im pretty sure theres a video of this game out somewhere. and in that video, there is this absolutely psyhoctic sniper who had bodies littered all over the street. COUNTLESS bodies. he waits for axis snipers to join, and kills them. he is the craziest person. god help you if you meet him. Edit after 5 months: wanted to mention that the sniper has the bodies in the same spot, in piles. Well over 100 bodies. If that doesn't scare you, I don't know what will. That guy is insane.
I played it on game pass. If, upon an invasion ending, I quick loaded to just before being invaded, I would very often get invaded again. I sometimes had to turn invasions off just to get through the level, since I enjoy doing the levels orderly, and an invasion kinda messes that up.
@@jakey7563 Seems like it would be harder to me. Seeing as how you have no idea where the enemy sniper is but he will know exactly where you're going based on the objective of the level. Idk though since I don't play it.
@@anthrolover100 the main character can see you through the wall if you’re close enough also he can see what direction you are in focus mode. Go watch some gameplay from the other side and pay attention to the mini map when he goes into focus mode. As long as you keep your distance you have a higher chance of winning as the invader.

These kinds of modes are great for games like this, one of the good things to come out of the Souls games by far. The only time it sucks is when its not optional. Players should always be able to just turn the feature off if they want a chill time playing their game, and switch it back on if they want it to be a little more spicy.
I think you can have a hit and miss with these types of "multiplayers". I really like some of the encounters I had but sometimes you have these typical rush cod type of players and they just rush you once they know where you are and that's just now fun imo. Its always more fun to know the enemy isnt just rushing but setting up his position or moving around to ambush me. Really like this type of PvP.

Both sides need to play properly and then it’s the most fun you can have. It shouldn’t be too one sided either like one side having too many features to know where the other one is.

Genuinely love that movie (Marion Cotillard, perfection) and the story behind it is just Russell Crowe and Ridley Scott wanting to work together but just relax vs the big mega flicks they normally make, so they just set up camp in wine country for a few months and had fun.
that last engagment was amazing, both players at the peak of there class using every trick in the book to outwit each other but in the end you came across the victor congratulations

I watched some guy professionally clear out rooms in DoorKickers 2, a team of highly coordinate guys playing Ready or Not, and finally you with this. Event though I have played the 2nd and 3rd games in the Sniper Elite series and wasn't a huge fan, I really liked watching this game mode. Your commentary was great, also great sniping skills.

Referring to you saying the next game should feature the Eastern Front... I'm still hoping to have Sniper Elote cover Simo Häyhä's story, the famous Finnish sniper. It would offer a new theatre, some actual historical references as well as a breath of fresh air from fighting the Germans over and over again.
I haven't played SE5 for a while but now coming back to it I think there is a huge thing the game could benefit on, especially because of Axis Invasions. Custom missions, being able to create your own level design, objectives, patrols and enemies all that good stuff, not only would it give the game a bit more longevity for solo players, there could be some really creative and fun designs for multiplayer maps and Axis Invasions
Nice video! When the game came out I played it and this was my favorite mod, but at that same time I had a health condition that prevented me from enjoying this as I would any other game at release. You actually made me want to replay it, especially this multiplayer mode as I did not so much like the single player part. But I am not sure if I should redownload on game pass or buy on sale for PS5 (my PC is currently having issues so I prefer PS5 but not sure about its community if I would find any games). Anyway, great video, enjoyed watching it from start to finish, subscribing to the channel!
Adding the ability to control units would break the game a little but would make sense. Maybe they could balance it so you can only control like 3 guys and you need to be like a Sargent or lieutenant rank first? Maybe you can only have them slowly move out, reinforce and pull back but nothing else? If for more balancing maybe have it set so it can only be used in co-op matches? So you get 3 ai but you have two enemy snipers out there looking for your ass? Perhaps you have to sacrifice the ability to use phones to get extra reinforcements?
Asmrpeanut i know that player, well so much for him using ESP. So yeah grats for taking out a cheater. You did the entire Sniper Elite community proud.
I would love to see them add like a 3v3 version of invasion. Where players and npcs respawn at reinforcement points or something spread over the map. They could make it a deathmatch highest kill count wins or some sort of objective point system.
You're not wrong about the gaming stuff you mentioned and if Rebellion have enough stones to do something innovative as axis invasion then yeah they are great and I too wish them the best.
I'm just happy that there are still players that have the option to stop being invaded still off. It's a great part of the game but can be quite onesided in the fun department.
Ngl i kinda want to play axis invasion now. Only played a handful of hours of SE5 but i played SE4 a lot. Managed to finish the first 5 missions 100% non-lethal (95% of all enemies on every map knocked unconscious) without rising any (metaphorical) alarms. I just wanna make an axis sniper go insane
Might find it easier running around with your pistol. It's way faster, less out of breath and much quieter. Karl doesn't hear you and its ready for close-quarters surprise attacks. Easy enough to transition when you have Karl in your sights, avoiding scope glint and accidentally tagging him, which for good players makes him bolt out of the kill zone.

its easier on the other side (playing as karl) you get wall hacks and better perks.

I started playing again, I enjoy both sides. When I play the Jager I usually try to not be obnoxious and make it exciting for the allied sniper

the co-op is great, too. what's even better, is you can have Jager invasions during co-op campaign! it's a lot of fun.

This game was such a sleeper hit. Really fun memories and I also loved the invasions because it really rewards you from engaging with the map design.
