The Secret Disney Flops
Вставка
- Опубліковано 26 січ 2020
- Disney have been on a hot streak recently, pulling in a record number of billion dollar film in 2019. However, they’ve also had a string of flops recently as a result of the purchase of 20th Century Fox. Almost every single film somehow bombed. And hard. Does this spell the end of Disney? Absolutely not but we’re talking about it.

A little too much movie talk, but overall a decent pastry review.
This should be a pinned comment
@@andrewturner7888 Thanks man, you put a smile on my face :)
🤣
Agreed, got spoiler from Ad Astra which is something I didn’t want 😩
Oh my god this comment wins
The jokes in this were half baked. We needed at least 10 more minutes to finish baking.
It failed to raise the flour.
Needs more buns.
*at yeast
Ah you fucker I just made that joke...
Time to delete my comment now
If you think I'm going to rise to that one....
I was actually going to unsubscribe because this channel was specifically missing bread related jokes 👍 good on you you've kept a subscriber
Malisa Parker 👍
You got just what you kneaded.
At yeast you let them know
'Also it's told from the point of view of the dog who is Kevin Costner.' That sentence should be added to every high-concept film pitch. It would improve each one by at least 50%.
Just to clarify, you are aware it's a book right?
Melissa Bachmann wait, does kevin costner also narrate the book?
It’s Star Wars 9, but it’s told from the point of view of the dog who is voiced by Kevin Costner
DeezyE so it’s told from Chewie’s perspective?
It's Eraserhead, but from the perspective of a dog who is Kevin Costner
It's a shame that McClunkey: A Star Wars Story didn't do so hot domestically
You mean to say that it didn't sell like hot cakes?
Which is funny because cake is like bread with more sugar.
Did amazing in Egypt dough!
Well, it was sandwiched between two of the worst saga films they ever derped...
and that is why most studio don't care for domestic...
I heard they're re-shooting it again, I wonder what will be changed this time
Brad Pitt's Bread Pit - The ultimate guide to buying and burying bread
(Foreword by Breadpool)
Rule no. 1: Nobody talks about bread pit.
Rule no. 2: NOBODY TALKS ABOUT BREAD PIT!
Guarded by Brad’s pit
@@ballsrgrossnugly Rule 3: No brioche, no flatbread
Nah. It’s the pitts
Bread Pitt is a funny name, but possibly even funnier is Brad's brother's name: Doug Pitt. I wish I was funny enough to make up something like that.
This video kneaded more bread puns.
Waddayagunnado? Hit 'em with a rolling pin?
Dough not give them any ideas
This comment is proof that there were knot enough buns.
I know, I knead more of them
Nice
Mason was really lazy with the bread stuff, stop loafing about. You'll never reach the upper crust of comedy that way.
Under rated comment. It’s only “leavening” a few things to the imagination.
Rtkts plus the video quality is terrible, it’s way too grainy
Yes they’re just not funny even dough they try to hard
2 years later and these puns still rise to the occasion

I think spies in disguise is also spies in DE SKIES. Like that place that birds hang out in, in de sky.
🤯
That's too smart. They definitely did not think about that
@@CoalDiamondandhisawesomeness Or did they?
*Transformers! Robots in the skies!*
That's how I always heard it.
Maso is a lazy loaf. He should rise to the occasion and cook up more bread puns or he is gonna be toast!

Bread puns are the yeast of his worries
“NO”

Bouuule! Boule on those puns!
Yeah pretty crumby performance wasnt it?
This is how we know 2020 has gone on too long. This video came out in January, and I thought Spies in Disguise wasn't out yet.
this feels oddly omniscient seeing how making sourdough went viral this year because of the pandemic
I don’t think there were enough bread references in this video
Brad’s Dadstra is the only way I will refer to that film from now on
I like the ones where you beat a joke to death this is not sarcastic
This hasn't aged well... FOR MONTHS I COULDN'T FIND BREAD! DAMN YOU PITT!
