- The Ewan McGregor Obi-Wan Kenobi series has recently had rumours of delay and cancellation a lot of which turned out to be false. However there has also been a lesser known rumour concerning the story beats for the series. This involves a hidden Jedi disguised as a Tusken Raider, Luke Skywalker in peril and a rapidly aging Ben Kenobi dealing with the rise of Darth Vader, The Empire and his own PTSD. You keep calling Qui-Gon the worst Jedi, but you overlook the true worst Jedi: Ki Adi Mundi himself.
- He was the first to deny the possibility of the Sith returning
- He denied Obi-Wan's request to aid Mandalor, which ultimately resulted in Maul's takeover of the planet
- He was the first to accuse Ahsoka of being responsible for the bombing of the temple, a trial which resulted in Ahsoka leaving the order and further tarnished Anakin's faith in the council
- When Yoda was contacted by the ghost of Qui-Gon, Mundi was the first to declare it impossible. Maybe if he'd been a little more open minded he couldve become a force ghost too
- He derailed a conversation to bring up the battle of Kashyyyk, which prompted Yoda to go there personally. If Yoda hadn't have gone, Anakin would have gone to Yoda instead of Windu upon discovering Palpatine's identity as a sith lord. Palpatine's arrest would've gone _very_ differently had Yoda been in charge rather than Windu.
What Im saying is, if Ki Adi Mundi wasnt such a close-minded prick, the fall of the Jedi Order probably could have been prevented

Fun fact: Ki-Adi-Mundi was granted an exception to the Jedi’s ban on marriage. He had five wives, seven kids and loved to get balls deep.
Why did they grant him such an exception? Were they intimidated by his forehead and sexual prowess?

The series should be called Old Ben. At no point in this series should they call him Obi Wan. "Obi Wan, I havent heard that name since, oh before you were born". I say the script rewrite is someone going through and tipexing out any mention of Obi Wan.

It's had the odd moment that was kinda cool, but overall, star wars has got silly. If Vader can force hold a ship, how did the falcon escape hoth in empire?

I was hoping for a artsy drama about Obi Wan settling in on Tatooine. Maybe an episode on him buying a sofa and an over arching narrative about him getting in a minor argument over moisture farming with Uncle Owen which is why they don't like each other.

Who would have thought leaving the parents of your powerful yet mentally fragile super weapons (Jedi) in horrible situations would backfire? The Jedi really need to learn that maybe, just maybe, bringing the parents along with their kids so they don't get murdered is a smart business decision.

I actually dig this concept with Hett.. it gives obi wan a credible threat to deal with whilst also limiting Obi-wan exclusively to Tatooine which i think would really work with a darker tone which looks into Kenobis’ PTSD but eventually finding inner peace with himself ect... also Luke would only be about 8 by the time of the show so i dont think hell play too much of a major role as for Leia i don’t know how i feel about her being a part of it as it was Organas job to look after her whilst Obi-wan Protected Luke

if disney play it really carefully they could even involve vader into this series.. since kenobi needs to see vader to know he's more machine than man.. and kenobi needs to try to save anakin at some point so vaders words " that obi-wan once thought as you do" make sense . perhaps kenobi is inspired by padme's last words or something..

so this guy goes from Legends to Canon but not ( Insert other peoples favorite character) ? I suppose if one had to argue, this does fit the setting. This whole TV series is going to be a huge collection of things we fell in love with in Episode IV. Sand People, Banthas, Jawas, Sand Crawlers, The Canteena, pits, Jaba, farms, dragon bones, some of that Episode 1 stuff like pod races and junk dealers. Its going to be constant fan service.

3:55 Honestly don’t know how anyone can say with a straight face the Prequels were good. I grew up with them and watching that 5 second clip still made me want to roll my eyes into the back of my head.
I liked and subscribed to this channel. I love the character of the Tuscan jedi (not enough to remember his name) but it was an awesome story in legends, I think it's a shame that there can't any of the interactions between him and anakin.

I would like to see a horror movie style episode told from the perspective of the Tuscan Raiders sharing the terrifying tale of "The Krate Dragon" who has viscously massacred a band of them many years ago. Ending the episode with the "Krate Dragon Call" Obi Wan does in A New Hope.
The tribe that aniken slaughters in attack of the clones is the tribe the sharad hett joined. Part of the reason a'sharadd goes bad is because he finds out about this.
