Kathryn has developed a first class physiotherapy service,
improving cancer care in so many ways. She has introduced
an innovative 'Wiihab' scheme using the Nintendo Wii to help
patients improve strength balance and movement. She's a
key member of a team that set up the Cancer Rehabilitation
scheme, which links into the Macmillan Physical Activity pilot and
the national exercise referral scheme. And she has also helped
formulate change to ensure a high standard Metastatic Spinal
Cord Compression service resulting in substantial reduction of
length of stay.