I would have predicted that _all_ movies of 2020 would fail, but I'm from the future.
"Spies in disguise" sounds like spies in the sky.
Or "spies in the skies." And oh hey look, it involves...birds! Why, it's almost as if it's not a coincidence at all!
Just saying that it was based off a book called Pigeon: Impossible
Also made by Blue Sky Studios.
excuse me while I kiss this guy.
All the bread jokes is genuinely why i love this channel so much your comedy is so out of left field you cant help but laugh
This video contained the exact proper amount of bread jokes.
Too much unsatirized facts
Ah, 11 months ago, when people thought some movies could make money in 2020!
NOT ENOUGH BREAD JOKES!!
They just didn't rise to it! Then they are trying to keep the channel among the upper crust so they can collect the dough! Bread!
“I’ve finally won his house.”
James really grabbed dat Gem, Maso and put him on stuff like this for our absolute, genuine betterment, problems in life are better from having one of the best mates from afar cheer us up for the last several years
1960s: we’re going to have flying cars in the future!
2020: Bread Pitt
Found you!
GreenCubed oH sHi-
There's also the movie theatres cut, so even making double the budget doesn't break even.
We don’t make money off of tickets sales. We get our money from concessions.
Mason was on a roll!
A French Roll! 2:12
He wasn’t loafing around.
I thought he was pretty stale maybe if they gave him some more dough he would have raised up a bit.
I love bread buns. Buns are the highest form of humour.
Buns are tight!
@@josecolon7267 the younger, the better 👌
"It's called 'Spy's in Disguise'...That's what spy's are there in disguise!"
That is a very good point xD
James Bond tells everybody his name.
I really want some bread now.
The video editing for “The Call of the Wild” part is top notch 😂 the clip of the dog used for the “bitter rivalry” was too friggen funny 😂😂😂😂
Can we talk about how these two predicted our favorite pandemic quarantine hobby by all the bread references and this entire video?
By god it’s the breadpocolypse hide your wheats!!
BETTER HOPE YOUR LADY HAS A YEAST INFECTION! BECAUSE BREAD IS GONNA BE IN SHORT SUPPLY!
Ben Tsay that has got to be the stupidest reason to unsubscribe I have herd in my entire life
So glad this channel and pod isn't a flop bro!
It hasn't gone stale
I just really love when this guy uploads videos
Not so secret now are they?!
Am I right
To think I once thought Aussies weren’t well cultured. I fucking love you guys. Please forgive me.
Brad's Astra was so boring. A friend and I went, there were only two other people. I fell asleep at some point, woke up. My friend filled me in. Then my friend fell asleep, woke up at the credits. So I had to fill him in on how it ended
Amazing content, absolutely delightful editing... Subscribed!
Sony’s Corn of Coblin is going to make every Disney movie seem like a secret Disney flop in comparison
No “Big Sandwich” jokes?!?! A missed opportunity boys 🥖🍞🥯 🥪
Give a knuckle sandwhich big guy, i can take it
Mason: "I've finally won his house!!" rofl "Grab dat gem you guys, I'll see you next week!"
James: "No you won't!! XD
I thought you'd know by now, Breadpool lives in his own space!!!!!
You are actually needing to take into consideration more when accounting for profits. You have to double the budget for marketing yes, but also take a third off the total for the movie theatre’s cut of the ticket.
So really Stuber lost money.
Remember when Bread Pitta was in Breadpool 2?
Shirtless Brad Pitt, wearing a Space helmet, looking slightly back over shoulder at lunging space monkey, laser pistol in hand. Now that's a billion dollar movie poster
I’ve been having a really really shitty day, but this video made me smile! Thanks for your awesome videos guys!
This video gave me a yeast infection
The bread got funnier every time xD
Those bread jokes were the best thing since sliced bread. LOL (loaf out loud...lots of loaves?)
Problem with Ad Astra was they tried to market it as action in the trailer, and it got bad word of mouth from people being disappointed it was something different.
