I find the Skottle a nice cooking tool.........but are very top heavy if the disk surface isn't kept low to the surface it sits on. Have seen many (not all) topple over and the meal in the dirt. Still a very cute alternative or addition to a camp stove. Have fun and a great day.

So far I haven’t experienced the skottle tipping but I can see how easy it could if it’s not on a flat surface. It’s definitely been a great addition to the cooking experience. Thanks for stopping by I always enjoy hearing about different feedback.

I did the DIY $65 Skotle and I never said it was better. I did the video because it is a fraction of the cost and not tools needed like a welder.

Hey! Never come across your channel before, but interested in the content! We boil water using our skottle burner all the time, if you use a 1lb tank and keep nuts just right (lol) the burner slides in and out easily.

Thanks for checking out the channel. I’ll definitely have to try this out the next time we go out. I didn’t even think about doing that. I always use the Jetboil because how fast it boils water.
