o god yeah i think itsa only astarters ships that have anything like the advanced star trek style and even there only barely. navy ships are age of sail with plasma cores
@@ABorderPrince The big difference from the age of sail is that these ships are so huge they have a large permanent population from which they breed replacement crewmen (something I've heard mentioned in a lot of 30K/40K audiobooks). This ship evidently took such severe losses that it had to replenish its human livestock in a hurry - as the visible battle damage mentioned in the story implies.
I'm surprised no one has said anything about Nathan possibly having memory engrams or something. Because twice in the story does he have skills that even he didn't know he had.
That what I love about ships in Warhammer. Everyone is the size of a city, and full of culture, characters, and stories that makes each one special. Nice going Prince, I enjoyed listening to it while playing Battlefleet Gothic II.
I just wanted to say I really enjoyed this reading and this story of seemingly insignificant person was actually stuck next a very interesting character and found his faith in the emperor increase as a result of his experiences with chaos.

i heard of this story on some other guy's lore video around the times i was starting to get into 40k, a man of stone remaining from way back eons in hiding. something so very old. it is nice, as an amateur writer, these are the stuff to teach how to get new prospects, for example, question mark, how could something near immortal as a true AI entity can be rationalizing its nearly perfect logical reasoning to stay hidden from the changing world around it in the span of tens of thousands of years. it's very instructive and amusing how some writers will tackle such concepts...
@@ABorderPrince So it is an A.I. Man of Stone!? Is it....? Probably, but after watching this 2-3 weeks ago, it stayed in memory. I thought was it spelt Kron or Cron, or should it maybe be spelt Kronus or Necron. @@ABorderPrince i agree, Lutein09 has a completely different take on 40k Lore. He delves deep into the lore and then pulls it apart, using technology, philosophy, and psychology to get a really amazing detail out of the Lore. You should look up his Battle of McCragge video. It's amazingly good.
Really like this one a lot your voice is great for this. Really like the story of the ship itself and how it had its own history. Great reading and I love this story. 40k is so rich with lore and stories from regular humans, Guardsmen, Inquisitors and trans human warriors of the Astartes.