Same mistake Blade Runner made.
Think about this,
We're back in the roaring 20s
Squicx no we aren’t it’s just the twenties
Dude, awesome.
Rogue Toa ok fine. The radical 20s
Guess they’re not making ANY money this year
Love the editing. Love the puns. MASH.
Nice edit Matthew!
Back in the good ‘ol Days when Disney didn’t own everything
Cory Shirey and movies were trash for it
Roberto Reyes
And somehow you think that giving them all to a homogenized centrist corporation will make them better
Apex 0283 the proof is in the box office. Why would someone make a movie a billion dollars if it’s trash?
Roberto Reyes HUH
You also have to take roughly a third away from what they earned!
Because of what the Theater keeps!!
Maybe I'm off but I thought these numbers were always After deducting all other costs and fees, making the number indicates what actually makes it back to the studio, that's why they're comparing it to what the studio has paid for both production and marketing.
But like I said, maybe I've always had that wrong :P
hylianchriss
Usually these numbers are box office gross through, which would mean the cinema’s cut hasn’t been taken.
It can be even more than that from 'overseas' markets. China keeps most of the box office for Hollywood movies. The studio get maybe 25-50% of the gross depending (on the studio).
@@hylianchriss deadline.com/2018/03/star-wars-the-last-jedi-box-office-movie-profits-1202351603/
The Last Jedi made $1.3bn.
Profit: $417.5m
Love the "2020" line up . . . very little of it happened. RIP 2020
Not 20th Century Studios completely missing the boat on Aliens vs Breadator 😭😭😭😭😭 imagine leaving that much dough on the table
It took until about September 2020 for literally everyonne to be making their own Sourdough starters... Ahead of your time, mates
IT’S EVERYDAY BREAD WITH THE DISNEY CHANNEL FRED.
love all the bread jokes fellas. keep em coming.
Love you guys
2:34 good timing.
I wanted more bread references
More bread 🥖 puns please. Lol 😂 You guys have no idea how much you crack me up!!
Too many bread jokes, I'm gonna baguette out of here.
Mason: Breadpool 2
James is having naan of it.
Haha a look back at people not completely dreading the disaster that would be 2020 😂
Also the foreshadowing supermarket bread ??? Well well funny the supermarket will have nothing lol in about...2 months time after this video
Love the bread jokes you guys never cease to make me laugh:
👍🏽
Joe Hicks never *yeast* to make you laugh
I never heard of that driving in the rain movie and I usually see all the trailers on UA-cam or IMDB. Didn’t even see it advertised on TV.
Little did they know about 2020...
My favourite game is “Bread Dead redemption”
Boring! Real gamers and intellectuals play Bread Stranding
Alan: The Most Uninteresting Man In The World Boring real gamers play Bread Dead Redemption II as well.
i'm really annoyed that Ad Astra and Ford v Ferrari didn't do well.
People always say that they wish movie studios would make more original films but when original films like Ad Astra come, no one watches it.
I like how James wants an aliens tv series and now we’re getting one
What is this, Mr Monday Movies? Get outta here!
It's bread
It’s such a shame that ad Astra didn’t do well. It was such a unique and interesting film. I hope that this doesn’t mean that the director won’t have trouble finding funding for their next movie
I know it's not perfect and I know that it's a little bit weird and slow in spots. But I'm able to watch it repeatedly and enjoy it. It is unique and I like it.
I can't help but feeling it could have been amazing with just a few little changes.
Ad Astra was a unique space journey. Brad Pitt was great as always. Moon-rover chase was cool. A little slow, but well-written and fairly cathartic at the end.
Good point about doubling the budget, that budget was spent already on making the movie regardless of takings. There is also the theatres cut. Not all that cash is profit for the studios, distribution after the cinema and marketing again. Then it just becomes a discount movie, no $2 basket anymore unless it is an absolute classic.
