- Apparently PS developers are struggling/ folding? Anyways, gameplay is still jolly fun.
My specs:
AMD 5900x, AMD 6900XT, 64GB 3200 RAM, Auros Pro X570 motherboard, 2TB M.2 drive
this is the best war game out there
Post Scriptum is so much fun, especially commanding a tank is insanely fun. However now with the new updates more bugs, also the fact that a lot of bushes are solid objects for vehicles is just wierd. It’s really a love hate relationship, but still my favorite realistic shooter these days.
I've been playing PS since it was in beta.. and I've never played armour!
Doesn't appeal to me. I could quite happily play an infantry only version of PS.
Bushes are also solid objects in Squad its weird lol
@@philstyle ..and many people ONLY play armour. Total teamwork required.
I plan on picking this up as it's currently on sale and for the price I'll be okay however things unfold. However, I'm trying to stay optimistic that others will do the same and that there's still life left in this game. I downloaded it during a FTP weekend years ago and loved the experience. The only reason that I didn't buy it then was because it seemed like it was dying even at that time, but to see that there's still someone playing and enjoying it gives me hope, thank you
the realism/modding community no matter what happens to the "pub" scene will go on for quite a bit. if none of you have gotten involved before i highly recommend, can join groups that are more serious and more casual but get slots in some awesome events/campaigns - where the game truly shines.

Periscope Games, in this case is just one person. I know his name but shall not mention it. He off loaded all the work on Snazzy for ages, then came back from Thailand ( where he had been doing god knows what ) sacked everyone while they were on the Xmas holiday and then went into hiding. Expect that he will sell the game in the near future. What happens then, is anyone's guess. However, the PS Modding community can do a PS 2.0 with little problem as they have already made some great maps without the devs input. Call it by another name, it will still be the Rose of FPS gaming.

Do most developers now think that MW or BF are the way to go? No strategy, just run, shoot, die, rinse, repeat?
No idea. Just not enough interest. This style of game suits people with a bit of patience.... which humans are a bit shit at.

Isnt it the same devs as squad. They are dropping one update after the other. Maybe shifted focus on that game

A total lack of marketing skills or public relations put this game on the back foot since it's release. The subsequent low income from sales affected the ability of the Dev team to fix the bugs and make new content. They couldn't do both. The concept was brilliant and so is the game but if people never hear about it, it's not going to sell. So now it's in a pickle....

Main problem I had with post scriptum was the low player numbers - specifically the lack of Australian servers. I’ve found that Hell let loose is very similar in terms of mechanics and pacing and has many more populated Australian servers. Maybe give it a go
its sad ive always enjoyed playing it and now due to lack of servers i switched to squad and now i feel like squad is better merely bc of its graphic update and variety of severs. i live in aus so squad had like 5 australian servers 24/7
PS is about teamwork. HLL is about being a lone wolf and dying a lot on your own, for no great result.
@@louisavondart9178if you apply that same PS mentality to HLL, you’ll have a far better time.
@@hampdog5716 Problem I have with geting good teamplay in HLL is so many servers full and cant queue, so stuck with whatever has slots open, milage varies. sometimes people are communicating, other times no one is talking and they're running around like its Battlefield. I dont understand it personally, that type of experience is far more fun on a game like BF where thats the inherent design.
Sorry if this is an annoying comment but I recently got into warbirds on dcs and i just want to know if there is any chance of storm of war coming back
Unlikely, based on how DCS development is going. It's simply too much effort and time to make DCS do things that it really isn't designed to do.; and there are just too many deficiencies that don't fit with the kind of server environment the SoW team want.
Not much has changed since a year ago.
Single PvE (non-historical) missions are really what DCS is built for.

I saw from the map that you were being a lone wolf. That is totally not the point of this game, unless you are a sniper or pioneer/sapper. It's about teamwork and comms, which most gamers are not so good at. That's why they play HLL. Anyway...PS is not dying. People have been saying that for the last 3 years. Fun video though. You get a like.

@@philstyle Go take a look at their video histories from 2-3 years ago. Until then they loved PS and regularly upped videos. Until suddenly they didn’t. Instantly, practically overnight. Instead they switched to a competing game many of them previously claimed to not care about much, yet now they push it for all it’s worth, giving away free keys, etc. some went so far as to delete any comments that mentioned PS and even blocked the accounts that mentioned it. This had a massively negative effect on the PS player base, particularly in the US.
But I’m sure it’s just a coincidence....
