I'm glad I found your channel Husk, made me start gaming again after stopping a decade ago. Keep up the great content.
I like how most people follow the chain of command in this game despite the chaos. It would be nice if Hell Let Loose was like that.
I think the issue is that the way war of rights works is that if you want to be affective and win the game you need to work together and listen to officers while in hell let lose not that I endorce it it is possible to be affective/ create your own fun solo. Plus, the war of rights littraly punishes you for playing solo, even creating the term rambo for those who go off and do their own thing.
@@f-5e126 War of Rights didn't create the term rambo. If you want to play solo like that, then stick to Call of Duty and Fortnite.
@samuraieko5408 I don't not play like that, neither was i saying I had a problem with the game punishing ramo.
HLL only had that in the beginning, than arcade people started to flood in and now it's a free for all.
@@NecramoniumVideo Yeah, I got the game around Christmas of 2021 and the community was completely different from what it is now. I log in once in a while, hoping to relive the glory days but it's just silent people playing Call of Duty. It's pretty sad tbh.

No. You gotta get spamming the T key everytime you sit on a keyboard automatically. Its the only true way.
I've played War of Rights and it is an absolutely PHENOMENAL game, great game, there's rarely racism and it's mostly just a Squad-type game but for the Civil War. Love it.
There are some die hard players on there that make the game a blast. You always run into familiar voices which makes it so much fun.
The racism stuff really isn't too bad. There was just as much of it back in MW2. And some people just like to string it out because "they're being historically accurate." The game is really fun overall and hopefully more people get into it as it is still being developed.
PS. The Confederates at least in PUB matches are always the best and win the majority of the time. And usually have the better officers leading them.

I can’t say I was surprised.
For historical context, the north wasn't completely void of racism during this time. Abolition of slavery as an idea was usually founded on economic grounds. A good chunk of the Union army got upset when Abraham Lincoln officially declared that the United States would ban slavery and also started recruiting freed slaves into special divisions. Some soldiers even deserted.
The reason President Lincoln finally made one of the goals of the war the abolition of slavery was because Europe was reliant on cheap cotton from the south. And they liked to pretend that slavery wasn't an issue. They kept trying to trade with the south even after the rebelled. They were so desperate for that slave picked cotton that the Union was now blockading from going to Europe that it seemed one or more European nations might intervene on the side of the Confederacy. But once Lincoln officially made the war about slavery, Europeans were uncomfortable supporting the south.
TLDR, For peak historical accuracy, both sides should be racist, but with different rhetoric.
The North and South when talking about slavery: **Fist fight**
The North and South when talking about Chinese immigration: **Sitting down together for tea**
Things get really uncomfortable when you start looking into the battle of fort Sumter and the actions of Lincoln. To make a long and ugly conversation short. It's rather fitting a so called "president" is memorialized on a throne with a pair of faci
@@simonnachreiner8380 The use of the fasces in the US predates its use as the symbol for Mussolini's fascism. It's a rather unfortunate, and quite vain, artistic choice based on the idea that the old world of antiquity was so civilized and enlightened and such. It wasn't. It was awful. F-ck Rome. Long may Rome be dead. Athens was sh*t too. Democracy for the rich and no one else and also lots of slavery. No. Screw 'em.
Now, what was that about Lincoln being the bad guy? Sure, he did a lot of stuff that could be considered impeachable, like quartering of troops without permission and suppressing news media that had pro-confederate ideas. Sure.
But let me guess, you wanna talk about how the war was about states' rights. Mhm mhm. Let's hear it.
"For historical context," slavery was never anywhere even CLOSE to being as prevalent in the north as it was in the south, and the south seceded from the union three months after an abolitionist was elected president because the writing was on the wall. Alexander H. Stephens was a founding father of the confederacy, and served as one its Vice President for the entirety of its existence. In his infamous cornerstone speech, he wrote:
"Our new government is founded upon exactly the opposite idea; its foundations are laid, its corner-stone rests, upon the great truth that the negro is not equal to the white man; that slavery subordination to the superior race is his natural and normal condition. This, our new government, is the first, in the history of the world, based upon this great physical, philosophical, and moral truth."
Dude didn't mince words. The entire thing was based entirely on slavery. Tall tap-hat man was going to make them stop buying and selling other human beings like cattle, and they decided they'd rather betray their nation and kill 360,000 of their countrymen than allow that happen.
I will add that a good portion of the actual soldiers doing the fighting couldn't even afford to own slaves. But the rich and powerful of the south managed to get them to fight for them with false promises and outright lies. Slave owners, especially the richest ones, were given special exemptions from service in the military of the confederacy. It was despicable. The war was for their benefit, not the poor. Not the people. It was a war for the rich slave owners, who happened to be in control of the state governments, to continue to enrich themselves through slavery.
Speaking of Europe being reliant on cotton like Britain. Imperial Russia actually sent two halves of their Baltic fleet to protect San Francisco and New York. Back then Russia saw America as a possible ally/counterweight against Britain which Russia was in the "Great Game" with. Just a fun fact. Peace ✌🏻

