thank you. Yeah dirty down is porbabbly the best option, made the video for people like me who dont have access to those porducs in 3rd world countries
Maybe an stupid question but what kind of sponge is that? Ive trying to do similar effect but mine paints too much, even after dropping almost all paint on a surface
@@VikkeDD maybe sand the sponge to break it up? to make sure the paint is not the problem try doing the same with an old brush with split bristles if you have one
I need to steal that sponge trick, that is way cool!
Steal ahead, i want to share as much as i can
By far the best rust tutorial I ever found. Fav and shared to all people I play with.

Without question, I just finished chaos marines in this scheme and they look amazing.
@@GretaThanos care to share me a picture through instagram?
I was a little skeptical, but the highlights and the sponge scratching brought it all together and DANG it looks good!!
Thank you, hope you enjoyed the video itself
@@resourcefulminiatures I absolutely did!
I did not know that about the scratch effect with 'drybrushing with a sponge' that's super useful!
allways happy to show people new things
Very cool, thanks for sharing. The sponge scratches were awesome. I’ll have to try that.

Thank yo so much for This ONE!

I'm lazy. I just use Army Painter's rust effects paint. Works fine for me. 😂
Maybe an stupid question but what kind of sponge is that? Ive trying to do similar effect but mine paints too much, even after dropping almost all paint on a surface
i got it from packing, mybe your paint is tood diluted and some gets trapped deep in the sponge?
@@resourcefulminiatures It's like it's very porous, maybe I should try a metallic or more rigid one?
@@VikkeDD maybe sand the sponge to break it up? to make sure the paint is not the problem try doing the same with an old brush with split bristles if you have one
This honestly looks more like an inner glow than rust to me.