That breakthrough movie could have potentially made more money if they didn’t open the literal WEEK before Endgame released
I would love them to adapt Bred, Bread, Bredemtion to the big screen
I want a remake of Yeast of the living Bread.
I love bread too
the edit of harrison ford shouting at the dog was great
The Fox movies aren't really "Disney Flops" because Disney didn't pay to make them, they were just included with the acquisition. If I buy a used car and the previous owner leaves a moldy sandwich in the glovebox, I'm not responsible for it, but it's mine now.
Ad Astra I was hyped to go see and so was most of my family when we saw the first trailer and thought "Hey this a cast of super stars from every great NASA space movie we love like Space Cowbows and Armageddon, plus Brad Pit and it seems like it will have a good mystery or conspiracy driving the plot. It's been a while since we enjoyed a good fun space movie, the Martian with Matt Damon being the last one."
Then I saw it it ahead of time and had to inform my family that in fact it's a good fun space movie, it's a artsy sad Brad Pitt movie. Which I'd fine, but not everyone can appreciate an artsy film that makes everything feel darker and hazier and more uncertain the farther he gets away from the Sun. I can but everyone else would rather just wait to DVR it one day when it plays on some free Satalite channel.
I think New Mutants has been delayed for so long that when they release it, the delay will have actually built a huge amount of hype
I want to see it. Hoping its good.
If it’s good, I think it might do well. I think many people are on the fence and are waiting for reviews to come in. But if it’s okay, it might be a sleeper hit.
IDK, yall kinda won me over with those last few bread jokes... "cause obviously the first one's gonna make a lot of dough" ....lol
The doubled budget thing isn't a hard rule. It can be much less of a factor for smaller movies(do we figure that christian ice drowning movie spent 14 million in marketing?), or possibly a much bigger factor for huge 'Event Movies' like your current superhero fare.
More like Mr Bread-day Movies amirite
No we are definitely in the 2020’s. 2010-2019 was the 2010’s, So this is the 2020’s
Thank you!
Bryce Bowman exactly you wouldn’t count 2020 as being a part of the 2010s or 2000 being a part of “the 90s” especially since we were gonna die in 2000 or we transported to this strange timeline where Disney owns everything
I...what
yeah, we're not in a new decade yet because the decade ends with 2020, but we are in the 2020s not the 2010s
No it absolutely does not. The 1920’s started in 1920, so the same applies to this year. Every single goddamned other decade began this way, why are idiots on the internet trying to act like they haven’t???
watching this on my phone as it’s propped up in front of...my mickey mouse toaster...that toasts the exact mouse head as pictured in this video. i’m feeling TOO seen
If you are going to show the "Doubling the Budget" because of marketing, then you should also show the Box Office "Share", instead of Box Office Sales. The movies actually lost more than what you are showing...a lot more, because the studios will only get 60% of the Box Office sales at Best.
Spies in Disguise....
Spies in Da Skies
Spies in the Skies
Yeah we already know. Shut up for god sake
Rev 13:4
And they worshiped the dragon which gave power unto the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like unto the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”
Disney?
Space Jam 2 : Space MASH - Bugs Bunny, a wise cracking doctor, has to go to an alien planet to practice medicine during a horrible intergalactic war.
I thought this would be about the old Disney movies that are no longer easy to access and are possibly considered too 'dark' such as Dragon Slayer.
3:41
You didn't even wait 5 seconds before spoiling
smh
He spoiled Netflix's Dracula out of nowhere in a recent video too. I don't like this trend.
The only FLOP going on here is me into bed
Will Smith is a Pigeon is an infinitely better title. I would have definitely gone to see a movie Will Smith is a Pigeon in theaters. The schoolyard talk would have been fantastic. "Hey did you see Will Smith turn into pigeon?" "No what's it about?" "Will Smith turns into a pigeon" "Oh yeah that does sound good I should definitely go see that in theaters"
*Gold*
FYI - This is the perfect amount of bread based humor.
