Periphery just went out and created djent wave and it's my favorite genre
Your comment should win an award my man.
djent is *NOT* a genre omg
@@hassansaeed3053 its a joke geez. synthwave is considered a genre, yet is synth a genre?
Sybreed was there before ;)
@@hassansaeed3053 It is a genre. It is a classification of music. Therefore it is a genre. *micdrop*
Me to every Periphery song: OMG this is amazing
Periphery: yeah there is 8 minutes left
AND THOSE 8 MINS GETS BETTER!!! I love it so damn much!
Spencer is absolutely stunning on this record
He's really come a long way across all the albums. One of my favorite vocalists for sure.
@@blaineburns4325 Spencer and Sam Carter (Architects) truely rule the metal genre
you make it sound like he showed up at your door wearing a dress lmao

@@josuastangl7140 100% AGREED!!!!!! MY TWO FAVORITE ALL TIME SINGERS OF THIS GENRE .
Sponce is true Djent Reznor
Sponce lmæ
DJENT REZNOR LOL
lol ahaha lol what lol
SPONCE im crying!! too funny. Djent Reznor omfg... This songs pretty catchy their edm elements and the fact that they have a live house drummer × infinite and the total use of vocals and the content of the lyrics... this is pretty amazing.
It's been five days and im still laughing at "djent reznor"
Before this came out some clown posted an album review and said Periphery played it safe on this album. Wtf was that guy smoking?
Brooks get me some of that shit.
The Metaltris? I thought the same thing, like how is this safe? I think it’s their most expansive album by far in terms of diversity.
I mean. They put out an almost 17 minute long song, this song being more akin to what Spencer would release on endur, and then blood eagle reminding us that periphery can still hit the berserker button. This album is definitely a whole different entity from every other release
@@relyksdjoser6429 Plus there are a few pop-sensible tunes alongside that. This album goes all over the place.
@@blaineburns4325 it works out for the best though in my opinion, I love this album lol
Chorus]
We are the earth
We are the sky
Immortalized
We are the body and the mind
The ancient tribe
If we could only stop the beating
Keeping our pulses from retreating
We are the heart
One vicious heart
Don't let it die
[Verse 1]
A piece of us has shifted sideways and all dignity slips away
A priest, a god live in your beliefs
An escape from what still remains
You can't arrest in the peace when violence is no use
We take the measures, so fuck the poison that's slowly killing you
When living life is a feat and nothing's right with the youth
You drink the poison or pour it out because it's slowly killing you
[Chorus]
We are the earth
We are the sky
Immortalized
We are the body and the mind
The ancient tribe (We are the ancient tribe)
If we could only stop the beating
Keep our pulses from retreating
We are the heart
One vicious heart
Don't let it die
[Post-Chorus]
Don't let it die
Die, die
Don't let it die
Die, die
We are the heart
One vicious heart
Don't let it die
We are the earth
We are the sky
Immortalized
[Bridge]
Further we move, the less we are
Further we pull, the spool of shit we find
Further we move, the less we are
Further we pull, the thread of shit unwinds
Forever falling forward
Relapse elastic on the timeline
Regress, rewind
We push, we pull
Cast a vote for a glass half full
Build it up for the afterlife
[Chorus]
We are the earth
We are the sky
Immortalized
We are the body and the mind
The ancient tribe (We are the ancient tribe)
If we could only stop the beating
Keep our pulses from retreating
We are the heart
One vicious heart
Don't let it die
This whole album is amazing. Thank you, Periphery
Is that you Chester!! Spencer’s voice in this musical context reminds me so much of Chester Bennington! ESP the screams in the middle. Spence killing it this album! Such dynamics
Matt's hi-hat work on this song is very nice.
His hi-hat work on every song is very nice.
sounds like Spencer's really cooking up some nice vocals on this album
dude this whole albums is like a Japanese hot pot lmao
@@joshisbats8904 , thank you for putting it that way, it's perfect
I'm late af but I didn't know Yerv liked Periphery. Nice.
Shit yerv, glad to see you here and yes i agree spencer fucking rocks
I'm so late but Yerv listens to Periphery? Like I needed another reason to like this guy.
I would have never expected a Celldweller-esque song from Periphery
Sounds like a band I'd like to check out, as much as I love this song. What songs would you recommend that are similar to Crush?
Cellmates represent!
Good ear, someone should send this to Klayton.
@@CadetLDCheck out the tracks "Own Little World" and "Frozen"
CadetLD anything from End of an Empire. Maybe Down to Earth and Precious One-very vibey, especially the latter.
@@CadetLD Celldweller is awesome, I think you'd like anything off of his album "Wish Upon a Blackstar." Check out "It Makes No Difference Who We Are" for a vibey-er song, or "The Best It's Gonna Get" for a more in-your-face tune
I was not expecting this to be the same Crush Misha had up as a demo but I am SO GLAD that it is. What a track.
Hail Stan
Creates a synth electro song, and still slams harder than BMTH’s album. Still heavier than most metal albums coming out right now. All hail Periphery!
tacokiss3 plus their opening song is longer and more complex than most FULL albums nowadays. That’s why they’re the fucking best
You mean hail Stan
it's not a competition
I fucking loved Amo but Periphery is GOAT
amo was good, but the djentleman here deserve the AOTY title
I'm liking how all over the place this album is
Jacob W Same
They crammed easycore and synthwave onto the same record, it's crazy.
Spencer has the best voice in music, he can do NO wrong
The ending had me feeling like I should be with Sherlock Holmes solving murders at a dinner party in London in the olden days while tripping on acid.
YES
Totally sounds like the music from psycho lol
ua-cam.com/video/qMTrVgpDwPk/v-deo.html
‘The olden days’ haha god I love it
Or the Ending music could be- an arial shot of a car driving through winding forest roads on the way to said Holmes party at some castle.
OH MY GOSH MISHAS ELECTRO RIFF MADE IT
Periphery confirmed for Cyberpunk 2077 soundtrack when
so excited for that game, it’s unfair
Would be the sickest last minute addition
Would be cool. Misha did a cover of a song in Destiny 1 and they used it. That's actually how I discovered Periphery in the first place
After the Halo 2 Anniversary, Destiny, and Doom connections, it has to happen oh god please
When they fully transform into Glitch Beat :(
I seriously got goosebumps while listening to this song, is it just me or does this band just keep getting better and better?!!!
for real
Heyyyyy I remember this from the op 1 video on Mishas channel! Glad they used it, sounds sick
This has to be my favorite song on the album and I can't stop singing it!
5:20 Alfred Hitchcock hopes you have enjoyed this moment in techno metal.
That part really reminded me of a Hitchcock soundtrack!
@@ElKuhlo and that's why it's good imo
Also that chester bennington scream at the 2:30 mark woooooo!!!
The chorus has the feel of something Starset would do. Love this song and the entire album sm!
It’s like if starset did amo by BMTH kinda
Even after 26 years, tons of thousands of bands and some big shows in the bag, Periphery never cease to amaze me. There's something so soothing about this track I wish I could listen to it all day long. Long life and prosperity, Periphery. You guys are the future of music and hopefully our sons and daughters will be able to witness such beauty.
getting some Celldweller vibes from this song and I'm loving it