I really don’t see how it’s any different than players pretending to be nazis when playing ww2 games. It’s part of the role playing in games. Obviously there are toxic people playing, but that’s literally any game.
Honestly if you go into a civil war game and get offended cause there's racism and mentions of slavery in VOIP and text chat, especially one that's set during the battle of Antietam (where Lincoln literally says "that all persons held as slaves" within the rebellious areas "are, and henceforward shall be free." a few days after the battle) then you really need to get a grip.

It's not even controversial. Every game is filled with toxicity. I find more racism in Overwatch lmfao, and the moderation of that game in non-existent for a billion dollar company. It's simple, there's a mute command for a reason. But I get it, negativity gets views. However, I must say this game is not that bad and most people are really nice. 99% the worst thing happening is someone blasting un-immersive music and you can just mute that too.

@@Ed-om9xyonly 3 southern states listed slavery as a reason for succession and during the war you had northern states that had slavery.
@@Ed-om9xy start your learning and study with the Tariffs of Abominations and the civil war that almost started decades earlier with that.

The border states were the ones who didn't think slavery was reason enough to attack the Union. But the others all did, clearly. A quick look at the previous ten years' worth of debates in Congress (and before) show the South trying to impose slavery and threaten war when it didn't get its way

It's only controversial because democrats want to make everyone forget that they were the Confederacy.
And you’re purposely leaving out the part where the two political parties switched ideologies following the civil war over many decades. Where the Republicans were the more progressive, pro-government party and the Democrats being the conservative, limited government party back then, the parties swapped these ideologies with the Democrats becoming the liberal party of the two, and the Republicans becoming the conservative of the two. So you’re either leaving out important historical context on purpose, or you’re just ignorant of history. Either way, it seems that no matter what the name of party was that represented the South, the Republican Party of today is more closely aligned with them politically. Which is the more honest way to look at it if you actually care about truth.
you do realize todays democrats are not the same democrats that were existing in the 1800's correct? so its not even relevant..... the dude above me explains it well

I remember checking everyday of highschool on the status of the kickstarter.
I love this game, not just because of its excellent mix of gameplay and historical accuracy but also because I live in Maryland and often go to the battles depicted in this game as they're now some really cool national parks. So sometimes I'll be bludgeoning some guy with a rifle stock and think "Oh hey, I've been here in real life before!" and then immediately die while distracted by this.
It gets better though because my ancestors include veterans of this war on both sides. My mother's side includes a railroad employee who became a Union partisan, and my father's side includes a man who fought for the Confederacy and participated in at least one of the battles recreated in this game, he was later captured at Gettysburg. In other words this game is my go-to ancestral trauma simulator, I can feel the thousand yard stare of my forefathers
