Lectric XP2.0 Folding Electric Bike: alnk.to/g35Mxjf
I just bought the bike. Thanks for your video. It really helped out.
I have this same bike for my wife and I, the manual shows you how to get that throttle all the time, like you want. I've also set mine to kick in quickly on takeoff. My wife left hers on the factory settings. (She's so cautious), I set them both in our Jeep Renegade Trailhawk. One in the back, and one in the backseat. So far they've done everything we can do with them! Good review!
I just got black 2.0 step thru on 6.21.2022 it only took 11days to get it. I've only have 20 miles so far and I love it. It reminds me of some of the old gas powered mopeds.
Excellent review ! Very formative at all levels! Your focus stayed point on exposing the ride - comfort - the performance as well durability of the XP 2 ! Ride Safe ! Thank you !
I am about to order this ebike. You hit ALL points! Thanks for the advise. I need step thru, with my injured left leg it's hard throwing my leg over my ebike. Great teaching!
Great split screen
Hands down the best review of the many, many that I have seen on this bike! Thanks a bunch.
Glad you liked it!
Only complaint I have is the battery size/range. Should have come with a 15ah battery. (I would have gladly paid $200 more for a version with 15ah battery).
The XP 2.0 is a great eBike. I bought one for $949 during the Black Friday deal and it included upgraded seat and suspension post, upgraded front light and lock. I believe the suspension seat post is a must.
Hello Tech of Tech, I just watched your excellent review and ordered the step thru model going thru the link you provided. I am also 5’ 8” and 30” inseam. I was torn about which model to order so this made it easy for me to decide. Looking forward to getting the Lectric 2.0.
Glad I could help!
Thank you for this review.
Excellent Review
I have the seat post on my step thru about an inch higher than the max height line so the mid step would not be feasible.
Solid review.
Thanks
Nice review. Change the 14 - 28 freewheel to a 11 - 28 T and 30mph gets real.
Yes, that is an easy enough change to do.
You can go into the settings and make it throttle only, no pedal assist. This way you can do all the manual pedaling and throttle when you need to.
It should allow both, as do many other ebikes.
I had a thousand watt tricycle thumb throttle no pedal assist never had a problem with it for 6 years now I'm on to the 2.0 I need pedal assist and cruise control fingers crossed although slightly mangled from crash
Very well done.
Thank you kindly!
Do you remove the key when not riding.
Does it work in the cold diary
Hello again...This one or the KBO Breeze step thru for around town on the road use and perhaps occasional lite trail riding? Which one is more comfortable\powerful for plus 50 year old just looking to get back into some riding for a little exercise?
The KBO Breeze Step Thru is my favorite commuter ebike outright. It’s 50% more expensive than this Lectric XP2.0, so I don’t know how that will play into your choice. Both will be good on the power side as the 20” wheels of the Lectric give its motor extra torque.
Thank you
Thank you for your support as always, Kirk.
Excellent information packed review. I would buy one in a heartbeat but unfortunately I’m in the U.K. and shipping to here not offered. Well done.
Thanks for watching! Lectric is selling these as fast as they can make them to the US market right now. I'm sure they'd love to expand to the UK once supply is not as constrained.
Which do you like better this one or the RadMini Step-Thru 2 you tested?
They are both worth what you have to pay to get them. The Rad is about $300 more when you add a rear rack. I think this one is more practical for camping for me because it fits in places the RadMini doesn’t.
I've been looking for a foldable E-Bike that can fit in a Model 3 Trunk, I think I saw someone put the previous Lectric XP (the non stepthrough) in a 3s Trunk but barely ... do you think this one could fit in the trunk or through the door?
I think it would fit in a Model 3's trunk, especially with the seat removed and handlebar brought to the lowest height etc. You could even try deflating the tires just a bit to allow a bit more give, like from 30psi ( the recommended amount) to 15-20 psi. Not enough where they're truly flat or falling off the rim but where they take up an inch or two less and have a bit of give.
Although honestly, I would go with the brand new model they came out with in the last few months the XP Lite if you're going for compactness above all else. And it still has a nice range and will be almost as nice, and it'll be easier to handle. The Lite is smaller in multiple of its dimensions and foldable still.
If you want to ride the thing like a normal bike, you're still gonna have to put it on pedal assist 1 or else its like riding a heavier bike and riding it even on flat ground would take more effort then a normal bike. Now if you wanted to put it on pedal assist 0 so you're not using any power to assist you, finding the right gears so that pedaling feels like a normal bike would mean you would also be traveling as a lower speed because well, its a 65 pound bike with 20 inch wheels.
Are those fat tires 20 inch or really 22 inch? I know the specs states they are 20 inch fat tires. So does that mean those 20 inch Chao Yang fat tires are bigger than say, regular 20 inch skinny tires?
20" refers to the rim size, not the outside diameter of tires, because that's what size you're trying to match when you buy tires. Not sure what the actual outside diameter is of these tires.
the rear taillight on my 2.0 does not act like a Brake light , like was stated in this video. Does anyone else have a non functioning BRAKE LIGHT?
None of them come on as a brake light. My only criticism of an otherwise great bike.
Candy's bikes be shipped together and the price
you gasping for air tells us that it is not easy to fold and pack. 😂
Jealous of the beautiful weather.
NC is a great place to live to have 3.1 seasons. lol
Can I order this bike from you?
You can use the link in the video description to order directly from Lectric.
What happens if something on bike messes up? Can you bring this bike in for repairs
Direct to consumer ebikes like this can be repaired by any competent bike shop. However, not every bike shop will work on ebikes they don’t sell. Most brands have videos for all ebike-related repairs so customers can do the repairs themselves.
I would not recommend at all. I feel like Lectric lied about every aspect of the bike when I received mine. Battery came dead, walk mode doesn't work, only has two working gears (will not downshift), wheels were so misaligned that I had to spend additional money to have a brand new bike "fixed", and now that it rides now, I only get about 2 miles in PAS 2 before half the battery is drained. I was on the fence about a Lectric, Hey Bike, or Rad Power Bikes, but ended just going with the cheapest of the 3. Well.... I guess you get what you pay for. A thousand dollar chunk of garbage in my honest opinion. So absolutely disappointed in Lectric.
There is a setting to add the walk assist. I thought mine wasn’t working, but just had to change a setting. Did you reach out to the company for help? From what I’ve heard they’ve been pretty good helping with issues when they crop up. I hope they get back to you and resolve the issues with your bike.
DO NOT BUY THIS BIKE I took 12 rides about 220 miles rode it to the top of a hill and it just stopped working even thought there was no visible damage the repair guys said the wire had been severered lectric said they may authorize up to $60 in repairs and that they would mail me the part I would pay and they might pay upon receiving a paid receipt $1000 for 12 rides and you are talking to me about paying. If those terms are ok then good luck my advice Don`t do it
Oh poop! 👍💩👺