All hail Periphery! Always experimenting and doing whatever the hell they want.
Ahh man this song is going to sound SO good blasting out of my car!! 🤘🤘
Hell yeah. Giving my 15s a workout.
i love how you stumble upon different riffs and melodies of the past from them through the album
Nobody asked for periphery to make djentstep, but they did it anyway, highly not disappointed
Every song has a different Periphery sound. Like you can tell it’s them but if you were listening to this blind you might not be able to tell aside from Spencer’s memorable voice. I can pick two songs on this album, play it for one of my non metal buddies (who I feel sorry for), and they would think it’s a different artist.
This is hands down the most valuable 7 minutes of my life I've experience to date, THANK YOU PERIPHERY!!! HAIL STAN!
@5:18 DUDE YES MISHA'S WEIRD TECHNO THING FROM SOUNDCLOUD FOREVER GO IS ON HERE!!!!! LITERALLY SCREAMED SO LOUD WHEN IT CAME ON YEEESSSSSSSSSSSSS
yo I legit had the same reaction lmao
At points it sounds like Misha was real into the demon souls ost
I had a similar reaction, I was like this is so familiar what the hell is this, then it hit me like bricks
I KNEW I heard that bit somewhere before! it was driving me crazy
Do you remember the name of the song??
E N D U R P I H E R Y 2 0 6 9
YEAH BRO!
This song gives me nostalgia and has so many parts that remind me of multiple songs from bands like,
TDWP
In Fear and Faith
Bless the Fall
We Came as Romans
The Word Alive
Memphis May Fire
Asking Alexandria
This album is going to be fucking awesome.
*It IS
Yea man ,they released the entire thing on UA-cam if you're interested lol

My favorite song on the album. I love how they went the way they wanted on this album.
The last few minutes of this track is absolutely amazing. I love how much they change up the tone with the songs main chorus.
Periphery + Endur = CRUSH
Funny how almost every instrumental is from Misha
So this song is the point in the set where Mark and Jake run off-stage to take a whizz, right?
Jake would probably play the keyboard or do some digital jiggery pokery like he does during his solo shows.
Like what even is this?! I don't understand how they come up with this stuff. This whole album is mindblowing gold!
Leave it to Periphery to put an album out there where they not only hit every genre under the sun, but also create a new one. wtf guys. 😂👍🤘
Lol that outro is too sick. I remember seeing it a while back on Mischa’s account but didn’t expect to hear it on a Periphery song. 10/10 album dudes
1:20 - 1:41 i can't express how much i love this part
That outro is a straight up Ratchet and Clank level theme I swear to God. Fucking hell I love this song!
Lmao quark level from up ur arsenal 😆
That outro sounds like some straight up Dragon Quest shit. Love it.
It's crazy, this album is great and so heavy, yet this may be one of my top 2 songs on the record.
music so good it's like a brain massage
I would honestly listen to an entire album of this. I hope they keep this side of them
Holy shit it's the old Misha EDM song
I just hope they play this album as we’re approaching Planet Mars.
That would be badass.
2:56 I can't get enough of that 70s deep space sci-fi part
Y’all made an electronica song and it still fucks. You guys are the best.
I listened to this for 6 hours while working and was completely okay with it. Inspiration. Thank you periphery. Never change.
Periphery has created its contribution for one of those "The Most Epic OST" playlists
Favorite song on the album
The local FYE near me is only getting 2 copies of the album. I reserved both ;)
Resist the absolute madman
Kind of a dick move imo
To me the first part of this song has such a strong Depeche Mode vibe!!! Great track!
I'm so glad to live in this era
Safe to say this is fucking INTENSE boy I tell you what.
Y'all broke that ceiling with this one.
I can't handle this. Unreal.
Might be my favorite track on the album. FIRE!!! 🔥🔥🔥

Just from a first listen, this is the first periphery song I don't like
@@cairesy Yea, I'm not really feeling this one.
@@cairesy this one is definitely different but it's a bop in ma opinion
I think of it as being a breath of fresh air compared to all other tracks like Reptile and Blood Eagle.
Soooo this might be my favorite song on the album
THE ANCIENT TRIBE, youll wake us all up one day. Out here doing gods work 👊
I've wanted this to be on an album since Misha uploaded the demo in 2017 and this is SO SICK.
I thought I was listening to Nine Inch Nails at first.
The way you know its NIN is the off beat high hat beat
Nine Inch Nails is one of Spencer's favorite bands.
NICE PIC
Ya I got that vibe a bit too... Also reminded me of a few electronic tracks: Nero - Circles, Seven Lions - Serpent of the Old God, and Porter Robinson - Flicker.
ChickenSoupMusic Nero- Scorpion too
Every song I’ve heard from this album so far has been frickin awesome!!
Definitely my favorite song in the album at the moment. Every song is magnificent though.
This could easily find it's way onto rock radio stations. Especially the XM ones.
This is so fucking good from a song writing perspective. Every song on this album is a masterpiece but none of them catch the ear quite like this one
I can't get enough of this one! its so different and I love it
This really has a late Linkin Park vibe from what I'm hearing. This album just surprises the hell out of me and I love it. Well played Stan...
I was thinking the same thing. Some of his screams actually remind me of Chester.
So we all just going to ignore that THICC bass??
Nolly-sized girth.
Wait. no, that sounds terrible.

5:00 - 5:07 is pure eargasm
Does no one else think that the little ye-oo at 1:39 kinda makes the amazing moment feel silly n weird
This is literally one of their best songs wtf
this is very Endur-y, happy to see spencer put some of that into Periphery
Amazing song, highlight when it loops on the way to work, always turn it up :)
I feel like CD Projekt Red and Periphery are a match made in heaven for Cyberpunk 2077 tunes. CD Prodjekt Red amirite?
This section at 3:39 with the strings is sooooo good
Periphery will be my soundtrack forever. I'll be a pasty white denzel Washington cranking this in my headphones
I FUCKING LOVE THAT OUTRO
Spencer really MURDERED this album.
absolute banger! screw genres and boundaries this song is pure bliss!
Okay so this is essentially metal vocals over cyberpunk music
So I approve of the title Cyberdjent, and I want more of it. So much more.
Matt is killing it this album
Best song on the album.
Muse and periphery in one song
Kaden Trantham ha! My exact thoughts. Sounds like “Algorithm” at first.
Beau Ferchaud yeah

Just an incredible album and my No 1 song!! 4.00 minutes in is just raw!!!
Love this song! the Synthwave vibes

Haven't even finished the album and I'm already quite sure this is going to be my favorite for a long time. So different yet still phenomenal. You guys are amazing just know that.

The ending sounds like it was inspired by the soundtrack to Psycho lmao love it!
So, this is my favorite song on the album, and thats coming from someone who likes to play hell below on repeat in my car on full blast with the windows down at stoplights. lmao
